Hi Richard and Karen, love what you guys are doing and the information you provide. If I could ask a favor, when doing food reviews (my favorite part of your show) could you include information about Gluten Free options. My wife is a Celiac and must eat food free from Gluten (no wheat product), I know Bali is all over it these days and it would be good to see how aware and how accommodating Vietnam is. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work, Cheers Lawrence and Kristina.
Haha, think we’ve been to Sanur too many times! Stayed at 4 of these places and a couple not on the beach. Hyatt is our fave, but the Puri is very good too. Great video Richard
Thank you Richard. We’re planning a return holiday to Sanur mid next year after knee surgery 🤞so looking for a place with suitable accessibility, especially in & out of the pool. This video has been very helpful. Currently The Mercure is the winner😊
Loved this video Richard! Thank you for all of your hard work. I hope you got home & relaxed for the rest of the day. The very first time I went to Bali (in 1981) I stayed at the Sindhu Beach Hotel & loved it and have very fond memories from that fabulous holiday. Went 17 times after that but stayed in different hotels each time. I appreciate all of your hard, tiring & thirsty work 🤩🤩
Good clips Richard it showed some of the better hotels in the area nicely. The length of video doesn’t matter I have a fancy pause button on my remote so I can come back anytime lol.
Thank you Richard and Karen…..we thought this video was absolutely fabulous and really appreciate the fact you put so much time and effort in to it, especially being out in that heat. The video has certainly triggered our Bali travel bug 🤣🤣, hoping for a quick trip sometime before Christmas!
Thanks Richard for another excellent informative stroll!!!!! We can walk along that path all day, just love the exercise in between the yummy food. Have stayed in some but great to have a peak at others. Thank you for your effort.
You're a trooper doing the long walk and filming for us... thanks! It's hard to pick a favourite, but guess I'll choose Tandjung Sari Hotel... it's just got the old Bali feel with understated elegance and a fabulous beachfront restaurant.
Excellent video Richard. My wife and I stay at the Hyatt twice a year for 5 nights as a treat during our 15 day retreat. (We save up as much as we can😂) Absolutely beautiful. Great value for money. Are you guys far from there? Might shout you lunch at the pizarea in November if you're around....?
We are bringing our 6 year old grandson to Bali next year and think the Prama would be good for him due to the great pool area. A great video, really enjoyed it thankyou.
I'm sure you'll enjoy Prama. I stayed there in a deluxe garden view room with my 6yr old granddaughter and 9yr old grandson, and it was perfect for us.
@@roamingRichard That would be lovely. After following your journey we would love to meet over a meal or a beer. Will message you when we are in Sanur. Around early November.
Great video Richard. The first time we came to Bali in 1989 we stayed at the Hyatt, I still remember the extensive and beautiful gardens. The room smelled mouldy though, so they upgraded us which was better,
Haven’t stayed at the Hyatt since about 2000 but would stay there again if I could afford. Stayed at Peneeda twice more recently and it’s a lovely affordable hotel.
Inna Sindu is in a great position. Not much else going for it Very run down and needing a good clean My last stay earlier this year was very disappointing Mostly trainee staff , very hit and miss situation with service standards Manager on reception was not at all interested in me and my Balianese family as guests!!! I decided to treat my family to a 2 night stay , I had already paid through on line booking company and had a further 3 nights to go to completion of that booking I booked a further 2 rooms for 2 nights, no discount or acknowledgement She was very rude about who would be paying, not taking into account the hotel already had my credit card and I still had several nights on my original booking She insisted we pay upfron for the extra 2 rooms not just a deposit with final payment on checkput as is normal. I would have left and gone to another hotel to avoid embarrasment to my Balianese family, had I not paid for my stay Thankyou Richard for you hard work and input into Life in Sanur. A stella job
Hi thanks for watching . I have done a few accommodation videos . If you look in my playlist there are homestays and guesthouse that I have been through
Tried my hardest to try and see the handrail for getting in/out of Mucure pool, for the life of me I still can't see it 😂. It's the 1 thing I look for when booking as I have bad knees
Hi Richard, not sure they should be letting you inspect a room where people are staying,if I returned and my room was being inspected I'd be pissed off.
3 x 20 minute videos may be more absorbing? An hour - attention span deficit. And for you, 3 individual releases of 20 minutes and economy in finding ongoing interesting topics. Just a suggestion.
My 2 year old Granddaughter can sit for an hour watching Bluey, LOL my wife and I appreciate the walk in the heat and it was great watching a long one over dinner.
@@DavidFullard accomodation has become a lot more expensive over the last few years. When I do my videos I have found that $200 a night to be fairly priced unless it’s a home stay or even a guesthouse.
Which was you favourite resort/hotel?
