I was under the impression you wanted a vacuum on your ccv? Everyone I’ve talked to said to route it to the exhaust have you also heard this or does it not matter?

Just saw some stuff about this on fb today. My opinion it doesn’t matter. Tons of people have ran the reroute kits for years with no issues! Thanks for watching

If you route it into the exhaust, weld your bung close to or in the downpipe. Otherwise the oil won’t burn off in time and you’ll be spraying oil out of the exhaust.

@@4doors4morewhores I can attest to this, my crank case goes to the exhaust maybe around half way down, if I let it idle for more than 10 minutes as soon as I give it throttle it CHUCKS white smoke 😵‍💫😂

Does this flow just as freely as the vent alone? Concerned with this causing pressure to build up

Yes I was worried about the same thing but it vents out of the top of the catch can just fine!

I keep getting a drop or two of oil from the SPE reroute kit so thinking of adding this to fix that problem. I even have the SPE internal catch can from a few years back but still get a little. Have about 10k miles on the reroute. I don't care about the smell but hate the occasional drip. Wish it didnt hang down quite so low though

You can hang it higher if you wanted to! But yeah I’ve never had actual drops underneath my truck just that usual frame residule

I have the CCV kit on my 2011 that just turned over 60k. I like that I don't need factory BS parts anymore, but I hate the kit itself. My truck is clean AF and its embarrassing going to a drive through and having clouds of stinky ass smoke roll into the establishment. Has anyone tapped into the exhaust with the CCV tube so the exhaust acts as a vacuum or sorts and sucks the stink out?

Yeah a Venturi fitting welded in with a bung lots of people have done it! I like this setup because it’s all the way in the rear and barely smokes!! And at least it’s not smoking by my driver window I feel bad when I’m at chick fil a 😂😂

Still smokes but not as bad especially with the smell either! But it’s at the back of the cab now so doesn’t smoke the passengers out no more!
