I was to do a third pour an ended up having my R knee prosthesis fail leaving me in the hospital expecting a month or more time here. This video seems to be cursed in one manner or another it seems eh. It will be the first pour when I get back to my pouring bench.Well bud I can continue to watch your postings and finally understand what you are up to. Many thanks K.

Great vid sreetips also there is a high probability that the solution contains silver as some gold filled stuff is GF over silver so could you test the solution in your next vid and are you going to transfer the used solution to another beaker and add clean distilled water and nitric to the scrap and continue dissolving? Or are you just going to keep adding nitric to the same solution?

    Mr. Sreetips
I recently started on 585g of my gold filled scrap I had accumulated.
I removed all the trash as you do.
    Incinerated as you do.
Used distilled water and 70% Nitric Acid at a 50/50 ratio.
But, now I have a brown fluffy mud / slime in my solution.
Any idea what it may be ?

I understand why you want them, Igor. I'm the same way with your language. I read better than I hear. :)

According to your own words, this process shouldn't work. How is the acid going to get to the brass in the center of the filled scrap unless you file into it or cut it open?

Good question. I don’t know. But it does. The test acid doesn’t have the same punch as the 50/50 nitric

That gold-filled layer is quite thin (though a lot thicker than gold plating). He's using stronger acid and heat. But that layer is why this takes so long. Without it the whole pot full would dissolve in less than an hour.

I like your videos but why do you have to repeat yourself over and over again?

This is annoying to you because you’re smart and you get it the first time. But there are folks who benefit from the information being repeated several times. Reinforcement.

I enjoy watching the lengthy videos, very detailed.

As has been said before, the best thing about these videos is that they DON'T skip any steps.
