    Great interview.
Love how humbly and grounded Scott carries himself.
I've been a huge fan for a decade now.
The sincerity of their songwriting, combined with kindness of character, make them standout far beyond the rest.
Thanks for such a cool interview, Craig.

"all I can be is the best me". ! So beautifully and succinctly explained. Awesome conversation and just solidifies why I love the Avett Brothers and their music, artistry, so much. Their songs have influenced my life so deeply. I finally got to see them perform just a few weeks ago in Providence, RI. Thank you both for this great conversation and thoughtful interview!

Scott moves me in so many ways both with his music and art, I can’t even describe it. During Covid concert was canceled at Bayfront Festival Park on the shores of Lake Superior here in Duluth, Minnesota. Scott, you guys gotta come back so we have the pleasure of you all and you gotta experience this Venue with Lake Superior right behind the Stage. It’s incredible! Please come back and play for us. Much love to the Avetts ♥️

Thank you both so much for this. Besides the obvious connection felt from the Avett Brothers music and lyrics, which brought me here, I identify so much as an artist to the elements and perspectives that have shaped Scott’s life. Found myself smiling and nodding as topics progressed from supportive parents/family to belief that creativity is fostered by support of one another, rather than competition, and that you can thrive in more than one avenue of art at the same time. Also, that to know your limitations isn’t a bad thing… but that when you align yourself with fellow artists or a team, it is a family for sure and you thrive off of sharing and collaboration and/or just showing up to cheer in the crowd.
On a side note, I think I’d probably end up in hospital if I ever tried to skate😂, but I have painted a few decks to raise money for a local (York, PA) skate park at silent auctions. Hoping they start one up again this fall. Also, my sister’s town (Hanover) has a cool shop called Art of Board and the maker takes old decks and cuts them up into tiles and makes custom tables, bars, walls, etc. If you don’t already know them, you might be interested! Cheers, guys. This was inspiring.🥰

This man inspired me when I was 17 to pick up a guitar, so cool to hear about their roots more. Also as a fellow skater, I remember dropping in on a 15 foot half pipe when I was 9, I dang near went straight to the concrete on that one. xD
