On 24 K Magic tour 2017, Andy Paak’s band, Free Nationals opened for Bruno. They started hangin & hippin each other to obscure old school stuff, then started writing Leave the Door Open. During pandemic shutdown, Bruno called Andy on his birthday to invite him to the studio to finish the song. They did, & Bruno said, ‘You comin thru tomorrow?’ Paak, ‘you already know’, rest is history, fo real! The best thing to come out of the shutdown, no doubt!

I love silk sonic I'm crazy about Bruno they make such great music but I love that they decided to do this kind of music Bruno & Anderson met yrs ago Anderson was opening for Bruno they been friends ever since once Bruno brought each one of his band members a 50,000. Watches Bruno's dad was friends with Michael Jackson back in the day

Fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I do remember a few times when the Soul Train scramble board was never completed by end of the song.🤣 I think they had trouble with spelling, "The Delfonics" or another group.

Wow! I have oops! Just a correction, that the 1st song they were writing together wasn’t Leave the Door Open. As you know, that was the 1st one they released. When they were on tour in 2017, they started messin around with Smokin Out The Window, almost like a joke. And that was the one Bruno called APaak during the shutdown to finish in the studio. Then sayin, ‘You comin through tomorrow?’ And it snowballed into a full blown album project, basically puttin the studio on lockout, meaning no one else uses that space for all the days they workin.

@@thisisitreactions I think it's called Soul Train: The Hippiest Trip in America. It was made before Don Cornelius unalived himself, as they say now. They interviewed celebs, his son, some of the dancers ..... it was good to see how he created such an iconic show. I don't know if you've done the whole album, it is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
