After looking at almost 10 videos, yours finally gave me a tour of the Shire, not only during the day, but at night too! You also included the Green Dragon-inside and out-which others surprisingly didn't do. Thank you for taking me on the full tour! I loved it!
Hobbiton is the one of the few places that feel like you just walk into a whole different world. There just something about the simple fantastical world of it that really draw you in with how peaceful it looks.
I swear some entrepreneur needs to build something similar in the United States. Would be booked solid year round. Also maybe have 5 or 6 hobbit holes that can be rented overnight!
I would love to be there...Love New Zealand in General. I would love to see them expand it and make all the hobit homes liveable and look just like the movie interiors. Perhaps create a Hobbiton Hotel on another hill. And have hobbits doing the tours in costume!

Great video and banquet! Such a beautiful place!!! I contacted the Good George Brewery who brews the Green Dragon ales to see if I could have some sent up here to Aberdeen, WA. And they said nope - they only brew it for Hobbiton darn it. But it's an amber ale so Full Sail Amber is a close second!

Hello ! We are going to do the evening banquet tour next february, how long is the evening walk with lanterns ? I see this is guided tour aswell so I'd like to know if we have time to chill around hobbiton freely and take our time to do pictures and stuff 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us. I know I'll never make the trip so, I have a burning question--were mushrooms served at the banquet? Farmer Maggot's mushrooms? You see, I never cared for mushrooms prior to reading The Hobbit for the first time way back in @ 1964 but after that, they've become one of my favorite foods.
Great question! No mushrooms by themselves but there was some beef stew smothered in a mushrooms and gravy.
Farmer Maggot would be proud though... assuming the hobbits didn't steal them.
They now have Hobbit houses you can go inside and see.
I have been watching lord of the rings for more than 20 years and one my greatest dreams is to travel to Hobbiton with my wife even for a single night.I am from Greece so this becomes extremely expensive but one day i have promised my self that i will make it !!!
Your video is so so beautiful. I watched three time. I have some questions, can you help me. Do we have to book the banquet tour before or come and then buy the ticket is okay ? Also do you think 4 hours is enough to enjoy the hobbiton or should I buy the second breakfast + the banquet?. I am planning to go there in the end of this year. Can you give me some advice please.
Glad you enjoyed the video! We haven't done the second breakfast tour but it sounds really fun. If you do either of those you absolutely need to reserve tickets as soon as you know the dates you're looking for. Those can sell out months in advance sometimes. When we booked our trip, our dates were actually sold out and we had to just keep checking back every day on the site to see if any cancellations popped up (which they eventually did) so that's also an option if it sells our before you book. From our experience we'd say the 4 hour banquet tour is just the right amount of time. The regular tour feels a bit rushed at 1.5-2ish hours but if worse comes to worse those tours should be readily available. Any way you go, it's gonna be worth it though. Hobbiton is such a cool place.

You can step just inside for the picture but there's nothing in there.

For anyone looking, you probably need to book this or breakfast like a year in advance. Lunch seems more accessible

Definitely would love to go on this tour, but the travel costs.... I'd be best waiting for a fortune from Publishers Clearing House or something, then I could also afford to take mom with me (she's the one who introduced me to the franchise, so she deserves the trip more than I do).
