Soooo....I am not a big cake, cookie or sweets lover. I never bake and I don't want to...😮. Why then, did I just subscribe after watching two of your videos? Because I like you!! You and your channel have a good vibe. Keep up the great 🍰work! 😊
I totally agree with you, for years cakes all have the same ingredients. Flour, sugar, butter/oil, eggs, salt, etc. so just adding one or two different ingredients makes it your cake. I usually follow a cake recipe exactly as it’s written. The next time I make it, I make it my own cake by adding or eliminating from the original recipe. I find myself changing a lot of recipes. My husband has a sweet tooth so he will tell me the brutal honest truth if my cake or whatever I bake is good or not.
Good day to you, I came across your RUclips channel by coincidence I’m grateful that you are sharing some tips so other people can be successful in this business. I would say be blessed and for the better and I will follow you thank you.
Completely off topic… love your glasses - such a sweet shape, and a great neutral colour too; doesn’t fight to take over your face 😂 I’m going to copy you when I go to renew my prescription ❤
I love the rectangular containers with lids you bake with. They kind of suit the idea I have always had for the target market I have in mind. I wonder, though, if I can get them at a reasonable price in this part of South Africa, I reside in. Well, I will do my research about the price. What do you call them?
Just found you...have enjoyed a bunch of your videos. Wish you said where you are located, so I could know if trying your stuff is an option, but I digress. For this one video, I have one comment. No, no, no, no, NOPE. Sorry, but did I mention nope?!! LOL IMHO, and this is just mine, the best cakes in my repertoire, are cakes where I tried someone's recipe and then tweaked. Then tweaked some more. Rinse repeat a few times. Then sometimes I would make a variation on the theme of the final tweak. For this I need my taste buds, not my typing fingers. So yeah, Chat GPT or a good cooks blog or book, may give me my starting point, I want to lead from there. And when my taste buds say "STOP this is just right", I know I have it down. I had major pipe bursts in my home and sadly my handwritten recipe book is MIA, likely soaked & tossed by a worker. In it is my Crusty Apple Cake. It started with a Bon Appetit recipe & I spent a few years getting it to perfection. That one hurts. Luckily nearly all my best recipes ended up on my laptop, emailed to friends, posted on FB etc. But I have looked high and low and can't find this one. Breaks my heart. I can't even find the original. I've tried recipes that sound like the same ingredients, and the taste isn't even close. Nor does the flavor intensify & the crust hold in the moisture so it's better after the first day. But I've made sure I have backups of my backups now for key recipes. I'm willing to bet the only way I'll come close to this again is with more trial and error, regardless of where I get my initial recipe from
This is a good idea. But I wonder…wouldn’t AI just ultimately end up giving everyone a very similar recipe, if not the same, every time? It’s pulling info from the Internet and what is fed into it so it seems it would just aggregate what people say is good when it does a good job and use that.
That’s very possible especially for those who don’t know how to unlock more from it. That’s where the creativity of the human comes in and understanding how to write prompts to yield unique results. It also depends on which ai you’re using. They all give a different base recipe. And yes like you said as it’s fed more it learns more. As you train it it gets smarter, and is capable of producing more results.
Soon AI will take over everything and many will lose their capacity to think. The joys of baking are trying the hit and miss recipes and tweeking things. What happens when the overlords turn off the AI we were made to rely on?

What do you call them?
Yes, I love them too! They’re called mini cake tins, or mini loaf pans
