So happy to publish the last of the Chopin Etudes tutorials! (I obviously didn't record these in order haha). We have now covered all of the Op.10 and Op.25 etudes in ProPractice. I originally started ProPractice in 2014, and it continues to be a project I'm very passionate about. Thank you for your years of support and friendship. For those of you thinking "Wait! Those aren't all of Chopin's Etudes...what about the 3 Nouvelles Etudes, Op. Posth.?" I do plan to record those at some point in the future as well :)
I like this etude
I watch a tons of performances of great pianists but your interpretation is always my favorite for almost every piece. Really delicate and beautiful. I agree with your interpretations on so many levels. Thank you so much for the videos. You make me love classical music and playing piano even more!
Gonna give this a good watch, but just after seeing the first few minutes gotta say - very good sound quality, the piano sounds absolutely lovely and your voice is clear and sounds good! :)
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it
Whow Josh, I love the new sound quality! No more need to turn up the volume when watching your videos! Great investment!! Content great & helpful as ever - many thanks to you from Hamburg, Germany!
Great video quality, great sound quality, great advice and looking really pro
Thank you!
Love the overhead cam on the fingers. Would love it in every video that gets uploaded if possible. Always nice to see what's going on.
Love your videos!!! I don’t miss one, but it would be helpful to have the score on the top right part of the video to follow the music.
The delicate expression is incredible. You are the best!!👍 👍 👍 I'm watching from Korea. Please keep posting great videos
I believe this Taubman approach which I’d like to learn makes us rethink the ways we play Chopin etudes, even difficult ones like Op.10 No.2
Thanks so much 🤗
Great video josh! Sound quality is phenomenal!!!!!!!!
Hey Josh, do you think you could make a propractice on Rachmaninoff's moments musicaux op. 16 no. 4 E-minor
Good Technical exercises to apply to the octave work in the fantasie impromptu as well
Beautiful i follow you explanation is good
thanks Johny!
I love it! Thank you. ❤ Do you mind to teach us La Campanella? I am currently learning this piece of repertoire.
I have a full ProPractice video available on that piece :)
@@joshwrightpiano Oh wow! I am watching it right now. Super excited to continue my learning this weekend. Thank you Josh! 💋
Would you please give me some recommendations on how to play the E Major section in the left hand? It is very difficult and I am curious as to how I can improve my technique in that area.
Such a great lesson!!!
Can you do a video on blumenlied?
Damn that's really good quality
How do the left and right hands fit together???
Love you video can you please do a video on Chopin prelude in bflat minor op28 no16.
8:43 damn those thirds must’ve be a nightmare for you
Haha they are. I can do them just fine with an inverted fingering (42-15) but with the straight fingering (13-24, or 13-25) they have been one of my biggest challenges as a pianist. Ascending or descending thirds aren't too difficult for me, but thirds trills....they have been my nemesis.
Thank you....
Why Josh Wright can’t get in the 1st round in the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2015?
Is thisa an "easier" etude to learn first? I am considering the Op 25 no.2 in a flat because it is shorter!
a flat?
@@piano8222 the key of A flat major has 4 flats.
@@breezybird403 no actually it’s in F minor which has 4 flats as well
Make vidéo synthesia
haha this is one of my least fave etudes as well
Haha it's definitely growing on me as I've been revisiting it
@@joshwrightpiano I always skipped this one while listening to Pollini's etudes CD
:)
