For really dense mixes another tip is to use delays instead of reverbs then add some reverb to the delay signal. This helps where direct reverb just smears everything across a dense mix
They will probably do a video on delay in a future video.
Yes 100% delay is usually in my chain
Panning the reverbs is so OUT OF THE BOX! Neat trick!
🙌🙌
Great ideas for making reverb fit in better and some creative stuff, too. Thanks.

Haha yes, I always try to think of the best way to explain what is already in my head 😅 thank you so much!
@@soundsbydiana That should say "which I never do", typo. 😀🎙🎤🎹🥁
I watched this to see if we're on the same page with using the Reverb FX. Thanks! Neoverb is worth testing for, since Ableton's Convolution Reverb and other M4L plugins have got automation issues. However, I still like to use authentic spaces as the reverb source.
Glad to hear we're on the same page 🥳

Some nifty tips here! P.S. is this your vocal featured?
Thanks again
Hey thank you so much! No that’s not my vocal I wish haha
nice video
Thank you!!
The Abbey Road reverb technique is pre eq- the SEND to the reverb, not the reverb itself.
High Pass at 600hz Low pass at 5-8k the SEND into the reverb, and it can be done with any plugin. Put the EQ before the reverb.....
Thank you De Ana, that's an excellent presentation.
Here's my tip, following a happy accident I had one time. Imagine you have two takes of a vocal. Run the first one dry as the vocal and use the second take (muted) for the pre-fader reverb send. The slight discrepancies between the two takes add more interest to the reverb.
Then you can take it further by using a tremolo effect as an amplitude LFO to make is shimmer, or else the rhythmic sidechaining you mention.
A song that showcases reverb sidechaining possibilities is 'Amends' by Braids: ruclips.net/video/XCRWxw0M1sw/видео.html
Never heard of this one but that vocal sounds so cool! I will have to try that!
Ig of Ana😅
6:10 Just curious why did she leave auto gain turned on on the compressor? You want to duck the reverb volume then why leave it on?
Because She is showing a already finished mixed and masterd project just showing element's of it for the video.
Why have you deleted the Learn section from your page? As a beginner producer I was learning a lot from there 😢
It's still there! Please check out the tabs at the top of the page to go to different sections. www.izotope.com/en/learn.html/
@@iZotopeOfficial When I open the page a message appears "whomp, whomp. We can't seem to fino what you're looking for.
Don’t despair, here are some helpful starting points:"
Only the shop section works on the Izotope page, everything else does not load or an error appears
