- Marcus Hockett and Wade Zarlingo are chasing the elusive Coues deer in southern Arizona. Wanting to be sure of a tag, they applied for the easiest to draw areas known for more challenging hunting. These public lands of Arizona are seldom traveled and are as beautiful as they are rugged.
Arizona offers a wide variety of hunting, and they waste not time getting a "mixed bag" of game from hunting deer, to quail, to ducks. Exploring the steep and prickly country along the Mexican border, they spend a lot of time behind their optics picking apart the hills looking for a buck.

I am glad to see other people hunt SE Az the same way I do. Ducks, Quail, and deer all at the same time its such and awesome day when I get to do that.
That's fairly a monster, that's a really nice Coues buck. I know people who have hunted them for 30 years without taking one that nice. Good stuff.
I love these episodes where Marcus takes the lead. I like his style and outlook.
Man, I love this state! 80% public land, the variety of landscapes is ridiculous. And in years like this one where I didnt get drawn for elk or deer, theres still lots of dove to hunt starting sunday, and OTC archery deer, varmint hunting, squirrel season isnt too far off.. this state will keep a hunter busy and the freezer full!

During the hunts in the Gunnison country, that people paid us to guide them on, I used to tell them, "Hey, this is a 'package' deal you bought. The sunrises, the sunsets, the camp, the comoradorie, the horses, the thrill of the hunt...all of it. If you happen to harvest an animal...you won the lottery."

Marcus great job that's a coues Deer of a lifetime and I agree kill shots aren't that important keep up the good work. On a personal note I notice you have a limp I have AC7 spinal cord injury trying to get back into hunting could you please share if not it's ok

The amount of demonetization RUclips has for hunting and gun channels
For Coues deer do you get drawn or it a over-the-counter tag
OTC for archery. Draw for rifle. Trophy units require draw regardless of weapon.

I bought a hunting and fishing license for az does anyone know where it tells you the hunting License number
Should start with the letter H followed by numbers. If you purchased online it’s by the license/stamp #.
Should be on the back , like Stephen Dallas said it starts with a H .... you should be able to find it on your portal . Log in , go to your dashboard , view license and your most recent one will be at the top of the list . Dont forget the deadline for deer, sheep and bison is June 9, 2020 . Good luck !
