Um what rust bucket?
R2.
On The Spot Interviews K2SO is the only interesting character in Rogue One and it was the biggest tragedy of Star Wars when he died.
Query: Are you certain he was inspired by the HK-47 unit?
Statement: K-2SO exhibits few similarities to the HK-47 unit, aside from being a source of humor.
Explanation: Not once does K-2SO refer to life forms as "meatbags" as HK-47 did.
Continuation: Their personalities are totally different. K-2SO also doesn't appear to have much of an opinion on killing. In contrast, HK-47 will gladly wipe out any meatbag, given the opportunity.
Addendum: They do not even talk the same way!
Conclusion: Despite HK-47 being nothing more than an obsolete unit in comparison to us HK-50s, I still can't help but feel a small amount of disgust towards these comparisons between K-2SO and HK-47.
best companion ever
Caution: "Shhh..., Master! Such a function in a droid is highly illegal..."
This droid from an RPG has more character than anyone in the prequels.
I would argue he has more character than anyone in the originals either…
Especially more than any character in the sequels though
ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ I literally watch attack of the clones repeatedly just for the cringes so, I guess you could say the whole sand line had a bit of character.

2:05 Anyone else find it alarming that HK-47 can calculate potential targets and act without permission?
Am I the only one that noticed that glow of HK-47's eyes dims and brightens when he talks?
No
Paul Mayo Thanks.
sigh, so soothing hearing HK47's dialog
3:24 I did not just hear HK-47 do an impersonation of McCoy.

Guys it's 2015 and I still play kotor! this just brings back memories... I wonder what Shem L is doing.
I love this guy, you can tell his undying loyalty is constantly in conflict with his urge to kill everything he sees.
The delivery of the lines by the actors in this game is phenomenal. HK-47 is a prime example!
God we need the third game so bad, especially the part where HK is dismantled like C-3po and you carry him on your back while he shoots enemies for you
To quote Revan from kevinsocal's KOTOR trilogy (which rocks by the way), "You have.....SERIOUS....issues, HK. You do know that, right?"
To this day, the best written Star Wars character of all time.
All these years and i fucking forgot HK was a licensed Psychologist
"Damnit master I am assassination droid nto a dictionary!"
"It is suggested while you run while my blasters warm up meatbags".
Best part of the game by far.
8:17 - 8:31 The fuck is going on back there.
The droids were rigged by the man's wife to blowup if he moved from that spot. So they just spaz about like that.
Gunnar Phillips What the @£#$!&%?
Looks like that thing from "going to the store"
Roger Puzzitiello yo bro you still play kotor?
+James Wright. Just finished it today.
One of the greatest companions in any game. I love you HK47 haha
*Statement: I have no life whatsoever because I am wasting my time replaying this over and over and over again.*
Hypothesis : Profond observation of the clanking HK unite, logical routes and sentience is remarquable perspective experience, one of seeing with cutting age opticals rather than unreliable meatbags eyeballs.
Commentary : The master is most wise to have a metaphysic alternative, espacily against odds so dire!
Analysis: But it’s time well spent, if you ask me.
@ 1:08 the way hk moves his head from side to side as if searching for unwanted listeners is the best part of that quote
good ol HK, still gold after all these years
You all have great logistical skills, for meatbags.
HK-If violence is not the answer, then you are doing it wrong-47
respect and thank you to whoever wrote his character. the precise descriptions have yet to be bested.
6:01 This has been in my mind rent free for awhile now.
Returning here after the KOTOR remaster trailer and I hope they brought HK's voice actor back. He's too good!
I can't say for sure but if Disney were ever to put HK-47 in the background of the next SW movie, my enjoyment of the series would go from 13% to 15%
Jolee making a rhetorical question about killing people
HK-47: finally somebody gets it!
I love it! He's my favorite character from those games. Either him or Canderous
Sure, why not?
STUPID BUCKET OF BOLTS.
omg, i'm dying
😂😂😂
Pair this droid up with Borderlands' "worlds deadliest 13 year old" and you got yourself one hell of a murdering duo
OMG that would be so fucking funny and epic at the same time.
Cringe.
Analysis: They’d blow Pandora up within the first hour of meeting, if we’re lucky.
"Damn it, Master! I am an assassination droid... not a dictionary!" Definitely a nod to Star Trek. :)
Just realized that HK-47 is basically a droid Deadpool.
+Chris Night HOLY CRAP YOUR RIGHT XD
you made my day
+Chris Night thats why on my dark side playthrough im going straight to tatooine, picking him up and taking him with me as i slaughter everything in my path to Sith Lord.
+Chris Night yes he even looks similar to him
+Chris Night wow....you're right wtf
when a side character droid/robot has better dialogue than your whole trilogy, you need to hire new writers
HK-47, Minsc, Mordin and Varic teaming up for a buddy cop movie.
The Kickstarter would break the website.
I'm blessed to know who Minsc and Boo are (for you can't have Minsc without Boo), but who are Mordin and Varic?
Glandor If only he was in a Jacky Chan movie.
@@lemjustlem Mordin Solus from Mass Effect 2/3 and Varric Tethras from Dragon Age 2/Inquisition.
You can't just rip me to pieces, I'll die!
Amendment: I did forget that. Stupid, frail, non-compartmentalized organic meatbags!
That last line.... and him insulting the small droid. To much...... very relatable
Literally the best companion to have
It's brilliant how such a soulless and 1-dimensional character was nonetheless such a comedic highlight of the game.
Behind that droid is not a one Dimensional mind. Even if you go light side in both games he actually wonders if there's more ways to do things.
@@barrybend7189 As i recall his main concern was if there was a more genocidal way we could have done things.
Playing 5D chess was more a Kreia or G0-T0 thing
@@Ch35h1r3C47 said assasin droid made an army of HK-51 units to alter things behind the scenes to keep things running and follow Revan's will even if on the light side.
@@barrybend7189 weren't those droids knock-offs made by someone else? or is that SWTOR lore?
@@Ch35h1r3C47 that's the HK-55 models.
This fella STILL makes me laugh.. Even after all these years, I LOVE you HK-47!!😁
