So does no one get this video?!(trigger warning ahead) Everones like 'good job ducks!' yeah in this case it is violent sexuality what it felt. The second mallard wasn't loyal or concerned about his fellow rapist. It was horny and got even hornier seeing the goose being busy drowning his buddy. When the goose tried to drown the other Mallard the second Mallard tried to fuck the goose. Its not that deep, but pretty dark...
It took me a second to understand. The duck being drowned was in a duo and they were trying to sexually assault the mother duck when the goose intervened and attempted to drown one of the would be rapist drakes. Idk if the goose made that connection and judgement through intellect or if it was just dumb luck and trying to kill the duck for something else. But it is poetic justice.
The goose saves the other duck from the duck bully if you look again. The goose is like batman but the goose version, so gooseman, but without the man part, so just... Goose.
Maybe the female Mallard was not pleased about the sexual assault (she does have ducklings) so perhaps the goose intervened as Judge and Jury. Very interesting how the other male Mallard tried to defend him.
Not really, Second Mullard tried to rape the duck aswell and was still when his mate was getting drowned (Chances is that made him horny). He doesnt try to help the Mallard he tries to fuck the goose.
There's 3 things I need to clarify with those who are terribly ignorant in this video, despite this video being 5 years old. . 1) The bird that you see over there is actually a Chinese Goose, not a Swan, Swans are way larger, plus, the shape of the beak is different. For those who says it's a Swan, please do your research. 2) Drakes (male ducks), are known to be violent during the mating process, and it's common in many species of ducks. They are socially organized 'gang rapers' that can get extremely deadly. This is part of their nature, and helping them isn't saying much. 3) Geese are known to be ferocious, and if you get too close, they would aggressively attack you. What the goose is doing here is to protect the female duck by drowning the drake. The goose unintentionally protected the duck.
OMG GUYS I KNOW WHAT THE CRAP IS HAPPENING: First off, that goose is a Brown Chinese Goose. I have one. Now, my gooses name is Puck. Puck is very defensive against our male ducks when they try to mate with the female ducks she grew up with. She will literally grab the back of their neck, rip them off the lady ducky, and begin trying to drown them in the dirt on land. I don't stop it cause it serves the bully right. Now like the video and this comment if you're rooting for that brave goose! EDIT: Puck will never, EVER touch and harm a female duck, even when they get aggressive or violent with her. She just wants to bring all male ducks DOWN. Literally.
Yea geese are VERY mean especially Canadian geese and usually Chinese geese are mean but i have a friend that has 4 Chinese geese in his backyard and they are more scared than testy they don't hiss or bite or spread their wings to make them selves look bigger and scare me off
You can tell by the little tail flip that the duck the goose grabbed was a male. Good job goose for ripping off the rough drakes and saving the momma. I have 7 females and 2 male ducks and the 2 males can get pretty aggressive with the females. Maybe I should get a goose
@@nickybayton8332 Hah yeah, i was reading this went like.. "ehh.. mallards are super obvious to tell apart, females are brown, males are grey green etc., no need to be looking at their tails to find out who's who. Although this video makes them all look kinda dark brown, but yeah.
Jeff Holland en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mallard The drakes that end up being left out after the others have paired off with mating partners sometimes target an isolated female duck, even one of a different species, and proceed to chase and peck at her until she weakens, at which point the males take turns copulating with the female.[86] Lebret (1961) calls this behaviour "Attempted Rape Flight", and Stanley Cramp and K.E.L. Simmons (1977) speak of "rape-intent flights".[86]
Geese really are the best. I've been visiting one a couple times a week at a nearby pond and it always mock charges me in between the bites of food I give him, attacks my dog that's 3 times his size, then yesterday he chased off a mother and her bratty kids. I'm very close to bringing him home just so I can see all of his hijinks daily.
The goose literally busted up in there and kept that female duck from getting killed or raped by those mallards, though probably not intentionally, of course. It's interesting how common rape is in mallards, to the point of killing the females... I believe the ratio of male to females in their species is pretty uneven, so the males who weren't lucky enough to pair up get a bit forceful. Also, fun fact, ducks are one of the few bird species that has a penis!
The goose knew exactly what it was doing. Yeah. Saving the poor female duck from being gang raped and potentially killed and drowned by the aggressive male duck attacking her. Good on goose.
Lol I have a male goose, male and female ducks. Male geese protect even our chicks. Anyway he was getting him some action and turned into a dirty 3 way with duck on his back. It happens all the time in my yard during matting season.
because the gander really does mate! The male goose didn't want to save the female duck, he only wanted to mate, because there was no female goose in the lake, so he wanted a female duck, unfortunately he couldn't get to the female duck, so he had to go after the drake, which was smaller than the male goose, so the goose could to show dominance over smaller bird. This bis*xual behavior (a larger male attempting to mate with a smaller male when no female is available) can also be seen in dogs or men in prison
