Gift! Mr. Tommy Brackens walked up to me and let me take his 24" BMX Cruiser around the track a few times here in Southern California's Whittier Narrows where Frosty was running the local ABA BMX races. Tommy was very gracious, professional, confident, and warm. A huge inspiration for me back in 1990. His pioneering spirit still continues to inspire me daily. Thank you two for this incredible conversation and source of information. Clifton Develle Cameron
I met tommy brackens at my job today. He is such an amazing person. My eyes lit up when he told me to look up this name ( tommy brackens ) and I replied, “ omg that’s you! “ great guy, very respectful.
I am so proud of being Tommy's first sponsor . As far as sponsoring him I did remember giving him that jersey he mentioned but mostly free parts from my Shimano sponsorship …I bet he still has the black high flange Dura Ace track hubs with araya rims from the wheels I built for him. I loved building the wheels for all my riders and for Tommy who appreciated everything I was able to do for him.
One of the best memories I could ever have was being the Manager of the Jag Team for Renny Rokor and driving the Team in the Jag motor home to all the races. Class act all of them. Anthony, Turnel, Charlie, Howard and Tommy
I met Mr Brackens at a A1 Supercross race. A true Gentleman and sooo humble.
Hi Tommy I don't know if you remember but you once gave me your helmet at the Orange Y track. You were my hero growing up. Thank you for the memories and making a kids night! I still have that helmet that you signed!

I'm so glad I came across your site...Mrs M❤
I remember Tommy Brackens in the BMX magazines from the 1980's advertising the G.T. racing bikes. I wanted a G.T. because of those ads and the photos of the races in those magazines. I did get a G.T. Mach One as a kid it was sweet. It got stolen....But it was sweet! Memories of my youth.
