thanks for this great, straightforward, run down. So nice to see a video that doesn't crap on four ages about themselves, backgrounds blah blah blah but never really gets onto the headline story. VERY refreshing. Keep up the great work!
Love this content, love the channel. Keep up the great work! Great to see indepth on cintent in Warungs and restaurants. Only criticism is that in a couple of vids, you put up the converted price in USd, Aussie $, and eithe Euros or pound. Can you keep doing that so I don't have to pull out my rupee converter? 😊 Would love to see more videos on other hotels and maybe day trips from Sanur. Thanks!
Ah yes. I only started putting those converted prices up on later videos. The earlier ones didn’t have it. As time goes on, I’m taking on board suggestions from viewers to make the videos better! When you want to know more about the hotel situation, would you prefer more of a summary of the types of hotels, where they are, what they’re like or full in depth reviews of individual hotels? I’m thinking of spending the night in popular hotels to get more in-depth information about them, but I’m not sure if that’s what people want to see or not.
@@SanurDiaries Awesome! I love it when the price is put up. Much appreciated!! In terms of hotels, I think both are great. I use the overview (like this one) to get an idea of where the hotels are, their prices, what amenities they have, etc. Then when I narrow it down to a handful, I use an in depth review to make the final decision. For example, in this case, I have ruled out some that were a bit remote and too far from the main road where all the 'action' is. Then I look at price. Oh - wanted to ask another question. Is it possible to use the pool and loungers of a hotel you are NOT staying at if you buy drinks/food at the hotel, or if you give them some money?
@@tripmush Thanks for that. I'll keep it in mind when I'm making hotel vids in the future! Some hotels do allow you to use their pools even if you aren't a guest and each one has a different policy. Check out the Maya. I have friends who have memberships there and they get yoga lessons and pool access. May or may not suit your needs.
next door to griya is the vila shanti, which is not as nice as griya but its still pretty good, if you want a decent priced hotel on the beach, vila shanti is good.
Sounds a bit cliche’ but now we are retired, we refuse to spend over $100 per night and prefer b&b’s or home stays now after our business years had us staying in bland 5 star hotels that are all so similar - slow travel for us now , 1- 3 months at a time wherever we go.
Yeah it can absolutely depend on how much you think you deserve it too. Been working hard, you deserve the 5-star. You often also just want everything to be arranged from transport to food to massages. When you have that extra time, you can really save some money!
I’m glad you like them. I’ve only been in Bali 6 months, but have been in Indonesia for much longer. I’m trying to bring some broader Indonesian insights into my videos whenever I can while balancing it with the Bali we all know and love.
@@stephenprescott4441 that's certainly a step up to the time i shouted him lunch at a local Warung - haha - but i will say 1 thing - the Adam you see on the video is the same adam you get in real life. Thanks for the heads up. Also a very good location by the beach there. Definitely one to put in the mix.

My wife and I love watching your videos. We always stay in Ubud and then at the Hyatt Regency. How long have you been living in bali for?

@SanurDiaries thank you for your response. We are up oct/Nov for 3 weeks. Will shout you lunch at the pizeria if I remember. 👍
@stephenprescott4441 if you remember? I’ll set a reminder in my calendar for a freebie 🤣

It's about 3km away. You can walk along the beachfront path from Intercon or get your transport to drop you up there.
All these beach location destroyed by those water boat. Kids just can't enjoy themselves in the water without worrying surrounding
I don’t think it’s too bad in most locations. You can usually enter the water without fear of being hit by a boat.
