Shook hands with the gentleman twice after his shows. I have one show in Seattle posted. The quality ain't great but he did a solo show and seldom did exact replays of the songs.
OH MY GOD MAN THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING! John martyn is my favorite musician of all time! He has helped me through so many tough times. Thanks for posting!
This is the first time I've heard this song and I love it! I listened to the album version but I definitely prefer it with just guitar. This channel just keeps on giving, amazing upload!
This is amazing, what a vibe! i love John. The song from Ian Mccallum is also beautiful, do you have the name to search the studio version? Thanks for the videos, from Argentina.
Upset. Tragic self destructive musical pioneer and literal genius... Saw him on his Grace n Danger tour in Brum, wheeled on in a wheelchair with one fukin leg, and loaded with Scottish whiskey....no idea what he was saying between songs as he'd gone " full glaswegian " by then.... Amazing performance. 6 months later, this sick sad world lost a master musician. Miss you John....

On 4 February 2008, Martyn received the lifetime achievement award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. The award was presented by his friend Phil Collins.
