I legit gasped when you said you would throw it out! It needs to be up in some sort of museum or something. Idk you, sum 41, blink, NFG really put Pop Punk on the map my guy.
+1!
@@manouky + another 1
Thanks man! I will figure out how to do get into the right person's hands!
I know Fat Mike has a Punk Rock Museum he runs out of Vegas. You could get it out to him. The dude even lets people play the instruments, so it's not like it'll be retiring.
Way better than a trash can (although those make sick drums as well)@@stevo32drums
A punk museum of sorts, with memorabilia from past punk musicians.. they could call it "The Museum Of Punk Rock Music" and maybe it could be in Reno..or Atlantic City!
LOL I can’t believe you found a way to tie Sum into “Hawk Tuah”. You were born to make Internet videos, mi amigo. 😂
Someone had suggested the connection to me on Insta so I figured I would take it all the way!
This channel is the best thing that happens to youtube in 2024. 🙌
Thanks!
@@stevo32drums no joke, we are stoked you're here
My favorite Sum 41 song and my favorite Sum 41 album. 👍
My fav album as well !
@@stevo32drums agree with you guys. One of my personal all time fav albums
Don't throw away this drum head! It's a piece of history.
It was last used on April 9th 2013, in Kingston Ontario. You guys were touring with Billy Talent.
I was there on stage for that show.
Never crossed my mind it would be the last time I would see you play with the sums ;)
That was indeed the last show!
That’s embarrassing. Sum 41 suuucks
Oh wow Billy Talent (or Pez on whatever first CD I have from them). Haven't really thought about them since I saw them play with My Chemical Romance.
I think this guy deserves the drum head!
A lot of us are big fans...this guy deserves the head....hawk tuah
Dude! I loved Sum 41 20 years ago and then moved on to other stuff and forgot all about them. Your YT channel was randomly recommended recently and it's been a BLAST! I ended up checking if Sum 41 still tour and what are the odds, farewell tour went on sale yesterday. Grabbed a couple tickets. Sorry to see you aren't involved anymore but glad you're happy and rocking it! Cheers
Thanks for checking it out! Hope you had a nice time at the show!
sum 41 is a band that had such a massive inspiration on me and my cousin, i remember re-recording the hell song video with him with our own action figures and showing our parents our masterpiece haha
That's awesome!
I remember watching the Fuse TV series called "Loaded" back in the day. It was just 30 minute blocks of music videos by one particular artist. When this video came up during the Sum 41 episode - my brother, mom, and I were absolutely transfixed by it. Truly a testament to simplicity sometimes being better than flashy garbage.
You’ve got to think that Deryck has watched this and is thinking…”we’ve got to bring Stevo back for one more show.” Toronto? Maybe a practice show at Pioneertown?
Another banger video. Stevo you should react to some clips from the old Sum 41 Introduction to Destruction DVD from 2002. When you guys are messing around in your hometown, water gun drive-bys, dancing in the parking lot, etc. Those clips already have the band providing commentary so it would be sorta meta or hat on a hat, but why not.
I will definitely do that ... i might be interesting to get 42 year old's take on me being an 16 year old idiot
Around 2002 I was a full blown junkie dodging HIV and overdoses ,this song absolutely was in my CD player on repeat giving me strength to try to not get AIDS or die from an overdose ,after several close calls I dodged both of them ,ending up in a psych ward at the end of 2003 after committing a felony . You have no idea how important this song was to me at that time in my life, and frankly it’s the gift that keeps giving ,I’m sober now and a yoga teacher to teens in psych wards and adults in jail and I can’t wait to play Sum 41 in my classes!
"Does This Look Infected?" Is my favorite Sum 41 album! Thanks for playing this song!
You should definitely give away that drum head!
STEVO can you show Thanks For Nothing some love? That song has some great fills and double kick and is one of the rare songs with you doing vocals. I'm very happy you're gracing us with your precence on RUclips, I've loved your drumming since I was a kid and have missed having you around!
I will do a video on that one for sure!
I am so disconnected from society that I didn't even know about that meme! Thank you so much for informing me, Steve!
At it's core, this channel is educational!
One of my favourite songs and videos by Sum 41 “hells yeah, everybody’s gonna be there” is a phrase I have never stopped saying since this videos release! And give away the drum head!! You were a huge influence in my drumming when I was a kid.
Thanks - i forgot to mention that that is Marc Klasfeld's voice delivering that line in the opening
STOP IT! Stop with all the flashbacks to a time where I didn't know what worries were.
I was 10 year old when this song came out and Sum41 was my favorite band ever.
You got me into (punk) rock, you got me playing the guitar, you got me through high school. Sum41 will always be THE band of my youth. Thank you so much for that!
(Don't stop it please, I love the videos ❤Keep up this amazing work.)
As a drummer that went through my late teens when this album came out I can't explain how much I love these videos. I had this CD on permanent repeat in my first car. This is the best sort of nostalgia.
That's cool - thanks man!
I always wondered about the spitting before Hell Song! I'm so happy you're back sharing your humor and stories!
that's how you make in the record business haha thanks for watching
My birthday is April 8th. When I was 15, you guys played a show in London (which turns out was the one recorded for "Go Chuck Yourself). I had the money, asked my mom for a ticket for my birthday, it was the only thing I wanted.
She took us to Quebec to see my brother, instead.
I've been so bitter about it all these years, but seeing your videos is at least a little part of what I missed all those years ago.
Stevo32 is my favorite drummer on RUclips since I was a kid. I wish someday he would play in a world famous band.
Hell song is the perfect song to start the show! Probably my favorite song of you guys! In the next video can you talk about the song that you did for the movie Spider-Man, ''It's What We're All About''?
I will definitely get to that one
That and Noots are two of my favorite songs they did that ended up in a movie/for a movie!
This was THE song that got me to pick up a guitar and explore heavier music avenues. Forever grateful for all Sum 41 but this era/song specifically.
Nice! I am glad to hear that!
Fat Lip riff made me pick up a guitar! But Sum 41 kept getting heavier and was such an inspiration! The Chuck album made me a fan for life! ❤
I love you Stevo you are an inspiration to all drummers. Would you ever do a video walking us through your kits? Showing us what drum heads, cymbals etc you use. Would really help us drummers understand your tones 👍. All the best from Scotland 🏴
imma need that drum head Steve. Y’all are the reason I play music
I'll figure out a way to make it a fair gamble!
This will always be my favorite Sum 41 song. As a kid raised on classic rock, I was always looking for new music with guitar solos, and this song had everything I wanted! Thanks for the memories Stevo!
I remember when I first heard green day on a classic rock station .. it was probably the same week my hips started aching haha
@@stevo32drumsI think I heard "In Too Deep" on a classic rock station the other day...
Thank you for this channel, you’re the whole reason I got into playing drums when I was 10. And a big thank your giving being a part of giving the world chuck. Which is my favourite album of all time. Would love to see you play “ I’m not the one”
One love brother! ❤
This was the first Sum 41 song I've learned on the electric guitar, also one of the first songs in general, and I actually managed to convince my friends to play it for one school talent show.
Good times!
P.S. you should definitely throw the drum head away, but in a trash can near my house
Hahaha
Give me chills every time I see you play, we missed you so much man ! You look so happy that's awesome ! Fan since 2004 when I was 13 🫶
That's awesome! Thank you!
@@stevo32drums thanks to you Steve keep it up ❤️❤️
Hey Stevo, I'm so happy to see you on RUclips. Sum 41 was the first band that I truly loved, you guys are the reason I started my musical journey. I'll always appreciate that. The antics in music videos like this helped me break out of shyness and start to be a jokester
That's awesome! I'm glad we could help! Thanks man!
Great song from a great album. Hands down this channel best thing coming out of 2024, keep up the great content dude!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks ! Will do!
fans would definitely want drum head for sure.
My wife is smart
I remember when you guys hosted an episode of Rage in Australia back in 2004, they played a lot of sick songs and surprisingly a lot of metal, thanks to that episode I'll always thank Sum 41 for being my gateway band into heavy metal, had no internet back then and we recorded the entire episode on VHS, my older brother and I watched the shit out of it, was a joy being able to see all your music videos at the time. The Hell Song is easily one of my favourites and this channel totally rules. Keep up the amazing videos you beautiful legend!
My favorite song off of my favorite album from my favorite band! I’m so glad that the RUclips algorithm has introduced e to your channel. ❤ HAWK TUAH!
Dude, i love this song video so much 😂 one of the classics in the music world
Thank you!
For some reason when I first heard it, Hell Song intro came to my mind immediately!
Same!
someone sent it to me on insta and i was like ... oh i gotta do that!
How cool is it to see these videos and listen to Stevo's comments! Sum 41 lost a lot after you left, bro! I was waiting for your return and I waited! It would be great to hear your comments about the clips where you were the director - Underclass Hero, With Me
so glad you started this RUclips channel. its refreshing to see you with that same sparkle in your eye as back in the day and to learn that you quit the band for very noble reasons. you've aged beautifully my friend! just a thought but it would be awesome to hear you drum to a version of the song with the drums stripped out so we can just heard what you're doing. I know it would be more work for your crew but I think it would add to that portion of the video. either way, its fascinating to see you kill it so hard playing to songs you haven't heard in over a decade. a true talent and shining soul. you often stole the show with your sense of humor and impeccable badassery on the drums. best wishes to you and your family! oh yeah, I think there's millions of people (including myself) who would cherish that drum head if it came into their possession.
So great seeing you back playing drums and making videos! Your videos are excellent, and the sound/video production quality is incredible. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING!!!!
Cool thanks for saying so!
I fucking love this song. The first guitar solo I ever learnt. Spent my youth HAWK TUING and playing that riff!
Living the dream! Thanks man
@@stevo32drums Just making the sound of course, not the action haha. You are the best man!
I bought this album when I was 8! you guys became such a big part of my life ever since ❤️
That's coo! l - thank you!
I was at your last show with Sum41 in Kingston! I crowd surfed for the first time ever to this song
man, you're so fucking naturally funny and charismatic! always a pleasure watching your vids, interviews and other material!
You guys were my first ever gig when I was in Primary 6 over here in the UK for the All Killer tour. Sum 41 is the main reason I'm into Rock and Metal still today
Damn I’m impressed on how clean you played this song. You can tell the difference in your drumming, compared to your previous videos. The way you played it, you can just tell it can only come from years of touring and playing this song
I’m just gonna say it “ over here with the drum head. I’m interested on that drum head”
That smile when you’re playing man…it’s enough to make someone well up. Bravo
Thank you for this Stevo! I missed you when i finally saw Sum 41 for the first time live in Stockholm for like 6 years ago.
Cheers from Sweden.
My first concert ever was Sum 41/Treble Charger at the Halifax Metro centre in Sept 2003. Mom said I couldn't go but I snuck out and went anyways. Then she grounded me for two weeks. Thanks alot Stevo.
I feel partly responsible for your grounding... sorry 'bout that!
Dude thank you. Every video is so uplifting and impossible not to feel your free spirited fun. Its cliche but thank you, feels good to laugh and just forget about crap
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I am also a drummer, and I always love playing this song! I was 14 when this album came out, and this was the first music CD I ever bought.
Dude, I absolutely love the insight into one of my favorite bands from growing up. I love how just fucking goofy you all are 😂
I love these videos, I feel very nostalgic for the time when you were part of Sum 41. I hope you can play Walking Disaster one day, it is my favorite song and I love the rhythm you make in the first part of the song. Greetings from Spain Stevo!! ❤
I will get to underclass heroes songs and walking disaster for sure at some point thank you!
This channel has been amazing. I grew up in southern ontario so you guys were a huge influence on me as a teen, I play ska as a middle 30 something now, but your style has always been one my favorites for the pop punk genre.
Don't you dare throw it out! 😂 That would make a lucky raffle winner so happy!
I don't know how to explain why, but it is so clear and obvious when you play these songs that you were the original drummer. It's so different to the normal RUclips drum covers. Someone else could play it exactly the same and it still wouldn't feel/sounds the same as when you play it. Just the BEST new youtube channel!!
Thanks! I think we just played them so many times in so many settings - big shows, small shows, inside outside, on TV etc etc ... the muscle memory is deep with this one
Jeebus, i had to watch you play the bit over the solo a few times. Drums complementing the accents on the solo. Besides being WAY cooler than everyone, you are also INSANELY good at playing drums.
This should be obvious, but your cross to bear is that your incredible musical talent is overshadowed my your even more incredible personality.
hey man - that's cool of you to say! Thanks !
@@stevo32drums omg omgomg!!!!!
Love that you are back inland making videos. Really insightful and brighten my days. This was my favorite era for Sum Fartie One and I think any fan would love any kind of memorabilia from these eras!
Don’t throw it away! It’s a part of history 😃
Please make some kind of contest so I can have the opportunity to catch it over here in Sweden!
I really like your channel! “Does this look infected?” is on my top 3 of best Sum 41 albums. 👍👍
I think I’ve commented on RUclips
It’s crazy that you can still play these songs so well after all that time. Dude, you have to do a video talking about “still waiting”. With Will Sasso and how your kit kept changing throughout the video. You don’t smoke? Well you do now! 😂
This channel is gold. Love your personality Stevo. You always seemed like the crazy, party guy in the band, and your personality is built for RUclips.
Good to see you interacting with your fans and stuff as well - top content!
Just got my ticket for the final Sum41 UK show in Cardiff in November - it ain’t gonna be the same without ya!
Thanks man! Have a nice time at the show!
It's so badass to get to watch you play some of my favorites from when I was younger
thanks for watching!
"does this looo infected?" Is my favourite album too! This channel and this series of video are pure gold! Keep on rocking 🤘🏻
Thanks man!
Thank you Stevo for continuing to delight us with
your creativity, І look forward to the next video
Haha right on steve this is friggin hilarious man. Watching you play is awesome you're so fluid it's great, thanks !!
This is a great channel concept with surprisingly good production. Looking forward to the next one.
I am so glad you're making these videos reflecting on your time in the band and with such joy! I hope you are able to perform with the band for their final shows, I've never managed to see Sum 41 despite being one of my favourite bands from the age of like 12 (now 33!) but thankfully managed to get a ticket for the last London show! Your presence in the band is truly missed, Does this look infected is also my favourite album you put out so I do hope you get to play some songs from it with the rest of the band. Keep it up with the great content :D
Hetfield doing the spit in Harvester Of Sorrow live is the og for me
Absolutely love this song, this is the first sum 41 riff I ever learn. Keep doing what your doing stevo
Love love love the play throughs. Keep em coming!
This is one of my all time favourites, can't believe it has such a serious story behind it, glad to hear your friend is doing well though.
Dude it’s so amazing to see you play these songs again and how much fun you’re having with them! It only feels appropriate to have Sum invite you back to play some songs with them for one of their final shows. I hope you get to hear from them soon! Peace and rock on 🤘🏼🤘🏼
So rad to see you connecting with the music in a nostalgic way. I can really feel your enthusiasm and passion igniting as you look back and revisit these tunes.
My favourite record too! I remember my dad buying it for me when I was 11. Still listen to songs from it everyday!
If no one wants that drum head I would love it. I've been listening to you guys since I was 10 years old. I discovered you courtesy of Now That's What I Call Music! 8 in 2001 if you can believe that lol. I've been playing drums since I was 19 and you guys have always been a huge inspiration.
Dude! I asked for this video (along with other people) 2 weeks ago and here you have it my man. Thank you!
Thank you so much another amaaaazing video! So entertaining as well!
This means alot to me cuz I work in a Music School back in my hometown in Greenland.. and so it happens that I’m teaching this kid named Gregers he’s 12 years old, he’s a really cool danish kid with alot of desire to learn the drums.. he’s learning so fast.. he just learned to play The Middle by Jimmy Eat World, now he’s on his second song, which is The Hell Song.. and I’m stooooked to finally have video that I can show and imply on my teaching methods.. you know, an up-close footage of the original drummer, showing the fills and the and the details as well as the energy of the song.. juuust amazing!
I’ve been a huge fan of you guys since I was around his age.. so it’s really cool for me to watch this and it makes me sooo happy you played this song, takes me back 20 years it’s so awesome \m/
And, so, I’m trying to pass on my abilities as a drummer, and it makes it really cool that I happen to work in a Music School.. I have currently 8 kids that I’m teaching at the moment, they’re all on vacation (which most of us are at this time).. so, (continued in the next..)
..So I’m currently away.. but I’ll soon be back to teach again.. can’t wait..\m/
So, these kids are like from 8 to 14 years old.. and I’m trying to pass on my knowledge in music.. at the moment I’m teaching primarily punk/hard rock/pop punk.. etc
Not to mention paradiddles and other stuff like that
I myself, play in alot of different bands where I live.. grew up playing your songs as well as other awesome bands like Blink 182, The Offspring, Bad Religion, Green Day.. you know the drill..
Music is my life so I’m more than stoked this video came out.. and I hope for alot more to come.. so I can teach more Sum 41 songs to the kids!
I was tryin to add something else but I kinda got lost in the track.. but anyway.. Love your videos, Love you Stevo32, you’re awesome! \m/
E Ca Hi!
You Sir are an absolute gem. Greetings from a fellow drummer in the basement from Bavaria! I enjoyed every single video so far :) Keep on rocking. Hawk Tuah!
This Channel is legit the best thing, sum 41 was one of the many bands that was the staple of my pre double digit years 🤘🏻love hearing the meaning behind some of my all time favorite songs
thanks for watching!
I lifted that crash crash snare crash crash fill for so many of my bands. It worked in metalcore, hardcore, punk, and even shoegaze stoner pop. Awesome vid
You have always been addictively entertaining! I'll never forget gathering after school with my friends after one of them got the Does This Look Infected with the bonus DVD. We were dying of laughter the whole time! Thank you so much for this channel 🙏
This song was the first sum41 i ever try to played on drums 2002 i was 18 yrs old 😆😆 brings back good memories steve...
Loving the channel! You were a massive influence on me growing up, so happy to see you on here. Thanks for the hilarious / awesome content!
Keep up the grat work dude! The deep dives on history take me back. Excellent stuff!
The Hell Song is one of my favorite Sum 41 songs. Does This Look Infected?, is a classic Melodic Punk album. You did awesome as always, Steve!
thank you!
Such great videos, it's awesome to hear the stories behind the music and watch you nail the songs one by one. Can't wait to see more! 🤘
Thanks!
One of my favourite Sum 41 songs ever!
Me too!
I love to watch these with my guitar in hand, and play along with you in the Play Through section. Brings be the capital F back! I'm not crying after the Play Through, you are!
I'm not saying I need that drum head, but I need that drum head. I saw Sum 41 for the third time at Download festival this year. I bought a Sunday ticket just to see them and literally cried my eyes out for the entirety of the set, especially during Hell Song. Both happy and sad tears. Got my tickets secured for their final show in Leeds this October. Keep the videos coming Stevo, you're a legend
Amazing - have a good time!
I’ve always thought you were 1 of the best personalities and coolest members of the band and never felt like it was the same without you. I still love all that old stuff and can say you all were 1 of the bands that got me into punk music really heavy. I remember being a middle school kid and watching the fat lip music video on tv all the time and being like this is so cool. Still probably 1 of my favorite music videos of all time. Love the channel man and all the stuff you’ve been doing!
Thanks man! That's cool of you to say!
Thanks for this video! I really love those stories behind the songs. And you seem to really enjoy playing drums again. It’s nice to watch!
Thank yoU!
So sick! Was hoping you’d play this! Awesome your doing these videos
A raffle would be amazing for that snare head! Would be awesome for someone to have a small piece of Sum 41 history! Also, the excitement you have for playing again is infectious! 😈
This is one of those songs that comes along sometimes where every part is damn perfect.
Stevo, you're like the coolest dad ever. Keep coming back here for cool stories and amazing drumming!
That's the plan! Thanks for watching!
Everything about this video rocked! Keep 'em coming
I’ve always loved sum 41; always in my top 5 favorite bands. Watching all these videos you’ve been posting. I forgot how humorous, carefree, and charismatic you always were. So cool to see you rocking out and happy and watching you play along with the songs with camera on the drums made me appreciate the skill and passion you brought to the songs even more than I already did before! Keep posting more videos! And don’t throw away the drum head! Haha
I want that drum head!!! I love this channel! I’m so glad you are making content! I love it!
The opening riff on this song still gives me a shiver up my spine to this day. I gotta say, it blows my mind how you can just jump back into these songs having not played them for ten years or even more in some cases, and you still fuckign rip it! Its a real blast to watch your videos (and derycks stories on hos channel too) please keep making them!
These videos are amazing. Its not the type of content i'd normally watch on youtube, but being a huge sum 41 fan growing up (and still to this day of course), I had to give these a try when you first started making them - and im so glad i did!
Keep the amazing content coming, i really cant get enough of these!
Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Another great video! Keep it up, Stevo!
Dude, you're so rad. Fun watch. Thanks for the vid.
