The cast joke is basically this - in the UK if you break your arm and get it in a sling while it heals, it's called a "cast" but cast also refers to the cast of a performance ie the actors, so he's suggesting his gay friend was fisting the entire cast of a musical. And there goes all the humour in that joke. Also Joseph and the technicolour dreamcoat is a musical.

No its Joseph and his Technicolour dream coat. The flag of LGTVOLED+ people resemble those colours. Thats the joke. No one in the story is gay or bi etc.

I watched both reactions to Gary Delaney, and watching the Queens reaction was priceless. You could see the internal turmoil as she wanted to laugh but another part of her brain said "NO" Queen Boomer should just relax and laugh!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He performed in my town once on the same bill as Milton Jones. It was a brilliant night of groans!! Also, I've got a British TV show recommendation for you (if you can find it). Its a show called Taskmaster. Every week 5 comedians (or comedy actors in some cases) are set a series of bizarre tasks to complete. It is seriously funny and my favourite show on TV over here right now.
I come back to this from time to time to relive the Queen's reactions.
Queen Boomer is definitely warming to British humour. Her reaction is what you would like your response to be but unfortunately Brits watching take it as intended (I.e. comedy), however, the Queen trying to work out what it means, gets the understanding before the joke lol. Jimmy Carr explains reactions to his joked very well.
If you're as old as me, at high school in the 70's these jokes were all told then. They were designed to shock, they were simple called "sick jokes".
Thank you sooooooooooo much for doing this. Even happier the Queen got some good laughs. & the PERFECT joke for her to break on. That alone had me having to pause I was laughing so hard
Typical English humour ...... wicked plays on words. My Down's Syndrome brother died last year during the Covid pandemic. I still laughed at the joke about driving over the Downs. The South Downs are an area of outstanding beauty in Sussex. It's just a joke a play on words and it's not aimed at insulting or hurting Down's Syndrome people. We are so very over-protective of everyone's sensibilities nowadays which i think is wrong. I am not prepared to be upset or outraged on someone else's behalf. We need edgy comedy to let off that pressure valve. Most comedy today that is woke-acceptable is simply unfunny anti-white or anti-tradititional western values and crudely so.

Gary is one of the very few comics that can laugh at his own jokes and not sound like pretentious tw$t. Absolute brutality at its very best, the UK does it like no one else..
The one liner that made me really lose it went like this, “My girlfriend often smokes after sex, so we’ve started using lubricant”. That was one of Jimmy Carr’s btw.
Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat is a play in theatres in the UK, the coat looks like a big pride flag and cast is a pun (plaster cast/cast of a show).

This kind of humour is the antidote for wokism and for people who are easily offended. We have to think if we laugh it is more to do with the play on words,the telling,the timing or possibly the shock value but it isn’t because to laugh means you are a bad person who in anyway agrees with the subject of the joke. It gets you through rough times and relieves pressure of sadness.
Humour (dark, in this case) is a sword, a shield, and a medicine for all of us at different times.
As long as comedy doesn't actively attack somebody, it is a vital part of society. And it should be protected vehemently, along with freedom of speech.
