Changing the Headlight bulbs in your 2004-2008 F150 Pickup Truck is very simple and will take about 10 mins. All that is involved is Removing one plastic trim tab and 3 bolts takes about 10 mins.

What is the bulb size needed? i did a little research but i keep coming up on 2-3 diff bulbs sizes.
you cant see iin the video but do you know what the little ceramic piece isa just below the drivers side headlight the only answer i got was a solenoid
completely new about lights, are the small bottom ones for low beam and the big one for hi beam?

+cory8791 no they've been great and everybody I knows likes them. They aren't made for hardcore use so if that's what your main objective is i'd recommend something with a thicker sidewall

Only Ford would engineer a vehicle where you had to remove the entire headlight housing just to change a bulb. Smh

You can do it without removal if you manuever light right. I juzt did it.
I'm an optical engineer for a tier 1 automotive lighting supplier. Every company does this. The F150 in this video is by far one of the easiest swaps you'll encounter on a remotely new vehicle. 3 bolts is the bare minimum as far as mounting hardware goes. It's actually the optimum number as the system is then totally constrained. Any additional would over-constrain the system and introduce it's own set of problems.
As companies strive to cut weight and engine bays get more crowded by the year, this condition is simply a mainstay. Cars/trucks are now typically designed with a focus on the LED versions of the headlamps, in which case there are no maintenance options for the consumer. The bulb versions are usually there to cut some costs to keep lower trim levels more affordable to the consumer. Remodeling the vehicles framing for those cases would eat up all of those cost savings and then some.

Yeah this is comment is way off. Like Paul Hawks said, all makes do this. I’ve swapped bulbs in many different makes, foreign and domestic, and the F150 is one of the easiest.

This is a cakewalk compared to most new lamps. Small cars in particular. Look up a video for replacing bulbs on a Ford Focus. You have to remove entire portions of front fascia to get at the lamps.
