    Why would someone thumbs down your video? You put so much effort into this process and into making it a video for us all to see, what is so bad it deserves a thumbs down, letalone 8?
    Thank you so much for all your hard work! I love these videos first of all. Secondly, you've actually got me excited about having an amateur lab again. I set one up in my early 20s when I studied chemistry at college but I left the program for other reasons and never finished my degree. This reminds me of why I loved chemistry to begin with. And you've found the perfect balance between a quality career and your passion for the science. Truly awesome!

Also, you still had what appeared to be nitrogen dioxide gas coming off of it, at this point in your process did you think that you still had silver and other base metals yet to dissolve? You have commented in earlier videos about incinerating the material to remove organics as well as tin/lead solder. I can't remember which video it was but you said the tin, in nitric, makes a "sticky gunk" could that be the reason your filter loaded up so fast? Or perhaps there was some cement silver? I have no experience doing this, I just enjoy the mental puzzle and watching your videos. Best on the subject, btw. Gratz on the 100k, please keep on!

    • @sreetips
      @sreetips  4 года назад

      Metastatic acid (tin paste) is a likely candidate for the clogged filter. Gold filled scrap is notorious for containing soft solder made of tin and lead.
