Los instrumentos son como los hijos......cada uno tiene su personalidad. Si no me equivoco hay una tapa armónica de cedro, el resto de pino abeto. Me quedo con el cedro. Bien tocado. 👌👌

Dear Ieva, Watching your videos over the years has inspired my to buy a Muzikkon 7 course lute. I have begun to learn this beautiful and frustrating instrument and I am thoroughly absorbed with it. I spend most of my waking hours with it either playing or tuning it. ( bad lutenist's joke)
So basically my life has been taken over by this assembly of timber and metal and I BLAME YOU COMPLETELY. You have a lot to answer for. Your peerless playing has enraptured me. I look at your videos and look at my lute and my meagre progress and have the same feeling that Hillary had when he looked up at Everest.
You are a bad influence, Ms. Baltmiskyte.

Is there a difference in tuning and playability between the 6 7 or 8 course lute?

Was that natural gut or synthetic Nylgut? The solid walnut surprised me.So did the solid maple.
(Are you sure your not being held captive in a lute factory? Maybe it’s just that your captivating 🕊✌️😁🌹👍🕊)

Maple sounds best. As a classical pianist with a soft spot for Mason & Hamlins Rock Maple..I will only purchase insturments made of Maple for the resounding sound quality.

Are you sure about that? The soundboard (the top) is more important in sound quality, spruce vs. cedar.

@@classicalteacher opinions vary but this is my preference. Yes.
