I've run Miller 252's,they are nice running machines.I personally own a Lincoln 350MP and the damn thing is a tank! I bought a 260 a couple months ago, used ex-rental unit.Put well over a hundred pounds of .035 through it and love it. Transformer based machines are the best!
Truly appreciate an unbiased search/review myself! Loved the video! I have owned larger blue and a tiny red personally in the past but with what I'am finding with new gear I am just trying to find the right brand for me. Keeping my post neutral and not listing manufactures or models. Have to do ones homework for sure.
Welcome aboard!!! I like Miller also but i don`t like how the 255 is an inverter machine and the cart was another 400 bucks...I feel it should be built to the same standards as the Millermatic 252,,,My last machine was a Lincoln and i had it almost 20 years we sold it for more than i paid for it....This is going to be a gamble
Smaller machines usually have a lower duity cycle and get overworked. I have heard good things about the Lincoln. But anything you buy that is production made can have a batch of bad runs.
Those two machines compared are not in the same class. The Millermatic 255 is a pluse MIG machine, while the Lincoln 260 is a standard MIG machine. Fortunately or unfortunately, old gives way to new. Inverters are here to stay, you'll see fewer transformers being made everyday until one day they'll go completely extinct.

Getting up late is a problem I face regularly. It's actually kind of nice to hear I'm not the only one. I hope you found the best welder you could!

@@homotorsports The 252 is a great machine , I wish I had of bought that one. I have the 212 which is the model down. Works good for me though.
Does the Lincoln 260 have MIG Pulse, which typically provides a better weld?
Apart from being cheaper what would you say are the main advantages of the Lincoln 260?
If any?
which is a better machine inverta or transformer ?
Well Said.
