I can also taste Vietnamese food in abroad but it’s changed, not original anymore even we pay 5 time more expensive than cost in Vietnam . Can’t wait to go back. You also can eat all of vegetables. Hi Max, I hate watching your shows 🤣 because it made me want to have what you’re having! Kidding aside, love your shows and trust your taste too, there was that one dish you didn’t like the other day, It didn’t look appealing so I’d have to agree.
I don't know when you will be back to Saigon, but I just want to leave a recommendation in this video. If you crave for an authentic traditional Vietnamese meal, always go to Cuc Gach Quan in district 1. It's also a laid-back style restaurant. I know you might have visited before but I always recommend you to come here more than one time because the menu changes everyday. You don't get to choose the menu, you will eat random meal and you will eat what they serve you. It's more like eating in a Vietnamese household, Max. You eat what your Mom cook, that's the spirit of Cuc Gach Quan.

Super fantastic eats today, Max! Everything made me drool from the xoi to the goose dish to the banh tom (not sure why more people don't eat this more often as it's one of the most delicious things I tried as an adult since I wasn't introduced to it as a kid). I'm with you on the burnt parts in protein like the goose, it gives it extra flavor! And I'm glad you finally wrapped the fried stuff in lettuce and herbs before dunking it as you weren't doing that before. LOL!

I was with Sonny all the time and then he blew up big and I stopped watching most of his videos the past 2 years - prior to that he had AMAZING Vietnamese content. I think when people blow up big, they then start pandering to certain audiences (for example, India has almost as much people as China and then there is also the Philippines - both countries have English speakers and huge audiences on youtube. Vietnamese folks in contrast have difficulty grasphing the English language and are always asking for subtitles and are unfamiliar/unexposed to Western ways) and it's no longer personal, cool, or unique.
