You’re a cool ass dude, sorry I know I commented on a couple videos already but you’re videos are very interesting and they help me a ton with raising my little tortoise
Your videos are so informative and great ! Thank you so much for this information bro, I’ve only seen a couple of your tortoise videos so I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but will you be selling any of these tortoises or keeping all of them? It’s totally cool if not! I was just curious :) thank you!
bro I have a question how you can say that they are not too much in humidity and they just give them the exact humidity like 60%? how would you determine that?
I'm mean but the one that fell on his back 😂😂😂😂😂 so cute 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 0:11 I already know. They can die like that. Don't need to attack me. I don't own a tortoise but this popped up in my feed. I own a baby common snapper. His name is Barbosa. He's 2 inches long. He's adorable and looks like a Dragon.
So I have a water bowl but my torise never goes in it and I have a small decoration egg bowl and I think he might drink from their but he never goes on the big one
so im thinking of getting one but im in a colder climate so will i have to constantly use a heat lamp and also do you have to add humidity to the whole area or just a part of it
I like to spray down the whole enclosure one or twice a day and keep a part of it constantly moist and letting it dry out maybe once a weeks just make sure it doesn’t get moldy. I recommend a smaller species for colder climates so they’re easier to manage. I have Russian tortoises but they’re adults they stay around 8 inches and redfoots I have babies available and they get up to 13 usually but there can be bigger males either way much easier than a full grown Sulcata.
Don’t have any Sulcatas right now but they’re on preorder they’ll hatch in a month! I also have other species You can get them here shadowsreptiles.com
@@stephanie40540 Hi She is alive and very healthy . She eats very well. And she runs sometimes and growing, but her eyes are closed all the time. Thanks
@@ccharraf look this is what I found With some tortoises, a potential cause of closed eyes is lack of humidity. In the Hermann species, this is unlikely to be the problem as these tortoises are from the dry Mediterranean and cope well with our climate. It is most likely to be an issue with her housing.
I don't understand how you don't have more subscribers. This content is really helpful and essential.
Chase OfTheMondays thank you 🙌🙌 I’m glad it helps
yea
It helps a LOT.
I cant help, but laugh at the one falling at 0:10, its so adorable and funny 😁
Btw they can die from flipping over. Most common in the wild tho.
That’s not funny it can kill them and it hurts them
@@hopoff812 i know, i have a tortoise of my own. I make sure to flip him gently back over, unless he can manage, which he usually can

Putting your tortoise in the shower:
Tortoise: It’s Raining Men! Hallelujah! It’s Raining Men!
What wattage UVB bulb/basking light do you recommend?
This
or if you feed them lettuce you can put it in water for them and feed them the wet lettuce
I have 2 babies… I’m worried they’re not drinking water. I force them in a little tub of water just like you do… but they seem irritated! 😢
Yes sulcatas are a little harder to see drinking water. The redfoots almost every time drink right away.
I got a sulcata baby tortoise can you tell me how long it takes them to grow and to get the temperature For it?

I will be picking up my Salcuta hatchling tomorrow. I have a question about pyramiding. Could this be caused by the water?
it’s caused by humidity and over protein diet.
pyramiding is basically obesity for tortoise
What were the little brown balls that you showed?
So I have a water bowl but my torise never goes in it and I have a small decoration egg bowl and I think he might drink from their but he never goes on the big one

My herman tortoise have her eyes closed for a year now. Fo you know what may be the problem please??

Her eyes were open when I got her. And yes her eyes are moving ans sometimes when I switch off her light off she is sacred and moves her head.
Sorry but what exactly is in the box/container, it's my first tortoise and my dumbass put sand on the container, what should i put instead?
Cyprus mulch, sand isn’t good
