Thank you for showing so much detail! I just bought this module and now I know how and how not to use it. This has been very helpful and very confidence inspiring for this unit.
Hello. Thanks for the video. I recommend the xys3606 or xyh3606 buck-boost module with its very practical remote control, these 2 modules (216W) do not heat up like the xys3580 (80W) which gets very hot with use.
Hi My friend, Again well explained as always - and you made me order one right away! I was looking for something like this for a very long time. Keep it up - videos are well performed. Thank you
I have two of these. Both of them had no thermal paste on the components under the heatsink. First one died when trying to power some LEDs. I just use the 2nd one for small projects and won't attempt my LEDs again with this unit.
Очень детально, отличное видео. Эффективность преобразования модуля низкая, для системы на солнечных батареях подходит очень плохо... Спасибо за очень детальный обзор, все бы так делали...

I bought one recently it has slightly different settings menu with a few more options. As usual it is a mystery as to the exact functions. - Voltage/current/power/set colors. - Baud rate per memory slot. It makes me wonder this has serial port logging. - An icon with the letter O. Selecting this brings up a dialog that says "Clear". Turn the dial to select Yes / No. - An icon with the letter R. Selecting this brings up a dialog that says "Reset". Turn the dial to select Yes / No. I'm uncertain the difference between these reset and clear functions. - The very last is mystery symbol with ON / OFF setting. No clue what this does.
I think I have the same one as you do, since my settings menu is also slightly different to the video. If that is the case, the very last symbol in the settings menu is for the flash screen when it is first turned on. Mine shows a "Sinilink" logo.
I bought a similar power module (XYH3606) and it won't turn on (the module heats up with power supplied but it cannot turn on). I wonder if it is due to faulty MOSFETs, but I don't know since it they don't have any numbers.
when lvp its trigers on, and output goes off, if the voltage its getting up turn the the dive on or need to press the button? Ex: battery volt drops at 12.2 -> lvp 12.2 device goes off, solar start charging the battery and volts of battery goin 12.3v, is this device starts the output or stays off?
How do you calibrate the voltage readout to be more accurate? My voltmeter says it outputs 4.8v when the display on the supply says 5v. Is there a way to offset or calibrate the displayed voltage? I can't find this calibration in the video, so is it even present in this unit? Thanks
I bought a XYS3606 from AliExpress but it went wrong on first test. I removed all MOSFET under the heatsink and tested them and 2 doesn't work. Without those MOSFETs I can turn it on. All of them are unmarked, so I don't know what need to replace them. Any idea how can I get the model number for these MOSFETs?
that's correct. when you set it to for exampkle 9V, it is contstant voltage (CV). then if you set it to 1.5A Constant Current (CC), and use it, it will keep the current up to 1.5A constant. so if your load needs 500mA or 1200mA it the CC light will not turn ON. but if you reach 1.5A the CC will turn ON and protect your load and will not allow more than 1.5A.
Apparently if u hook up a large dc motor or connect a large inductive load it will blow up. If you drive reverse current from an external supply it will also blow it up, If you hook up a battery for charging and switch of the power input the back flow from bat can burn the PCB according to one seller..They provide a diode to use in series with output crazy..
I have a battery with a voltage of 3.9v, I set the current to 4.2v, I set the current to 1 ampere and the charging result is constant cv 4.2v and the current is charging to 0.050a, why? I have a 12v 5A power source, it's not a functional current setting at all.
I've got one of these, but I keep getting an OEP error when I power it on. I can't find my manual and haven't been able to find it online either. Do you know what the OEP error is?
Great video lots of details, I have this with the extra 4 pins for Bluetooth but it did not come with that part. Do you know what the extra setting is for under the color settings (001--115200) ???
and then I found this on another product page.... 🤣 "Baud Rate Selection The baud rate you select in the software must match the baud rate of the data logger serial port. For example, CR200-series dataloggers and CR10X dataloggers are always 9600 baud. CR1000 and similar data loggers can handle baud rates up to 115200. The CR1000 defaults to a baud rate of -115200, which means 115200 with autobaud enabled. The autobaud option tries to adjust the baud rate automatically to match the PC. Although autobaud is reliable at adjusting down the baud rate, it does have trouble adjusting up from 9600 to 115200. So, if someone else connects to your CR1000 at 9600 baud, you may have trouble connecting at 115200. After you successfully connect, you can change the baud rate setting for the serial port on the data logger."
When I connect the buck boost to my bench power supply, at 30v input and 1amp, I then set the buck boost to 36.50v and 3.2 amps output as per your video I only seem to get 1.83 watt of output power. Can you tell me if I am doing something wrong?? Thanks.
Do you have a recommendation for the connection of common grounding for this? I tried connecting my esp32 ground to the output ground of xys3580 and toasted my esp32, should I even connect the ground of xys3580 at all to my esp32?
Hi can you show clearly how to connect this item to a DC power bench supply ? And how to set constant current on it pls? Because it's not clear on how to do it .thank you

Did you figure out how to calibrate it? Mine is giving lower actual reading voltage than the configured in the device. i.e. at 5.00 volts it supply 4.978v at 50.00 volts it supply 49.78v. Do you think it is acceptable?
the source never matters. you can power it up from 4 AAA battery. The important part is what you want to get from the output. The power is important Voltage(V) X Current (A)=Power(W). Absolute it will work.
@@WattHour What happens is that I read in the product specifications and it said that the maximum input amperage was 9 Amps, and the ATX computer power supply delivers 15 Amps, that's why I don't know if I can support it.
Hello, everyone. The input power is 12V, Low Voltage (LVP) appears on the LCD window, and after 10 seconds, LOCK appears. Please tell me how to release it
When we say the output can be from 0 to 35V and hen yes it can charge 12V battery. But gotta understand if you want to charge lead acid battery, the charger should be set to something like 13.8V but check manufacturer charge voltage. Then if your battery has capacity like 100Ah ÷5A=20h so it will charge it in 20 hours. As this device can supply 5A maximum.
