jonathan lopez I'd put Joaquin, Daniel Day Lewis, Al Pacino and De Niro. But yeah Joaquin is like just incredible. I'm glad he is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
I must be honest. Until Joker I never liked him. Either hated the movies he's in or felt his part was the most disguisting (like in Gladiator). But I watched Joker in the cinema. And this is clearly one of the best movies and most important movies ever made and... Joaqin in that movie was mind blowing. If he doesn't win Oscar for this I'll be LEGIT very pissed. Weirdly, I still don't like his other movies or characters but now I can see more depth behind his performance. It has A LOT of pain. When Joaquin won the oscar, i said to myself: finally, been waiting 13 years for that. I thought his performance in Walk The Line was outstanding, and when i saw Day Lewis praise his craft..i was like, yes yes i knew it..it just brings so much joy that he is getting the appreciation he deserves.
Yes, Joaquin was great in "Walk the Line"! Just as in "Gladiator" and "The Master" as well:) If it was up to me, he would have more than one Oscar by now 😊 But I agree with you - I'm so happy for him and his current recognition! ❤
True. He was mesmerizing in the Master, and in Gladiator, and i saw in one of your video clips that Russell Crowe praised and thanked Joaquin in his oscar acceptance speech, like how many times do u see a lead role character admiring an opposite role?? Close to never. Thanks for making these videos.
It was The Master for me that he was in the Daniel day lewis class. He was so brilliant in this film. I actually told everyone that he would win and oscar for Joker before they even started making it. I was just so convinced he would be a very creepy Joker after his performance in The Master.

Hate to burst the bubble bc I'm absolutely fascinated with this man. In an interview on ABC News recently the interviewer (Terry Crews?) always asks his guests to sing a few lines at the end of the interview and Joaquin refused saying "because you want it too much that's why I won't do it." So funny. But if you google - is Joaquin Phoenix difficult to work with - apparently he's impossible. Walking off set in the middle of takes etc. The only person he didn't do that to on Joker was de Niro.
@@ksc743 The interviewer is Peter Travers :) And about walking off set, I've only read about him doing that in the context of "Joker", I don't know if he has behaved this way in other films. If he didn't feel that he was doing well in the scene, he would leave the set for sometime. Other actors were suprised but none of them have anything bad to say when they are asked about working with Joaquin. And he's known for apologising to his costars or crew for not behaving entirely normal before or after filming. So I wouldn't say that he's an actor who is impossible to work with. No, don't hate him, but I am tired of his acceptance speeches. If he is so concerned about how we treat people and animals etc. How about he and the rest of the Hollywood elite who are dressed in gowns and tuxes that cost god knows how much, and eat their plant based meal and gold encrusted chocolate Oscar statues, that gather to pat each other on the back, why don't they forego all of that and drive 30 minutes down the road from the Dolby Theater to Skid Row and help so real people out that could use the help. How many people could they help with the kind of money that is spent on the Oscar's. How many mansions does Joaquin have. How many times does he take a jet to go promote his movies. It's all a bunch of crock
@@kellyfeltzer5402 I see what you mean. I always feel kind of conflicted when the stars talks about these issues too. But, on the other hand, they also have a right to express their opinion and thoughts. Talking about Joaquin's case, he has repeatedly admitted in the interviews that he's not perfect and sometimes acts hypocritical but he wants to get better. I also liked his speeches. I might not 100 % agree with everything he said, but the way he expressed himself seemed authentic, touching and it did not have that unnecessary judgmental tone these speeches usually bear. What also is important not to forget, that he has been a vegan, an activist and a memeber of various charities for a very long time. Just during this recent new wave of fame he became more vocal about it. So, I don't know. I think it's better to speak up somtimes. But that's just my opinion. It might not be right at all :)
@João Ferreira, I volunteer, I feed the homeless, I buy items for them out of my own money. Necessities, like toilet paper, pots and pans, because they have none to cook with. I go in and clean out the apartments of hoarders, because management is going to kick them out, because their apt. is a fire hazard to them and the rest of the tenants! If not, they would be out on the streets! I am a nurse, I help people everyday. I work 70-80 hours a week nursing, because that's how long it takes to care for my patients. They are the down trodden, the ones that know one cares about, taking time away from my own family. This extra 40 hours a week that I work is unpaid because I am salaried. Second of all, I don't have millions like the Hollywood elite do, and more importantly I'm not telling everyone else how horrible the are because they choose eat meat and dairy, nor do I tell them how they should be living their lives. Nor when I get done working my 70-80 hours per week do I go home to one of my multimillion dollar mansions. Go to the you tube channel....SHUT THE MUCK UP and watch the one about J P's Oscar speech. What would all you folks have all the Dairy Farmers do for a living that are already bearing eeking out a living. To each his own, but being a vegan or not is a personal choice, and those of use who don't choose to be one, don't need hollywood elitists telling us we are horrible people. They can go help the homeless, pick one up off skid row, help them rehab., so the cycle is broken.

People have to watch The Master! It’s a fantastic movie, that movie I think was one of his best work ever. Him and Hoffman were soooooo good. Amazing, watch it on Netflix guys trust me!
I agree, I saw it and was mesmerized! At least for me, it seems as a film which can and has to be watched multiple times as well in order to appreciate it completely ❤
In Gladiator Joaquin has the famous line "Am I not merciful?" which is said twice. Beautiful parallel with Russel Crowe's line "Are you not entertained?" which is also repeated. Just great symmetry.
I've looked pretty far down the comments and haven't seen any comments about the remarkable insight, intelligence and eloquence of Marion Cotillard, speaking in a second language no less. Her description of Joaquin is fascinating.
Hi Joana! I've just discovered this second vid about celebrities talking about Joaquin, and now I've seen there's "part three" also, which I'm gonna watch right away cause basically I can't help myself, I'm so "obsessed" (in a healthy way) with Joaquin's amazing talent as an actor, and I enjoy very much all the interviews and talk shows he's visited as a guest... cause since Joker I'm in a "Joaquin marathon", I've been watching some of his films I hadn't seen and all I can say he's one of the best actors of his generation, and THANK YOU very much for these vids that are gifts to me.... IT makes me so happy when I see other actors praising him and his work and holding him in high regard. Thank you again Joana!
Thank you for watching!!!! 💕💕💕 And, by the way, there's also part four - check it out! I knew him as an actor before "Joker" but was not aware of good he really is and how many wonderful films he has done 👌 Anyway, thank you once again for your support and your lovely words! 💓🌸 Sending you virtual a hug 😊❤
I was a big fan of River's, and when you were a fan of River's you knew his whole family by default of him raving about them his whole career in interviews. So I knew Leaf Phoenix, and showed up to see 'To Die For' in the theatre when Joaquin Phoenix made his debut- in a Gus Van Sant film, which was tragically exciting in itself if you were a River fan. Hugely respected him for his decades long keeping his private life close to his chest, his refusal to fold to or ride on the hype of his family name and be pulled into morbid lines of questioning relating to his brother. His quite dignity, hard graft and credible movie choices is no doubt part of the reason he spent so many years so underrated by mainstream movie goers, it was only a matter of time for him before he became as appreciated as he is now. A phenomenal body of work he's notched up with no airs and graces. A class act.
She's definitely beautiful, talented and smart. And great to work with, apparently. I saw an interview with James Gray, the director of "The Immigrant", in which he praised her as a professional and as a person 💗
I would love to find footage on what Philip Seymour Hoffman thought about him. Their dynamic together in The Master was amazing and award worthy. It seemed they had such an ability to bounce off one another flawlessly and so naturally.
You can find some of Philp's thoughts in my other video around the 6.37 min mark:) : ruclips.net/video/VrbbDltl3oA/видео.html And yes - Joaquin and Philip had a lot of respect for each other and it resulted in a flawless onscreen chemistry 💚
Mation Cotillard is so beautiful and an amazing actress she was so good in the movie "Allied" . Honestly the best actress of all time because of that movie.
Joaquin has the famous line "Am I not merciful?" which is said twice. Beautiful parallel with Russel Crowe's line "Are you not entertained?" which is also repeated. Just great symmetry.
Like Norm Macdonald is to comedians..... Joaquin Phoenix is to actors.... If you hate on him.... you'll expose something within yourself...that you don't want people to see.....and that....is pretty fck'n powerful
He's acting for two..I so get him. He is a lazer beam focused actor. He's almost perfect. I feel his flaws but they are so outwardly minute. The flaws only add commonality to his performances. I love him.
I was wating fucking 6 years for him to break out worldwide on such a level. Since Her (2013) he was one of my favorite actors and Her is still my favorite movie.
Is it normal for all these interviewers to ask their guests questions about the actors/actresses who they ACTUALLY wanted to interview? Lol....”Did you have any questions about me?”
It's a good question, but these are just the extracts of the actual interviews so I'm sure that all the actors spent far more time discussing their lives and their roles than it looks like here 😊 Also, usually the stars do pre-interviews, so they often know what they're going to be talking about already, thus the questions about other actors must have been welcomed by them 😊
De Niro always looks like he just wants to go home. I wouldn't be surprised if he snapped and just said "fuck this shit! Fuck this set! Fuck everybody! I'm going home" in the middle of an interview
It's weird, because he reminds me SO MUCH of my dad. 😂 Pretty sure they're the same age as well, same personality, crazy joker like attitude and hilarious. Yep.... Definitely like my dad.
Leigh Gill seems so nice ❤ and I love Joaquin so much he's an incredible actor and I love the fact that he supports animals rights and he's vegan it's awesome (idk if my english's correct sorry i'm french😅) nice video 💖

His quite dignity, hard graft and credible movie choices is no doubt part of the reason he spent so many years so underrated by mainstream movie goers, it was only a matter of time for him before he became as appreciated as he is now. A phenomenal body of work he's notched up with no airs and graces. A class act.
What a wonderful comment! Thank you ❤
I’m in love with Marion Cotillard. Her beautiful eyes and soft smile. Her accent and sweet personality. Incredible actress too. Ok that is all.
She's definitely beautiful, talented and smart. And great to work with, apparently. I saw an interview with James Gray, the director of "The Immigrant", in which he praised her as a professional and as a person 💗
Marion is so beautiful in a 50s Hollywood era type of way. A phenomenal actress.

I would love to find footage on what Philip Seymour Hoffman thought about him. Their dynamic together in The Master was amazing and award worthy. It seemed they had such an ability to bounce off one another flawlessly and so naturally.
You can find some of Philp's thoughts in my other video around the 6.37 min mark:) : ruclips.net/video/VrbbDltl3oA/видео.html
And yes - Joaquin and Philip had a lot of respect for each other and it resulted in a flawless onscreen chemistry 💚
Joaquin Phoenix is so talented!! Still upset that Joker didn't get Movie of the year!!! Joaquin did a amazing performance!!!
Yes, I really wanted "Joker" to win it too. But still happy with what it got ❤ Joaquin is amazing! 😊
After binge watching Joaquin Pheonix videos it's safe to say I have a man crush on the guy. Beautiful man.
😊🧡👍
Gwyneth Paltrow was right when she assumes he was doing a big performance on Lettermann.
She was! :)
Gwyneth Paltrow is extremely intelligent and beautiful! I am rarely star struck or idolize a human....but her omfg 😍
@@snailnslug3 Yes, she's impressive 😊
thank you so much for these videos, they are so amazing to watch. You're a godsend.
Aww 🥰🤩😘😍And thank you for watching!⚘🌼💐
Mation Cotillard is so beautiful and an amazing actress she was so good in the movie "Allied" . Honestly the best actress of all time because of that movie.
Haven't seen it, I guess I'll have to check it out then! :)
5:44 Wow! She described Joaquin very well!
I like her insights too! 😊
Daniel Day Lewis and Joaquin in one video? O GOD THANK YOU FOR THIS BLESSING
😊😊😊
Bradley looking like commissionaire Jim Gordon
😎👍
I was thinking Jeff Foxworthy 👨
He's looking like a stereotype of a movie producer
He must be loaded by now with Joker!
Remember stand by me
The main kid who died so young is his brother..
Yes, the lovely and very talented River 💔
RIP River Phoenix... You'll be forever missed...

Gweneth Paltrow is very smart. She caught his bluff
She did! :)
Who the fuck cares???
When someone asks me who’s my fave joker. 9:47
😊💚
Paltrow knew Joaquin wasn't gonna end his career too soon
She sensed it 😊👌
Zazie Beetz is a lucky girl to get a taste of him
😊❤😊
Gwyneth paltrow knew what was up! Women's intuition at its finest! Lol
Yes! 👍
Everyone in that movie knew that Commodus stole everyones spotlight
No doubt 😊🔥
The most shocking revelation? Gwyneth Paltrow could be right about anything. Even Letterman didn’t get it for a year and a half.
Gwyneth is hard to fool :)
He should have gotten an Oscar for gladiator
Couldn't agree more ❤ He made that film work!
Joaquin has the famous line "Am I not merciful?" which is said twice. Beautiful parallel with Russel Crowe's line "Are you not entertained?" which is also repeated. Just great symmetry.
@@brianmessemer2973 That's a very nice remark 👍❤
Joaquin is about the purest form of a man
😊💕💜
He’s loved truly loved I love him 😍

Thanks for this compilation. Well done! Also love how you reply almost all comments. Subscribed and keep up the good work.
Aww, thank you so much! 💕 Glad you enjoy the videos 😊
Like Norm Macdonald is to comedians..... Joaquin Phoenix is to actors....
If you hate on him.... you'll expose something within yourself...that you don't want people to see.....and that....is pretty fck'n powerful
Zazie beetz is very attractive isn't she?
I think she's very pretty 😊🌸
No she is hot
Johnny Cash is my personal idol and jaqs portral made me a life time fan

8:12, wow, Owen Wilson really dodged the question about him..
I noticed that too
Wow
What question?
@@iriscandy6377 7:55
He's acting for two..I so get him. He is a lazer beam focused actor. He's almost perfect. I feel his flaws but they are so outwardly minute. The flaws only add commonality to his performances. I love him.
Beautifully put ❤🌸
I saw him in Gladiator and he's very passionate.
🔥😊🔥
Joaquin is simply beautiful ! 🍍💛🧡💜❤💚💙
Yes!!!! ❤😊
Hope there's part 3
There is! ruclips.net/video/VrbbDltl3oA/видео.html 😊
When Daniel dey fucking Lewis sais you are a remarkable actor than my man you made it
Yass thank you!!
And thanks to you too!!!!💜😊💜
I heard he and De Niro had tension because Joaquin didn’t want to do a read through of the script and De Niro insisted on it.
Yes, I've read that too. But it seems that in the end they were able to come to an agreement 😊
I was wating fucking 6 years for him to break out worldwide on such a level. Since Her (2013) he was one of my favorite actors and Her is still my favorite movie.
Definitely one of my favourites too! What a great film! ❤
9:46 damn right, Heidi!!!😆
Yes! 😊
Wow even Hedi wanted him, dang he’s hot.
I am totally in love deeply with Joaquim.

"When he comes out in those clothes, he was Arthur Fleck."
Me: *sighs dreamily* Arthur Fleck...
❤🤡🔥😊
Just put Joaquin and johnny Depp in a movie bro it would be hit as fucc
@ 3:46 in " I knew because I used to listen to them (NWA) in High school" Gwen, you ol closet hip hop head! hehehehe

It's weird, because he reminds me SO MUCH of my dad. 😂 Pretty sure they're the same age as well, same personality, crazy joker like attitude and hilarious. Yep.... Definitely like my dad.
I love the relationship John c really and Joaquin must have
Great compilation thx
Thank you for watching 😊❤
YOwZa!. This dude's got AAALLLLL the LAdIes!!!! Wow. You go, Joaquin
😄👍🔥❤
Why is that actor surprised that he literally punched the clock? Did Joaquin go off the script? That would be amazing!
It was improvised by Joaquin, nobody knew he was going to do it :)
Wow!!!!! I didn’t think I could love an actor this much!
@@2tart Yes! He's great! ❤
Leigh Gill seems so nice ❤ and I love Joaquin so much he's an incredible actor and I love the fact that he supports animals rights and he's vegan it's awesome (idk if my english's correct sorry i'm french😅) nice video 💖
It's totally fine! Your English is perfect to me (it's not my mother tongue as well) :) Yes, Gill appears to be a very warm person, and about Joaquin - what can I add? You've said it perfectly 💐 Thank you for watching and best wishes to France! 💗
man now i get why so many actors get awkward or cringe when talking of Joaquin, its because every interviewer ask of him no matter the movie or celebrity class, almost all of them are like am i a joke to you
Robrer made Jimmy laugh at 10.29 but jimmy suddenly decided changing his reaction when camera returned on him.
Maybe because he realised that he and everyone else are hearing a spoiler 😊
I'm watching 'Beau' now. Lol just saw his giant 'ball' ! lol I had to look online for commentary but might be a spoiler so I stoppeed. But he has me RIVETED in this film. Back to it ! :)
Bradley Cooper with that director stache

Before Joker: Who Joaquin Phoenix?
After Joker: Joaquin Phoenix is one of my favourite actors! I've seen all his movies! Aw he's so funny! I've always been a massive fan!
I actually knew him before "Joker" :) And anyway, is it bad? I think it's great that people discover him and his talent maybe later than never 😊
Well. I guess everyone who likes films more than the average Marvel/DC fan knew Joaquin very well.
@@danielmagalhaes2166 I knew him from signs and that's it. I'm no marvel dc fan
