thank you for uploading an updated video about the development of your garden. I recommend using an eva sponge with a thickness of 50 mm for your floating raft because it is more durable and not easily mossy.
Thank you for your elaboration on quite a few issues. Could you share the duration that you run the water pump and the aeration pump. Also how many aeration pumps do you need per table and of what capacity?
Thank you for sharing the experience and congratulations on your RDWC !!! Please I would like to know what the average depth of the trough is (distance from the raft to the bottom). Again thanks
Can you please elaborate on the aeration system you use? Do you have an aeration system inside your sump pumps or do you have air pumps and air stones in each of the tables? I have a reservoir 4 cubic meters big and the water will get pumped out to 44 tables whose total water volume is totals 36.9 cubic meters.
My problem that is worrying me is how will i put a drainage system in that to remove the water after 14 days or a month later. Please would you suggest how to use a drainage in this system. Or i could use a submersible pump to drain the water?
Dear sir I have watched your videos very carefully regarding hydroponic farming I am very confused about the season. The first is how many liters of water should I use, the amount of chemicals and the temperature needed to grow green house vegetables?
Hii... It was a awesome video... I'm from India .. I would like to know about climatic control... Are you using only shade net or fully controlled polyhouse??
Its very ok the plans for hydroponic stystem about this future its very expensive for electric and also the water have chemicals to use to grow the plants.question they no harmful effect of the body in the future...
Hi thanks for the video that was really good information. what are you hot season growing temperatures. I'm planning to set up a system like yours in Fiji where the hot season air temps are 34c day and 27 night. Thanks Simon
First of all “beautiful lettuce”! I do a few RDWC and will start building more beds this week. Your comment about changing the water every 14 days concerns me. That’s a lot of water and I don’t have my own well. So, what do you think about using a large filter such as a swimming pool sand or cartridge or disk filter to avoid having to to completely changing the water every 2 weeks?
As was mentioned in the video its recommended that you change the water but not entirely necessary if its above 1000L and your plants are doing well, in that case you can change it every month or two or when you feel necessary depending on your system. Using a filter has its pros and cons, like clogging etc but the main reason for changing the water is to replenish the micro nutrients and remove toxicity (by the build up of unused nutrients etc).
I'm thinking about making boxes like these but then sealing them with fiberglass tape and marine epoxy. I live in a moderate climate (San Francisco) so I'm not concerned about insulation. Are you doing something to aerate your solution? I have small systems in which I'm using Tetra Whisper aquarium pumps for aeration and also adding some 3% peroxide regularly to keep down algae. Most of the time I just top up my systems, although I do check and adjust the EC and pH as needed. When I need flower food for my roses etc I take some solution out of the DWC system for greens and sweeten it with flower fertilizer before applying it. I'm a heretic at this point because I use Rapid Grow Bloom, which has most of the same nutrients as some hydroponic fertilizers. I'm impressed with the results you are getting with what is still a relatively simple technology compared to some of the CAE's I see in other videos.
Yes we are aerating the systems ,not sure about the fiberglass tape and marine epoxy maybe a pond liner will work out better but its up to you , thanks
Could you please explain why circulation is needed through the sump tanks? Also how is water pumped from the sump tank to the water bed? Are there water pumps installed in the sump tank?
Great video. I am wondering what happens at setting the seedlings and harvesting mature plants. Do you experience any problems in these areas? Do you need more space to make your system more effivient?
We tried to get the most out of the space we have , It came with some problems like harvesting and cleaning the system but we have improvised if you have the space then you can build it differently
What is the ratio of nutrients per 5 gallon? What is the spacing between net cups? Also I'm thinking to add fans and exuast fans to control the temperature. would you agree? I was thinking of doing nft system, however after watching your video I decided to go with DWC I'm half way done. I really would appreciate your advice and input thank you so much for your videos keep up the good work.👍👍
The spacing between the net pots are 25 cm or 9,843 inches regarding fans it depends on your climate we did not need any we have also moved on from nft and I think you made a good choice about the ratio I would have to get back on that

Need more information about water system.
thanks for this update

Awesome setup and growth! What is the NPK of the solution used? Also what about aeration? Do you have airstones in there?
18%- N, 18%- P, 42%- k, 12%- Mg, 8%- S, 2%- Micro nutrients.
Yes aeration takes place in the sump tanks.
@@AHhydrogrow Thanks! No Calcium Nitrate?
Great work there. A quick question here.
Do you have a store where I can source nutrients or do you have recommendation?

only shade net

No not at all

Thanks Simon
we experience similar temperatures
Thanks man / women
Did u instal stone earators inside water to give oxygen to d plants?.how many did u instal please?

It really looks nice
I was surprised to find you’re in SA. I am as well and find this video more relevant than others. Where in SA are you based?
durban
Is the shade mesh enough to prevent flooding the beds when it rains?
Thanks for the update video! Can you please explain how the depth regulator works?
we will make a video on that soon
@@AHhydrogrow thanks so much.
Hi
When will you do a video on the plumbing system and in particular the depth regulator.
soon in the next month or so
What is the ratio of nutrients per 5 gallon?

The spacing between the net pots are 25 cm or 9,843 inches
regarding fans it depends on your climate we did not need any
we have also moved on from nft and I think you made a good choice
about the ratio I would have to get back on that

Awesome thanks 👍👍
What is that medium you use to hold the plants?
Awesome technique. Can we grow cucumber in this setup?? If yes.. Then please tell me more about this
no, it requires a different setup
Great setup/ What is the depth of the water?
approximately 10cm (It falls more towards shallow water culture)
@@AHhydrogrow How stable has the water temperature been over the seasons with the lower than normal volume?
Sorry, now do you sanitize the water containers that are buried in the ground?
yes we have to sanitize them to insure there is no contamination.
Is your water regulator more of an external bell syphon system
similar ,we will do video on that soon
Would you please share your plumbing technique?
ok, we will explain more in a future video
