"Tesla's reputation for quality?" Are you JOKING? Tesla has consistently been at the BOTTOM of the list for build quality.

A friend of mine ordered a Tesla several years ago. When he went to pick it up, he refused to accept it because it was built so poorly. He said that when he first approached it, he saw that none of the panels were aligned. And he said they were really noticeable. When he got inside it, the door shuddered when he closed it. Then he discovered that he could slide the interior panels around. He couldn't believe that a car built so badly was allowed to leave the factory. I laughed and told him that Tesla doesn't believe in quality control. Those brand new cars and trucks you see getting destroyed in movies and TV shows are ones that failed factory inspections and couldn't be sold. Usually paint issues or electrical problems. But Elon Musk doesn't believe in quality control, so every vehicle that comes off the Tesla production line is sent to market.

This is what happens when you have a drug-addled CEO who thinks he knows better than everyone, dictate the direction of a company, instead of hiring people who aren't just there to stroke his hyper-inflated ego. Nobody in their right mind who knew anything about cars looked at this design and thought it was a great idea. But there were plenty of YT 'creators' ready and willing to jump on his bandwagon and inadvertently hype Tesla's stock price (or on purpose because they owned a bunch) based on nothing but vague promises from Elmo that failed to materialize on time, if ever.

Who could have thought that just GLUING everything onto a car could turn out to be a bad idea? Not "genius" Musk obviously.

This car with all the corners and edges is not allowed to drive on European roads. It is too dangerous for pedestrians in case of a collision. The risk of serious injuries and death of pedestrians was never a concern of Tesla. But Europe can not let that slip.

Yours is the only posting I have ever seen that shows an understanding of the terrible design of this dreadful vehicle regarding pedestrian safety.
For dacades automotive designers have minimalised the risks to pedestrians during a collision by making gentle curves instead of sharp, angular edges.
Tesla threw that away when it commissioned this design from someone clearly severely mentally ill.
That a modern manufacturer would be allowed to produce such a hazardous design is something that American consumer protection groups should be asking regulators...

I'm still in shock and can't get my head around how it could be legal in any jurisdiction. It's litterally designed to cut pedestrians in half.

The very first time I saw the Tesla cyber truck ( even the name is ridiculous 😊), the first time I saw it , my immediate thought was “ what a bloody heap of shit “ !
And everything I have seen so far has not changed that opinion.
Seriously, it should be in a console game .
It would seem musks ego is so big , he can’t even admit he screwed up.
Just because you are rich enough to build some ridiculous monstrosity ….. doesn’t mean you should.

This video is a joke , the simplicity of a Tesla ?
There is nothing simple about a Tesla , as for ownership costs , , the fact that you likely will have to replace the $20,000 dollar battery down track or buy another car kinda puts the idea of cheaper to own in the laughable category , not to mention electric cars are heavier , they wear through tyres faster , due to the risk of fire insurance possibly is double or more than a conventional car.
These teslas don’t even come equipped with a spare wheel and jack .
You couldn’t pay me to own one of these things.
