I remember first seeing these cartoons in poor quality on Netflix. But even then the fun and irreverence of the cartoons still shined through. It will be a real joy to see them restored. Thunderberbean restorations never disappoint.
Good work, Steve and Thunderbean Animation! I was among the lucky group of animation buffs who attended an informative lecture Leslie gave about her grandfather when her "Man Behind The Mouse" documentary was first released.
Beautiful work. I'm sure that every second of the time it took to produce this was completely worth it. I could not congratulate you enough for all the labor you put into this. These restorations are making history.
One of my best friends called me Flip, because we trained Taekwondo & Hapkido to Black belt both. And i did such a good kick "Chagi" in Korean lanugage. I did FlipChagi So So good according to him. But i can´t tell everything it´s a internal joke between him & me! But i LOVE Flip The Frog ❤🙏 Liam Stockholm, Sweden
It occurred to me - why a frog? Because Ub Iwerks wanted to start with a bang, and a cartoon in color would certainly get noticed. But since he only had red-green two strip color available, better come up with a character who's green - Aha! a frog! Ironically, the first Flip would be the only one in color, after that Flip would have to settle for shades of gray.
Neat! And I hope the next project will be the restoration of the Willie Whopper cartoons, with the censored material edited back in... That is IF it still exists.
@@FuriousMan226 Yes, but there were scenes missing from those cartoons. What happened to them, and are they any complete prints floating around anywhere?
Great to see Tiny Felix was helping out with the restoration
