Awww! that painting is so whimsical and a delight for your daughter to do. I think it fits a 10 year old perfectly What a great mum you are and it will stay in the family. I hope she gets to put it up in her bedroom so both she and you can enjoy seeing it completed. 💝

Hey Lisette, when you said you found a unicorn, I was so excited to see it! But then you revealed it and it wasn't a unicorn. I was like, "That's not a unicorn!" Haha, I'm such a ditz sometimes. It took me about 10 seconds to realize ...oh a unicorn...hard to find. But it's still cute! I love that your kids (your daughter + canvas ❤) are playing together and sharing your passion for diamond painting. It's such a precious moment. Here in the States, most kids are glued to their iPhones. Enjoy this precious time with your family! ❤

It’s great when children want to join you diamond painting. My grandchildren have been doing it since they were 4.
I wouldn’t think of the canvas as given away. It’s still in the family and will be able to see it being done. No buy for me again. I have not been painting for a while, lost the mogo to sit and do it.

I can so relate to your situation with your daughter. My little niece, which I got into diamond painting came for a play date and she went thru my stash and "claimed" all the ones she wanted. Either for her to make or for me to make for her!! 🤣 I'm like, "Hey, little lady, I bought them for me!" And when she comes over she wants to work ony current wip and I always go back and straighten out the drills after she is done so I totally can understand what your dilemma on letting her have the kit and working on it. Such a good mama! ❤

How nice to have a diamond painting buddy. My daughter diamond paints now to but she moved to kentucky. I live in florida. When she visits we paint together and I bake treats. We have a great time!

I was able to "resist" getting new diamond paintings again this week from DAC (4 months NO Buys). I knew the Hannah Lyn "Joker" was going to sell out and archived since her contract with DAC has ended... so sad! and resisted in getting the Randal Spangler that was released this weekend as well. I think of you every time I want to buy a diamond painting and tell myself, "You can stay STRONG like Lissette! My HERO!" 😎
I'm still working on my DAC Chuck Pinson's "Almost Heaven" (80% completed)... started it for the Chuckalong Event back in March and determined to finish it before starting a new diamond painting. (93cm x 70cm) 😬😬

Wow, that Hannah Lynn is pretty!!! I laughed so freaking hard at your daughter picking THAT ONE. I feel your pain! I don't even have children, but I so understand exactly where you're coming from! I am very territorial about my stuff and I was so glad I didn't have a sister trying to share my clothes or anything else.

I just finished Purnell and am currently working on a custom from paint with diamonds I received as a birthday gift from my husband. Which jumped through my stash of 12 in front of dragon hill😅

A mother’s love💕 Though I have a large stash I don’t want to let any go. None of my family relate to this craft so I’m safe. Good girl! Proud of you even though you might need a bandage ( another painting to replace) to stop the bleeding.😂I hope you continue to enjoy working on them. No buying and working through those same 5 WIPs in between key chains and door hanging diamond special drills for gifts and presents. Yes the paintings are presents too 🙄. You had me laughing! I would totally be just like you on giving away one from my stash. What we do for our kiddos. Hey it's my 4 year anniversary of Diamond Painting which speaking of kiddos, we did my first one together. After four years, only counting license work I've completed 24 paintings have 2 WIPS and 27 in my stash. Not too bad. Unfortunately I tend to gravitate toward huge paintings so it takes me awhile to complete one! Have a great week!

Yeah! Great that you got Grandious Greece 👍 I worked on it in January and loved the bright colours. Can't remember having any problems with the drills. In fact, I liked the older drills better than the new ones

Oh Lisette I can so relate to your video and feelings. I have an almost 6 yr old who comes and “helps” me on occasion with my current WIP. I am happy to let her but also relieved when she gets bored 🤣 She does have 2 small ones of her own she is doing. I was doing great for weeks but then got the second Anna Dittman from Jaded Gem and also 2 yesterday from DAC the Spangler and the Margaret Morales 🤷🏻♀️

I definitely had a win this weekend! I fought the urge and fomo, and didn't buy the pretty Margaret Morales kit that came out. I have too many, and i really need to cut back. Thanks for the inspiration with the stash detox and count, its been very encouraging and helpful.

Not bought anything still have a lot of points and i loose them all in June i though if i don’t buy anything ( shame as theres not been many paintings i like )
But i see what i do . Working on Amsterdam canal, and couch Dragon ( got quite a bit done on this one ) But sadly my physio noticed that my Right elbow not good 😢 i had a lot of pain last month my ulnar bone has become loose at elbow 😕.We are just keeping an eye on it . Not over do anything .

I do not have kids but can feel you how difficult that must have been - my niece started with diamond painting (small cheap ones she got from someone) and already 'threatend' to help with mine (mostly DAC) when coming for a visit... ohoh... but I would have done the same as you... love her so much. Think I will get a WIP to do together with her when she visits and hide my other treasures 😉😉 As for myself I am starting now a Detox journey (have - loved your destash videos and am planing to go along with your 24 stash plan (maybe only 12 for me I am a slow painter) with only refilling the 24 (12) from my own at-home-shop till I am down with all the 62 DP's I have. I calculated the value of all my DP's - well.. that was shocking.

Lucky girl to get Starfish. HL was never my thing but I did get a few over the years. I completed one and threw away the others. Little did I know they are collectibles now. 😂
It would not have mattered. I am not a seller. I am a tosser. I can’t believe you have completed two already. I am still working on a Halloween kit from last yr. Maybe, just maybe I can finish it by Halloween this yr. I am not a sit in one place and DP kind of person. I am active and summer is coming. I would rather be at the lake with the dogs. Hi Becky - I use diamond painting as a moment to 'pause' myself. I'm on my feet the entire day and tend to forget to rest; That's why I know take concious brakes - I get a cup of coffee and sit down and work on a small section...those small sections add up and that's how I get so much done.
Hoi Lisette, weer een fijne video om te kijken. Wat fijn dat je dochter het painten ook leuk vind. Wel een beetje jammer dat de painting niet zelf kunt maken... Maar geeft ook weer de mogelijkheid om je voorraad enigszins uit te breiden met ronde paintings. Wellicht een idee... als ze halverwege is om haar zelf een painting uit te laten zaken op de site waar je zelf ook dan net iets wilt gaan bestellen. Zal voor haar een mooie beloning zijn 😉. It is fun to watch destash groups! Glad you had success with ebay. I got my stash to 14, my limit is 15, so I one comes up I can't live without, I don't have to! Also, wondering if DAC has something special coming this week

Aww you're so funny with your emotions about Starfish. Very sweet. I just gave 4 kits to my grown niece who loves diamond painting but can't afford them. But I'm on a mission to reduce my stash and sometimes trying to sell isn't worth the effort.
Keep in mind DAC is doing their anniversary this coming week so you'll have lots of opportunities to find a new round treasure. Which Hannah Lynns are you still looking for? Would love to help keep an eye out for you.

Ik begrijp je 'teleurstelling' in het moeten loslaten van Starfish 😅. Ik zou hetzelfde voelen. Mijn dochter van 10 zou ook 1 kleine (echt mini van Aliexpress nog) afmaken zei ze een jaar geleden, maar nooit afgemaakt... Ze is erg ongeduldig 😊. Dus knap dat jouw dochter het aandurft! Nu op zoek naar een mooie vervangster ❤. Ik heb nu al een tijdje niks meer gekocht (gelukkig). Ik ben vrijdag jarig en dacht dan koop ik met de korting die ik krijg nog 1 (of 2 kleine). Maar degene die ik wilde zijn inmiddels uitverkocht 😮 en mijn laatste die ik echt wil is nog niet op voorraad. Dat wordt dus toch niks of mogelijk een nieuwe die zaterdag uitkomt. Ik sta er nog dubbel in, want stiekem weet ik dat ik genoeg heb 😊.
(mijn achterliggende gedachte is dat ik nog niet kan wennen aan vierkante steentjes en dan afhankelijk blijf van de ronde die dac een stuk minder verkoopt tegenwoordig). Ik ben benieuwd naar je vorderingen. Groetjes.

Hi Lisette! I did have a win, or what I consider it to be. 😂😂 I did buy 4 paintings this week. BUT I have not bought anything since what we call “cyber Monday”. November 27. I haven’t gotten my log book up and going yet. I’m pretty sure I don’t have 24 premium. I have a few , well probably as many, budget painting as premium paintings. I don’t have much desire to do them but I’m going to most of them. Most of them are 30*40. 🤷🏼♀️

Bless your heart, you can always find a fun painting to replace that one. I just gave my daughter (she’s an adult) about 6 of my unopened kits. She will have fun with them and it gives me a little breathing room. Congrats on the eBay purchase! Do you have Mercari in Europe? I’ve gotten two chuck Pinsons in pristine condition on Mercari and one on eBay. So far all those experiences have been perfect. Great video as always!
You're absolutely right. No, we don't have Mercari, but we do have other sites like that - so I'm hooked on them right now LOL
This kit is available at a diamond painting website. It's called Grandiose Seaside Diamond Bead art. It allows you to customize it to size and choice of square or round drills. It does not mention the artist's name -- at least at the page I looked at it. So I don't know what to make of it. The site has many beautiful and whimsical AI-generated (appears to me) art images for purchase. But I am not sure about if they credit the artist or not. I didn't click to order (perhaps on the order page they credit him) but I didn't see his name next to it in the preview. But I recognized it's the same image as this painting you're showing us in your video.
Thanks so much - but I'm afraid that one won't be legally licensed. I myself only order legally licensed artwork so that I know that the artist is getting compensated for the artwork that's being used.
@@LisetteCraftsandTells I found many other kits there at that site too that I've seen over at Dreamer's copyright of Wumples. There are a lot of "Wumples" designs at Dreamer's. I think the Wumple's studio is likely an AI generating diamond painting company. I'm not so sure about the grandiose Greek image with a named artist at DAC though. That one I'm wondering about. I'm not going to order it from that site. But I'm not concerned about purchasing AI generated diamond painting kits because I'm sure studios are cranking those out in bulk all over the internet. A named credited artist though is more important so I will only buy them where I'm sure they're going to be compensated.
Ohhh what a dilemma! You did the only thing you really could do, but boy wouldn't it have been nice to have had a slightly larger stash for her to choose from?? (only slightly!). My win this week was avoiding the "free gift" that DAC offered with purchase. I was so tempted and went to the site, but the one painting I wanted most had gone out of stock again. I took that as a sign to skip it!

Hi Anna Maria, no I'm not switching to round drills. I was just switching out one diamond painting for another. Some people find squares harder than rounds, but I recommend just trying both out and see what you like best. I work on both, because I like both.
Hi Lisette. Kind of a double edged sword - so happy your daughter finally loves diamond painting and sad that you can’t get that one anymore. It’ll be fine - when she completes it, you’ll get to look at it!! lol. I had a win. It was my birthday last Thursday and I got some free points from DAC and 20% off. Hmm. I honestly didn’t know which to buy and I didn’t want to just buy anything just because. So I bought none. However. I guess it’s DACs anniversary and they are giving us 20% off !! So. I will take advantage of that since it’s clear that I’m supposed to use 20% off either way. Haha. Like my logic?? I’m looking forward to hearing how she likes it. ❤
