Wow!!! This is so deep. I´m currently reading the Bhagavatam after having read other Vedic books on the activities of Lord Krishna, and it is the most awe inspiring piece of literature I´ve ever read. I have no problem in believing and grasp the meaning of it all. The big difficulty is letting go of our materialistic way of living, being caught up in Maya. Imagine how it would affect my work if I think of Krishna all the time. I would get sacked right away for making too many mistakes because my attention is solely focused on krishna. That´s why it´s a consolation to know that just hearing/reading about the supreme personality is a guarantee that one is bound to be reincarnated in a human form and not risk ending up being an animal, vegetable or rock.
Thank you for explaining things so clearly. Praise Krishna.

In Bhagbad Geeta, god never told to leave everyday work. The whole Bhagbad Geeta is to bring back Arjun from illusion to perform his duties. Everybody has their duty and by one performing duties preciously one can attend moksha.

Remembering God doesn't mean that we have to memorize him or his name every time
Just whenever you do work have the attitude of "I am doing this for god" when you eat think "I am feeding god" etc
Hinduism is not about radically changing your life to become more spiritual it is about changing your attitude towards Life
The whole gita is about this only

    • @caleb4772
      @caleb4772 2 года назад +4

That's really sad. I also come from a Christian tradition and I see all of the states in this video as how we are to love and be loved by Jesus. As close friends - Christians are co-heirs with Christ, and can also enjoy Him as the disciples did. As a lover - we are the "bridegroom" of Christ. As parents/family - Jesus said of His followers "these are my mother and brothers." As servants - Christ should certainly be our master and our governor, and we should delight in respecting and serving Him. There is certainly an element of "fear God" in the Bible, but that is out of acknowledgement of His supreme power and holiness, a kind of respect that can still exist within the context of a healthy, loving relationship with the all-powerful. It sounds like your principal has accidentally subscribed to an idea of God that mirrors his own character rather than the Bible. Christian authority figures unfortunately do that a lot, don't make the mistake of judging our perfect God off the ideas of faulty Christians. I made that mistake and it is by God's grace I have recently returned to Him.

@Hᴜꜱᴛʟᴇ Lᴏʏ I am from the UK but of African descent.
I began meditation last year and the most wonderful ideas and experiences resulted from it. Not only was it beneficial for controlling the mind but other particular experiences resulted also.
I came to find that many of the "truths" from meditation are also found in Vedanta, with some phrases being the exact same.
I happened by chance onto the Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda and Raja, Karma and other works of Swami Vivekananda which hugely influential to me.
I also like how Hinduism is pluralistic in its approach to God. It is all-encompassing in allowing even those who do not believe in God to reach enlightenment. The Abrahamic religions declare only a single path through one of the prophets and this was a huge issue for me when attending church.
I do not consider myself Hindu since the ritual and mantra chanting aspects of it do not resonate nor appeal to me, but the scientific approach for truth and experiential methods proposed by the Yogis are what I am forever grateful for. They have changed my life!
      Sorry for the rant 😊🙏✌

Wow! This video has got me shook!
I’m a born and raised Christian.
The way you describe having a loving relationship with God is almost exactly the same as I have been taught nearly all my life!
I was taught that if I completely surrender to God, that it could be like a romantic relationship...He would fill up that romantic void in my life (at least until I get married); but I was also taught that He was not just a lover but other relationships too (a friend, our Lord, or Savior, our Judge, etc.)
Our beliefs about God-relationships are so similar...now, I’m starting to wonder: who got these beliefs from who? Did we Christians copy Hindu beliefs? Could we both have collected these beliefs from something else??
I have a lot to think about...

@@purabi123 you fool do you know the period bible was written, more than 2000BC, even dead sea scrolls (written text a strong archeological proof) found at kumran caves revealed that they are from 2000BC, even those Dead sea scrolls are a copy of copies. Do you know the early text of your language sanskrit, not even before 1800 ie AD. Can you prove there is a sanskrit text before 1800AD, You Show me one text, one archeological proof if you can, Even Harappa and Mohenjadaro ruins did not have sanskrit, which proves the sanskrit as Indo-aryan language (do not dare narrate stories saying "our language is orally transmitted") .
-Indus valley civilisation did not follow any religion and any language-only a coin was found in which a person
is sitting with folded lap and a bull and cow on either side fools like you call that pasupathi who is siva-
which is absolutely refuted at the start itself.
-Indo-aryan period is starting from 1500BC (it does not even mean the language is from 1500 BC, that is the
period when the migrations were started, but aryan did not come in single batch but in multiple batches. Rigveda is the ancient of vedas, claimed by hindus that it was written 1500BC but no single archeological proof was available. If rigveda itself is ancient of vedas sama, yajur, atharvana were written when your great grandfather is still playing in your great great grandmother lap).

    • @kamnar362
      @kamnar362 5 лет назад +1

@Hᴜꜱᴛʟᴇ Lᴏʏ The above said everything by you is told by some one to you, i know the teachings of Iskon, which are exactly what you said. You said that there is no heaven and hell, but according to vedas it was clearly written Heaven and hell are existing, you find out what is right and what is wrong. It is very easy to prove that you are misled by false beliefs. Rather than making sweeping statements, try to explain with rational. If the teachings of the jesus are childish stories, then what would be the reason behind the people believing the same, don't tell me that iskon people are only smart persons to believe the teachings of jesus are childish..If christians are believing childish stories, then bhagavat geeta is a lullaby to a 2 year old, because those stories are more childish, funnier and hilarious..
Jesus does not need enlightenment, that is why at temple pharisees and sadducees are surprised at his questions when he is 6 years old,. Your created, crafted and fabricated gods needs enlightenment not Jesus.

Please note. This video is mostly of Vaishnava view and specifically possible ISKCON focusing on Bhakti Marg as per Dvaita philosophy. it doesn’t cover the additional wider philosophies and sampradays. Such as Shaivite, Shakta and also Advaita, Vashishtadvaite views. Also the views of Nirakar, Nirguna panths or sampradays such as Sant Math, Kabir Panth, Arya Samaj etc.
Good video but it must be stressed it is based on one (though major) of the many views within Sanatan Dharma.

Ive been watching your vids for a long time now, and I have to say, you made some very insightful info on the concept of God, which is something I've been wanting to get back on for a long time. While I may not agree on one of your vids (Which is not important) but I do have one request if possible, and that is doing a vid on Buddhism and how it has a connection to Hinduism, and perhaps having a better understanding of the Divine. I ask this, because Im trying to get back with Buddhism, but I have an attraction towards Hinduism, and felt like they are two sides of one coin. If you get this, that'll be cool to see. God bless and hope to see more vids

Muslim scholars disagree about the nature of hell. Many (most?) believe that hell is not for eternity, but that everyone will eventually be free of sin after some time and go to heaven.
Some scholars argue, based on statements from islamic philosophers, that hell is for eternity, though. But the topic is not clear-cut.

Very interesting and impressive explanation of how Kama is used to approach God Almighty. The spiritual discourse and examples from Ithihasa and purana seem very relevant and thought provoking.
However, my humble opinion for using Kama to attain Mukthi or Motcham is pretty dangerous. One will end up in Kamasutra and it is evident in many temples Kamasutra is exhibited with man and women in compromising positions.
I believe that the original intention was noble but sadly ended up in lust and sexual pervasive experiments.
