Lisette, out of all the channels I follow, yours just slid into the top spot. I love your honesty and unfortunately there isn’t as much out there as one would hope. I love what you said about affiliated unboxings. It can be exhausting to listen to an affiliate unboxing when you know the review isn’t exactly sincere. It’s pretty obvious. I thrive on honesty and if I leave an honest (aka snarky) comment I get a lot of angry reactions. Too bad. My Comments. My rules! You go girl and paint for your enjoyment alone. I love you and your channel and will be following along on the next phase of your RUclips/Diamond Painting journey! ❤

What you said about not being an "Affiliate" resonated so much with me, because that's always how I've thought of that aspect as well. I pride myself on having (what I call) an "honesty channel" and I've always had a slight issue with how affiliate relationships would affect that. Although many people say that they will still be totally honest in videos where they've been sent a product, I have some slight concerns about that. I don't think it's that easy once you're an affiliate. And yes, yes, yes, about enhancements! I also hate enhancing canvasses and I never do that. I just like to work on them like they've been charted. And by the way, I hate working with AB's, and I think fairy dust drills are over-hyped. Once down on the canvass, they look like normal drills to me🤣 And I don't do events at all. They aren't for me. I don't want to work on a canvass merely because it meets the theme of an event. I want to rather work on what I want to work on when I want to. Friend, you and I seem very similar when it comes to our diamond painting hobby. Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your plans with us, and I can't wait to see what will be uploaded. This was such a fun video, and the ending was great! And of course, it got a thumbs up from me. Idk if you will see this comment cause it's an old video, but I just wanted to tell you how big of an impact your destash project had on me. See, I'm brand new to diamond painting, started with some small partial drill mandala canvases from Amazon that were enough for me to fall in love with DP, then bought a cheap Starry Night canvas also from Amazon that I didn't like and gave up on. I decided to buy my first ever real kit, and was considering CCAD "Tree of Life". Like I do with many things before I buy online, I looked on RUclips for any reviews and videos of it and found your unboxing video on it. I wondered if you posted a video of it completed... That was how I found your epic destash video.
Dude, you are a influencer for sure-- a destashing influencer. Cause you made me realize how easy it would be for me to fall into the trap of buying lots of kits and not doing them, just hoarding them out of FOMO and telling myself I'll Get To Em All Someday. I have just that kind of personality and a history of doing it with my other hobbies. If I had only seen all the DP RUclipsrs and influencers doing it, making it seem like that's just the nature of the hobby, I probably would have done it too. But you've made me want to buck the norm and be a Only One Kit At A Time girlie. I have bought one (1) kit, one I am really excited about, Diamond Dotz "The Kiss", and am determined to finish it before buying another, then finish that one before finishing another, and so on... (FOMO is still so real though, and I'm considering bending my rule to be only one *type* of kit at a time, eg partial drill, full drill, full crystal-- I still really want Tree of Life and I'm paranoid about it going out of stock before I'm finished with The Kiss-- but that's an extremely slippery slope, isn't it?)
Thank you for influencing me in such a positive direction and making me determined to not let this hobby become cluttered like my other hobbies. You gave a dose of reality by showing how difficult and how long it takes to ACTUALLY Get To Em All Someday. You've set an amazing example in a culture of overconsumption, and shown it's possible to do this hobby another way. 😊

I LOVEEEE this video! The ending was my favorite part😂. I actually watched it twice because it was that good. I agree with you about events and affiliates. I dont like deadlines and lately all anyone cares about is followers and sponsors and giveaways. As for affiliates, you cant convince me that they are honest 100% of the time😅. I like that you plan on doing unboxings and reviews in the same video. Most people unbox paintings never to be seen again. Most likely because they got it for free. I dont completely understand a passion project but im sure it will make sense once i watch the video series. Cant wait to see your interview next year 😊

Hi Lizette! These changes are not what everyone else is doing and that is great. I stopped watching a number of creators who just steadily unboxed kits. One in particular was always showing DAC kits and was probably spending a fortune. I am careful with money so your approach is more how I see crafting…for the joy of doing the craft not how much I have. Thanks for being a trail blazer! Take care! 🥰💎

I'm really new in this community and found you well into your detox, but I really like this new approach you're having to diamond painting
I don't have a stash for one because my budget doesn't allow it but I know myself and I know even if I could, having a big stash would overwhelm me too much and I feel it would make diamond painting feel like a chore instead than feeling as a relaxing, pleasurable hobby
I am super excited to see where your channel goes and all this new content ideas you're putting out there

Hi Alica and welcome to my channel - I'm so glad you found me
I love your new approach, Lisette! After doing this craft for over 4 years, I discovered some of the same things you have. I don't want to be pressured to do a certain painting by a certain time. I want to do the projects that interest me at the time and do them at my own speed. It's one of the reasons I stopped doing events (they also just gave me an excuse to add to my stash). I did enjoy the comraderie during the events, but in the end, I prefer to see diamind painting as a relaxing hobby that I do at my own pace. I started doing it to reduce stress and anxiety, but it ended up having the opposite effect. Too much pressure. I'm going back to how I did in back in 2019, but with more knowledge of techniques and accessories. I see it as a win/win.

Great video! Love your stripped down concept for content. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to watch every video from favorite content creators when much of the content is often duplicate info. Also, I don't like AB's either.

Sorry, even heel eerlijk 😊 ik hoor liever alleen jouw stem. Ik luisterde ernaar tijdens het was ophangen en kreeg af en toe het idee dat ik naar een kinderprogramma keek met de stem van de interviewer 😂 (waarvan ik nu lees dat jij dat later erin hebt gezet 😅). Al begrijp ik heel goed dat je een andere vorm wilde uitproberen (!) (en vast tijd over had zonder diamond paintings 😅...) en zo te lezen vonden anderen het wel leuk. Vooral blijven doen wat voor jou leuk en goed voelt(!!) Overigens vond ik het einde wel erg grappig 😁🤗
