dennis neo yes. You are correct... however there are a thousand more options in publisher and the way it handles the content is much more powerful than Word. It is the difference of using Windows movie maker and adobe premiere pro. Both edit video... but one is still better. 😁
The 2016 update was better, but coming from Adobe InDesign and Photoshop there is still a lot of missing feature. However, there is quite a bit that you can do with Publisher that no other program can do. Hopping Microsoft will listen and implement some great new features in the 2018 update.

i use the remove background tool, do you know where it is found?
Yes. It is now under “recolor” under the format tab when the picture is selected. Click “recolor” then “set transparent color.”

Pretty sure it still works... the background may need to be white though. I will take a look tomorrow and make a video later this week. 😁
