22:04 this whole set makes a good point for whoever asked "How come diamonds play this bad against Sajam while against me they're godlike" if you go and watch Sajam's matches against this Ken before, you'll see that the Ken does way better than against Sajam's Kim, and that's mostly due to unfamiliarity with Sajam's playstyle with Kim, more grounded and patient than any of the ones you'll see online due to sheer pressure from uncertainty and the mental stack, he plays way worse the same thing happens when comparing people fighting Sajam's Ken and the average joe
It's great watching Sajam play characters regarded as low tier because it's always the same conversation like with the Jamie vids. Like a good player put this character in a low tier which means they have two left feet and heal the opponent on hit when anyone below diamond plays them.
@@jpVariYeah, we should go back to talking about which characters engage in practices of yuri! (This is a joke I have nothing meaningful to add other than even outside of FGs, in many gaming environs people tend to parrot the Top Dogs)
Fighting games are 1v1, so people are really eager to find ANYTHING to blame for their loss other than the obvious answer. Tier lists are prime fodder for such excuses. I literally see people calling Ken broken and braindead meanwhile Ryu is completely useless and Capcom "lost their mind" making him so bad. Funny.
@@DraconicCatgirl Not just gaming, the internet is full of people just regurgitating takes left and right. Why think for yourself when you can just watch a youtube video telling you what to think. Far easier.
Hearing Sajams rant about Ryu players being the opposite of a stoic honorable warrior in SF6 was fucking cathartic. Its so real, maybe 1 out of like 10 ryu players in sf6 play solid lol
1:38:41 I think that's definitely true for a lot of people where you don't want to acknowledge you're bad/your ego gets in the way, but I also think there's something about nerves just getting to you and you're not able to properly wind down after a match so you just keep getting increasingly more and more frustrated which leads to more mistakes which in turn leads to more frustration, even if you maintain the right mindset throughout. I think some people can manage with a mindset change but from personal experience I know that a lot will need to also know how to calm their body and nervous system down by taking some deep breaths, exercising regularly, making sure you're able to return to a relaxed state during the day, etc.. Fighting games are a high engagement activity so if you're very high strung all the time(sometimes without knowing it), when engaging with them it can manifest as salt/rage.
I'm not very salty on FGs (I am on team based Mobas and such though) but climbing was always something tha peaked my nerves. I can't do more than like 4 games back to back because I just starts shaking from the tension. Even when I feel I'm doing pretty good.
The fact that someone would ask why you'd use her level 2 at all, says a lot about how people feel about "their" characters lol. Crazy that lowering your opponent's health points to zero is such a strong tool. I wish my character could lower health points, but why would I ever wanna do that.
I always thought Kimberly was a charge character because most Kim players are constantly walking backwards to the wall, then attempting a special move across the screen.
i've never seen a kim like that. last kim i fougth walked back to fullscreen and either slid or teleport. she got to diamond 1 doing just that and one and doning anyone that can beat her.
1:39:05 I wanna piggyback off the getting mad advice. There's definitely getting mad over thinking you should win, but I wanna touch on just getting angry. Personally having a history of just getting mad and frustrated at things with almost no provocation, if it's not a mentality thing and you just find yourself getting frustrated, it can help just focusing on recognizing when you're getting angry, and learning to step away. Which is prolly hella easy to read and laugh at, but man, it can get so fucking hard to wanna step away when something is just frustrating. All in all, taking a step back, and getting a deep breath in, can honestly do WONDERS for relaxing.
I wish I could play this character. Been trying. But I suck at the fundamentals. So learning a character feels like a long road for me. I guess I can only keep trying. Hard to stay motivated with no friends to play it with.
99% of kim players ive played just do a fake walk back and forth shimmy pretending like theyre playing neutral until randomly doing either slide, teleport, drive rush or 6hk so watching a kim actually play neutral is nice for once
How do you constantly get the ex air grab off of the neutral grab shuriken bomb? When I do it I can never get kim to jump or she jumps to late and high. I can land the air grabs off of every other shurikem bomb just, not off the neutral/standing grab.
Why do you (and most other players i see) do the HP Vagabond into MP xx Tatsu, instead of the airthrow? It does more damage and is IMO easier to do. you dont have to do the tigerknee motion, you got loads of time.
qcfK MK qcfP Basically you do qcf medium kick but double tap the button and then just do a quarter circle forward punch without pausing in between any of the inputs
Goddamnit, everyone's playing Kimberly after that dude won the tourney. Anyway, I think Honda may be the easiest to climb with, as he's safe as hell, coverts everything into Level 3 and his tilting factor could be the strongest in the game, as most people absolutely despise him and can't handle the matchup.
Barry? played so good. The whole Ken round exudes the "Daigo energy" ppl want to be rather than run up DP. Good neutral and good reaction. His combo structure and frametraps could do a lot of work, thats why you see some of his setups and safejumps not working and then lose pressure. Because of Daigo(excessive aggressive) playstyle you have to play with whatever advantage you can but he was losing it as he was getting it due to not having good enders and frametraps. He looks like a player with much expertise but not got used to Ken's moveset yet.
@@tfwnocatgirlgf That's because it feels like it's easier to contest her. Her sprint for example is very hit or miss imo. I don't know what tf you mean by flowcharty tho
