Guillermo Del Toro is a LIVING LEGEND, his obsession with dark tones and insects, and magic always brings out a dark tale which fits right with mature audiences, one of the best directors in the industry
the world was robbed not having this man direct The Hobbit movie
And the continuety of hell boy😭
Or the Halo and Bioshock projects that were rumored.
Or the At the Mountains of Madness adaptation that he wanted to make.
His sensibilities might be a bit too dark for the Hobbit. Which is a children’s book
@@TheTabaK23 Nonsense. Hellboy was essentially a children's fairytale. Kids can take a little bit of darkness.
It would have been so amazing 😭
"Perfection has no place in love" how many understand this
“Love should not demand transformation, it should demand acceptance.” Guillermo Del Toro
Pan's Labyrinth was and still is, one of the best mythical movies ever made. It definately stands in my top 3 movies of all time.
wich movies are the other 2?
@@MTGnEWbie420
1. Donnie Darko
2. Interstellar
Agreed
Hell no lol
@@hattorihanzo1329wow those 3 movies you said are 3 of my all time favourite movies too
"The killing of the two kids and dog is nice." A quote out of context will never go over well at dinner parties.
If a Bioshock movie is ever greenlit, this man would be my choice for Director.
He actually worked on a Bioshock movie for many years, but, unfortunately, it was cancelled.
He would be my choice for a big daddy
You’ve piqued my interest
Makes perfect sense
Dark Souls? Miyazaki would definitely have to be involved but…
By listening to him you can just tell how much he truly loves movies
Pan's labyrinth is my favorite movie of all time, I've watched it countless times and it never ceases to amaze me. The characters, the details, everything
Same. It’s spiritual predecessor ‘The Devils Backbone’ is in my top 10 films of all time as well.
Love his movies, way different and out the box than others.
LOVE Del Toro. A shame we didn’t get his collaboration with Kojima on Silent Hills.
Quite possibly my favorite director, definitely my favorite visual storyteller.
His Hellboy movies have definitely influenced the feel and humor of modern superhero movies. Along with Sam Raimi, of course.
Yes, 100% MCU owes this man a debt.
Buy his films and listen to all his commentary, they never let you down. He is so naturally funny!
When Guillermo del Toro dies, the world will lose one of its greatest artists. This man is so creative that everything he makes is beautiful
He needs his very own museum
I'm hoping he's an immortal

Is always a pleasure when a true maste of cinema reveals how he/she percives their own work. Thank you Guillermo!
Pan's Labyrinth is a masterpiece of the highest order. For him to have created that so early in his career is all we need to know to confirm he is a special guy.
Can we have the uncut version? I’m sure there’s an hour of content edited out. He loves to talk!
Pacific Rim was such an amazing experience.
He speaks very elegantly.
Pan's labyrinth gives me studio Ghibli movies kinda vibes for some reason
Please Please have Guillermo Direct a 2nd Pacific Rim . He truly "gets it" , what makes Giant Mecha so special.
Guillermop del Toro, uno de mi mayores inspiraciones en mis dibujos sus trabajos siempre seran una leyenda.
A damn shame he didn't directed Pacfic Rim 2
Hopefully he comes back to make the 3rd one. Which should be a prequel to first one.
@@JV-ll1cu hopefully they do like the second one never happened
It's over... the second movie was so bad that now no one wants to watch a 3rd one. They ruined this franchise.
@@LordSevla Tbf it's hard to say it's completely given up on considering there's still the animated show based on the movies
He is among several of my favorite movie directors, in addition to Tim Burton, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, and Ridley Scott.
This guy knows how to make movies
Huge fan of this man's work. Great video.
Crimson peak is underrated, it is gothic art perfection.
His ability to unapologetically compliment his own work is surprisingly refreshing.
He’s a really beautiful thinker
Never knew he did Mimic. Haven't seen that movie since it came out, but I've always remembered it. Definitely due for a rewatch now.
Mimic is awesome👍
"the love of monstrosity and the monstrosity of love"
His movies are always fun to watch 🍿
How cool would a G del toro fallout series be? Reunite the man with Perlman and watch them create an instant classic
Him or Blomkamp
this guy would be the perfect director for some dark souls / bloodborne movie
seems such a nice guy
Never forget we could have gotten P.T by this man 😭
Old masters painting technique 📽️🎥📽️ Love this 💗🔥

What an incredible, intelligent engaging person..Wisdom most people never accomplish.
Hellboy was a masterpiece
The precursors is humans thousands of years in the future. Guillermo Del Toro thank you for all that you made for us.🙏
Del Toro, tesoro nacional mexicano.
One Of My Favourite Directors!
He should be a new director for hellraiser and bring back the original actors.
Interesting
@@vicwiffin9895 or could of become the director for hellraiser origins
There are so many projects he would be great at…👍
Guillermo is a film master.
Watch The Devil's Backbone if you haven't already. It's up there along with Pan's Labyrinth. Which is my favorite of all his films. His films are simply magical.
all his movies are awesome! personal favs: devil's backbone and pan's labyrinth ❤
Thank you for your films
Well done
a true joy to hear the love with which he speaks of pacific rim; it's one of my favorite movies ever. forever upset that we were robbed of a sequel with him at the helm
Guillermo del toro is my hero

Te amo Del Toro!
Looks amazing.

pans labyrinth was an amazing film. The best mythical standalone film for me.
Del Toro is a true artist.
Pans labyrinth shoud be a Netflix serie that would be awesome
What a guy!!!
He is the greatest gift in the 21st Century. We shall forever LOVE him and, protect him ... AT All COSTS! xx
He is truly a germ and genius film maker in this century💕👏👏
when is the home release date for this one?
Pan's Labyrinth is in my opinion his masterwork.
They should let him do "At the mountains of madness".
Pan’s labyrinth humming is just amazing.
Can anyone tell me the name of the music at the start of this video?
Un chingón
Is it just me or does Del Toro look like an old Elijah Wood? Especially when he smiles.
Crimson Peak is my mom's favorite movie😅 so underrated
Most talented movie maker in the world
pans labyrinth es una de las películas geniales hasta el sonido todo muy hermosa película
for some people the munsters are the most terrify and nightmares thing , but this man make the munster like a fairy tales,
he is a genius
Pacific Rim is my fave Del Toro movie!!! For me it's perfect. Maybe it's a little too short. Would have loved to see the Asian Mech a lil more. Then Pans Labyrinth
fascinating
So you’re saying you interviewed Del Toro without ever bringing up PT?
Book of life :)
We can’t wait for hellboy 3
It is a crime that there isn't a third Hellboy from his series
dammit, he wanted to direct the Pacific Rim sequel? Why didn't they?
❤️
“The killing of the two kids was really nice”. 😂
10:02 is what we’re all here for
pacific rim 2 couldve been an amazing movie.
Would love to see him do a take on a story or movie around Salvador Dali. Maybe even take it further and take it gothic or possibly show the unconscious mind.
The Devil's Backbone is a masterpiece!! Goes together with Pan's Laberynth, another masterpiece.
he's beautiful outside dark inside.
I'm sorry?
WE WANT MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS
Cant wait for his twisted looking Pinocchio!
Del Taco
Clearly Ron Perlman is his muse.
Now break down all the movies he was going to make but tragically didn't see them produced.

GOAT
This legend should direct one of the new Alien films. Would like to see what he can do with it.
