Meeting with the Jedi Masters on Dantooine Part 2

- If you stay true to the light side, you can gather the Jedi Masters together and have a meeting with them at the old Jedi Council room on Dantooine. This scenario is different because this time Master Lonna Vash is there. If you have DStoney's M4-78 mod installed, she will be alive and found on M4-78 instead of being found dead on Korriban. It will be funny how many people will be freaked out by this, be all confused and ask about it without even thinking about reading this summary. I did this version because I look forward to seeing how many people out there will ask about it with confusion in their dialogue. This video scene has been requested numerous times, so here it is. This is the second part of two.

"You've fought across these planets, killing hundreds, only to become stronger. Why do you think that is?"
"Experience Points?"
so that i can improve my force powers and unlock more
I love Kreia in this. She shows up on her own, no light saber, because she knows she won't need one. And she doesn't even react as the masters ignite their sabers because she finds them so pathetic. One of the best written scenes in a game I've ever seen, which is saying something especially considering the same wasn't even finished.
DIED ?!? NO - became stronger , yes.
+bgcvetan
I've always loved the delivery on that line.
I notice Kreia sounds a lot more angry at the Jedi Council when you are a male exile than a female exile
One thing I love so much about this game is that it is thought provoking. I actually enjoy listening to Kreia rant, because her point of view interests me. She isn't your run-of-the-mill evil villain.
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.
I used to have so much respect for Kavar and Zez-Kai El because I thought they would see the truth but I always disliked Vrook he is always so arrogant
I love how the masters are bringing up the leveling system
But what the Jedi Masters failed to realize is that the Exile was the ONLY ONE who could defeat Darth Nihilus.
A message out there to all fans. We must try to get Obsidian and Bioware and all those who made this game to make a KOTOR 3. We need a new hero. 'The Old Republic' online is not KOTOR. It is not the same. We need a sequel. Vote this up, and our voice may be heard.
The greatest lesson I've ever learned.
This game is beyond simple stories. This game is beyond life.
I sure as hell wouldn't want to be a Jedi during the Old Republic... sanctimonious bastards. I had so much respect for Kavar before I saw this in the game. On its own, this scene justifies the Second Great Jedi Purge (the one that started in Revenge Of The Sith, in case anyone didn't know which one I meant). They deserve their fate...
99thJediWarrior The Jedi are a bunch of cowards who can't even embrace their own emotions. "We musn't act on impulse while the Mandalorians take over the known galaxy."
+99thJediWarrior This is why I always play as a Smuggler. Being a Jedi (OR Sith) is overrated.
+Flaming MonkeyAss Sadly that's not even why they refused to fight the Mandalorian war, and it's also why the council were even bigger hypocrites then you would think. The Jedi order literally exists to protect and serve the republic, PROTECT and SERVE. It was why during the clone wars, the Jedi HAD to become generals. The Jedi are suppose to love everyone, but never 'fall' in love with anyone.
When the council chose not to fight, in fear of some 'looming darkness', they literally put their own concerns over the lives of the entire galaxy, instead of looking for a way to face both issues, they chose to wait.
+99thJediWarrior why?
Because Jedi lie.
@@candycommander Not only they're cowards or arrogant. But they're ignorant & cold. Both the Jedi & the Sith keep depending on the Force rather than listening to it. They forget that they served the Force. They belonged to the Force not the Force belonged to them. No wonder their predecessors the Bendu or the Je'daii (1st original before the great schism) would felt disgusted if they're alive. Anyways, the whole cycle of unbalance between the 2 sects still continues.
Man..the stuff that Jolee and Kreia say can really make you think.
Damn, Vrook Lamar has gone too far. In my book, Surik actually fought the “Masters” in a death battle, but he was defeated and Vrook was about to cut him off from the Force, with intentions to kill.
Kreia is probably the best character I've ever seen in any video game. This mod only serves to further help the player understand how complex she is. Awesome job!
I wish there was a third ending where you let Kreia complete her plan and destroy the Force.
darthnate117 I'm currently on a gameplay where I'm remaining neutral to see if that has I new sequence
Doesn't matter what era it is, the Jedi council is always ignorant on the bigger picture.
this scene is like the only reward for playing as light side.
I never thought I'd feel utter respect and admiration for a fictional villain.
he has brought truth and you condemn it? THE ARROGANCE!
Scenes like this, this dark masterpiece, is what The Sith Lords is all about. It may not get the recognition it deserves today, but maybe someday we'll look back and see it was far ahead of its time. Writing, voice acting, story, and just dark atmosphere. Genius. Pure genius.
13 years later I can say we do look back at it like that
I love how she drains the Jedi council to death while giving a speech to the exile
I like the robes you gave to the Jedi Masters.
Kreia had no intention of killing the Jedi until they decided to pick on her prize student. She's basically a proud mother showing off her biggest success. The council automatically assume that people *like* the Exile are the disease.
Kreia doesn't technically "Death Field" them. She simply fills them with the "echoes" in the Force (like the ones from Malachor) to see if they could survive being "deafened." They don't.
@JediShemL Oh, yeah. Her monologue is one of the best stuff I've heard in a video game. Powerful as hell. I salute her voice actress for that.
This is just epic. no words to describe
shem for like storywriter of kotor 3! lol thanks for another great vid shem! :)
Kreia is a great character, Darth Traya is my favorite Sith Lord so far, hands down.
Amazin, man.
Kreia is something else entirely, definitely the most cryptic character I've ever come across.
Her dialogue is among the best I've ever heard anywhere.
Aye, i quote this game when i talk about philosophy sometimes.
I found something interesting in the KOTOR dark-horse comics. Some dialogue between Rohlan Dyre and Malak before he turned to the dark side. Rohlan quotes "That's the way you like it, jedi-isn't it? To save your republic but who will save the rebulic from you?" Good foreshadowing I think.
I absolutely love this scene. It leaves me speechless each time when the Masters stated what you were and Kreia responded.
i have never played kotor 2 but it seems really deep/intense and really cool!
James Rogers play it it’s worth playing I played in 2020 and enjoyed it
"A Jedi is a Jedi, first and foremost, and only. For a Jedi to divide his attention between the will of the Force and the will of others is to invite disaster."
-Hoche Trit
This game made me rethink my views on the Jedi. They stand for good but it is awful to strip the force from someone.
Thanks for the info.I was curious on that myself too.
Your are right. She was a intriquing character.I do have an interest in her even more.
Definitely my favourite scene in the entire of Star Wars Expanded Universe.
The conversation makes that very clear. Exile was a wound in the force, and potentially bring about the death of it
Awesome! :)
nice comeback
Most cinematic scene of any Star Wars game ever.
I like the fact she didn't kill them. She took their force out just like they did with the Exile. It just killed them because in the end they resorted to The Force far more than the Exile ever did.
A man so mighty, he makes other 30 year old gamers tremble with fear at his awesome power on the internet.
I ADORE Kreia's speech and Sara Kestelman's perfect delivery (though she overdid the "Die, no. Became stronger, yes." line a bit).
this was...powerful
Hey Shem haha it's been awhile since I've posted on your videos XD. I know you haven't played the game in over about 3 years or so but I would like to know what robe mod are you using for this play through? If you remember that it is. Btw I love your videos and mods. I have your Dopak and Taepalae mods, DS transition mod, Ultimate Sound and realistic visual and prequel sabers mod :). Good stuff
Not only did you get burned by Shem, but you got burned twice!!!!! LOL
Agreed, the moment I found out why the exile lost his connection to the force and watched this scene I was immediately knew I got my money's worth for my purchase.
cool Vash lives! Damn I wish I had the pc version with the mods...
@JediShemL That Comment You directed at 92abcdefg gave me a smile for the rest of the day, lol
"I have endured your corruption of my other students-You shall not have this one." Fantastic. Simply fantastic
when Kreia has a job to do she does it well
That's when paying attention to what's going on throughout the game helps.
I agree. Kreia is the only character in the entire Star Wars saga that's well-written who has a significant role in the history of the Jedi Order, Sith Order, and of the Star Wars universe.
It is possible that The Exile used both Jedi and Krieas teachings in his ways throughout the adventures.Using and applying what he has learned from both to suite the situations he faced.
Good call Jedy Shemi on that reply..I enjoy the experience of RPGs from Star Wars.
Lmfao @ Kavar getting lifted up by Kreia, lightsaber dance ftw!!
Yep, That smashes my record of 30.
If you were more observant, you wouldn't have had to ask.
I quite like the ending when you did kill 1 master and Krea tells you off.
This is really cool. The fourth jedi is a bit to quiet though. I can however understand that adding dialogs to her is very hard.
Shem, you rock!
Ok, JediShem, I am now fully addicted to your KOTOR mods. You have my thanks for creating them. So please tell me master of KOTOR 1&2, how do I get this ending?
Is there a lightside ending where Kreia doesn't kill the masters? In the Prima guide, it says that in the lightside ending they survive to tell the exile to go after Kreia.
this is the greatest dialogue in the game. 5 stars!
man i love kreia speech XD no matter how many times i play trhough the game.
oh how i miss this game :)
I think Eli... whatever his name is, wit hthe double bladed lightsaber, was a little wiser than the others. he saw the faults of the jedi council.
It is clear that Surik was the only real Jedi left after the Jedi Civil War, until of course her disciples rebuilt the entire Order.
Didnt the Jedi with the stache do the narrative voice over for the Baulder's Gate games?
I got the M4-78 mod too work and I completed the planet now I can't wait to gather all the jedi masters, go to dantooine, and see vash there.
Gotta love Kreia, possibly the most mysterious character in the game, yet she was your greatist mentor, and Shem, just wondering, what starting/pretege classes do you prefer?
Every time I end the game and get to this part, is simply incredible, principally with a Light Side Character.
Shem, would you mind to explain me why does Kreia said that the Exile was afraid by turning away from the Force? Does it have any relation with the Exile's affinity in making bonds easily?
Anyway, great video, and I like the way you punish non-readers o.O xD
the last bit, the latest Kotor 2 patch changes it to "it is because you had no choice"
I love this scene!
Kreia is so badass taking down 3 (or 4 here lol) jedi masters with just a few force powers
even if she is a heartless witch she was always my favorite party member
OMG! when i played this game i didn't have this mod. quite the difference.
As any kid that grew up with SW universe I wanted to be a jedi until these games were played. That's when I actually started dislike if not hate the jedi order.Throughout the whole Kreia dialogue I bloody applaud her and was all:" You tell them woman! You tell them!" And that was on the light side path.
I think Vrook's interesting because he seems to know of the dark side and what it does. Maybe that'll be expanded on one day? But thats just what i've understood of him.
Kreia/Traya is good mix of Darth Plagueis and someone's Grandma, creepy yet reassuring
Kreia had an amazing voice actor. Seriously.
Doesn't matter how many era's pass the Jedi council's ignorance will always be their downfall. If I had the force I would most likely chose the path Revan did, learning both light and dark without the conflicting philosophies from the Jedi and Sith. In my opinion its all about balance but the Jedi's view of balance means without the Sith and vice versa.
is team gizka restorating this part as well?
the part where kreia speaks to the masters
individualy?
best part of the game
@xGENOCIDExl: Yes, it is the point. When you look for Lonna Vash, the last known location was Korriban, but in the restored content you learn that she went to M4-78 while on Korriban. So yes, you go to Korriban thinking she's there and later finding out she's gone. Why is it tough for you to understand?
@JediShemL vash's blade, vrook's blade and one of kavar's blades, zez-kai el's dual blade is green in addition to kavar's second blade
Kreia is my favorite video game character ever.
That's about as insane as it comes.
No one truly understands the Exile (including herself), even Kreia doesn't fully comprehend her.
I don`t know why are these jedi masters want you to leave the force, you helped them, and they want you to leave the force.
FYI: I never get caught up with all the canon shit because that to me defeats the whole purpose this game was designed for.
Thank God for Kreia in this scene!!
3 green blades and three purple blades 0_o
personally i think Kreia is an amazing teacher
From some perspective, Chris Avellone came up with an even more complex story for KOTOR 2 than Planescape: Torment. This scene shows this very well.
Kreia is speaking just like my grandmother
if they make an HD remake of this (hopefully for disc instead of Downloadable) i hope they put the cut content into it so we get this ^^
is there a vid where the exiles student show up to defend him? just curious.
It’s odd to me even if you followed the Jedi path and try to change I seriously thought they would take me in but nope still I ain’t mad it’s great story telling I love how I really do feel like that’s me in the game
hi MIGTIMAX, I think that perhaps you can play those mods because your dialog.tlk is spanish. I had the same problem as you, and if you want its works well, just download the english version of the english dialog.tlk. I am sure those mods will work well if you do that. (but you will have the dialogs in english)
Very good video Shem ^^ thank you. Is great.
These jedi were the scarred ones, not the Exile, he overcame his troubles, but these jedi couldn't handle that so many of their order died or joined the dark side, so they wanted to blame the Exile...
I take it we don't see this in the 'normal' game? Either way, great vid!
