  • In this video I review the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e printer, shows how it scans and compatibility with Chromebooks (i.e. ChromeOS). This is a cheap office or home office printer, with dual sided scanning, dual sided printing and fax.

I just ordered / subscribed to the HP+ Program, where they auto send me ink when LOW, on a 2 year plan at $16.99 month. For my small home business, using Chromebooks

I didn't even know there was a printer that would do each side of a double sided print simultaneously!
My wife fairly recently changed from a Canon to HP. I was donated the Canon because it stopped working so I stripped it down, found the blockage, cleaned and fixed it, now I get to use it to print my music sheets out, yay. 👍
Edit: you sure it's not a "clunk click"? 🤣sorry just realised that evokes the odious Jimmy Saville but I couldn't resist the vehicular connection...
I found that all the gear wheels in the Canon were a hard plastic on plastic toothed runner strips and it's them that make the horrible noise. Might be a similar thing making the racket in the HP...? It does sound like something is going to break, I know!
Very informative, even though I wouldn't have known any different about the two sided printing yours does seem to go about it in a long winded fashion. The old Canon 5520 I'm using (it's not an industrial sized office one) just runs it through one side, quick pause and back in printing the other side as it goes back up and over. No idea about what techie stuff it might do though, that's a foreign language to me I just took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together again. If I want it to do something complicated like work from my phone I have to ask the wife to set it all up!
    Cheers Matt, algorithm fed.👍

Simultaneous double sided scanning is common on "business" class machines. I thought this HP "Pro" was going to be the same. I was wrong.

@@GoGreenAutos well thank you Matt, that's something else I've learnt from you... I shall have to make sure my wife knows too. 👍

@@GoGreenAutos The 9020 / 9022 had double sided scanning in one go. But sadly the second scan line produces streched rows, so I have to return it.

@@fawkesmorque I wish I knew that. I did look at these, but the specs weren't clear as to what the difference were between them all. I'm not impressed with this HP machine. I wish I'd spent more and got something decent! I never have liked HP stuff (from my decades in IT) and I should have learned!
