Can I ask, how useful are these greatcoats in colder climates like, for example, Norway in the autumn and winter? Would the coats have kept the British who were in Norway in 1940 adequately warm?
So, I don't have any anecdotes from British soldiers in Norway in 1940, but these greatcoats are not optimal for Nordic field wear. The long skirts kinda get in the way, and the wool isn't thick enough for very cold temperatures. But I know that many Brits were issued with coats lined in sheepskin before going to Norway, and those are supperior, at least for drivers and guards.
Great Descriptive video m8, I didn't know this at all , great stuff 👍 😀
Do you know where I can get any high quality and accurate reproductions of such military greatcoats?
WPGCE makes good P40 greatcoats, but they are a bit expensive. SOF also makes them, but the colour is a bit off so buy at your own risk.

@@Thomachi Thank you for the reply. I have seen photos of some British in Norway in those costs and have wondered how suited they were.
