Honestly, the differences between all of these git websites like GitHub, GitLab, CodeBerg, etc. it’s difficult to tell the pros and cons and why there is even more than just GitHub
A well written jQuery plugin f.ex is a thing of beauty seriously ... IDC, I get a lot of satisfaction from doing so, but in honesty, I rarely touch UI code so many it's the novelty.
If it wasn’t for jquery JavaScript wouldn’t be what it is now. Jquery paved the way for frameworks like react, angular, vue and the JavaScript itself. Show some respect.
From somedays since i started learning mern stack after being experienced with python django and php i also feels like why the f react ,node.js is in trend it is really really harder than other tech i mentioned.
Microsoft doesn't even support IE anymore as of two+ years ago. jQuery dropped IE 10 and below AND IE 11 has a 0.56% market. I think it's ok to let it go.
@@Dead-Not-Sleeping 2018? Not surprised. My client finally started transitioning from IE9 to Chrome back in 2019, and even then we were still required to guarantee support for IE for at least one more year 😅 . Oh, and we still had at least one system running on IE6 until 2020, when I left that job.
Biggest thing is jquery is simple. when building a python backend we can easily make it a jinja 2 template and still use jquery. same goes for php backend.
i hereby endorse this video. i'm making complicated frontends in a fraction of the time the reactjs guys take, using basic html boosted with jquery, and for internal use purposed, internal dashboards etc, the business leads honestly don't care about hiding away client-side business logic.
Continue using it, if you like it. It will die someday but so will everything else. From my experience, v4 is impressive as **** (in a nerdy kind of way)😊 Granted, there is a lot of legacy code that makes this stat up but 78% of the web uses it. Also, there are major players creating and maintaining huge libraries built on it. Kendo ui jQuery comes to mind.
These terms aren't concrete. In general a library is a collection of functions and classes, and it's mostly up to you what parts to use and where. A framework has you do things a certain way (like a frame you have to work within) in order to achieve a specific result (a web app, an API, etc) and provides tools and patterns for that
You're trying to sell an outdated and bad designed framework as it was one of the great wonderful of the world.. come on, typescript came to stay and npm is such a great tool .. your video makes me feel like I'm on 2010s
state management is literally just a global object with variables, and actions to modify it. just make a single js file with state, getters and actions, import it and call it a day

How does a professional resume of a software engineer look like?
its funny how we come back to php and jquery from node lol
Everyone wants the $$$$
Y'all will crawl back 😂😂 **evil laugh**

Nah bro. Going by the number of dollar signs PHP devs are the richest 😈
jQuery + PHP
They both go hand in hand actually
"The only state you need to manage is the state of your life," ain't no aah aah way💀
Bro woke up and chose violence
Bro started to roast us at the end 😅
The dollar sign really got me. Nice work 😅
Unironically love jquery still. Shit just works.
I tried it when I knew nothing about javascript and this is the only library that did not work for me ever haha
@@itznukeeyskill issues 😢
@@itznukeey I actually know jquery better than vanilla JS

Legacy pays the bills 🤷♂️
jquery + ajax it was best libs back in the day.
JQuery FTW.

u nailed it. in this short clip.
Dat background music! It's a fit!
jQuery a framework, good one. Even they call it a JavaScript Library on their own website. 😂
jQuery is not a framework but a library. It is impossible to implement more complex things related to state management!
Bro roasted us😂

Bro, you know that you can get the production code of npm package from unpkg, right?
greetings from Peru
You helped me decide between JQuery and REACT...thanks...
what you decide bro ... I'm waste too
react is a waste of time and code lines
So true 🎉
meanwhile, 80%+ of internet is jQuery
I like handlebars 🙂
Brother I respect you!
But please specify correct identification if you are talking about library or framework.
Jquery is a library not a framework.
BASED
Why didn't I think of it all this time? I need Life Redux!
Tried to use Alpine js, what a nightmare. Fell back to good ol JQuery. Its boss level
I still use jQuery and I'm not ashamed to admit it
😂❤ love this video 😊
Jquery4 does drop support for ie. You Need to look for a better alternative.
Here's the alternative: JQuery3
Microsoft doesn't even support IE anymore as of two+ years ago. jQuery dropped IE 10 and below AND IE 11 has a 0.56% market.
I think it's ok to let it go.
I mean, if you _really_ need to support legacy systems that old, you should use old versions of existing libraries to begin with, so... jQuery 3 😊 .
@@TheDragShotspeaking of legacy systems, I had a client back in 2018 that was still using ie6. 🤯

In the end its back to php and jquery
gg if you got no internet.

Its not about technology, as long as you can finish your task clear and good and thats good hehe

Does anyone want to try my framework called "chainus"? It is reactive, has almost every feature needed for a framework, and is lightweight.
Library
add more variables to php code to get more money 😂.
Jquery is the goat
I use jQuery when creating a project with Django, but then realise vanilla JavaScript was better 😂
You know that jquery is a library not a framework, right?
React was a mistake
I hâte jquery 😅
You what else has dollar signs? PHP
Grandma using a Huawei
I'm not sure which one I hate more React or jQeury.
Tell me you don't know anything about front-end development without telling you don't know anything about fe development
Jquery worke fine. Also, npm package managers do not age well, you know what does? Adding a frickin script tag. It always works regardless of age
I'd like to see you take better care of yourself bro. Pls bro.
What the actual fuck is this comment
I wish we all left React/Next in trash and used Vue/Nuxt. jQuery was nice, but React DX is absolutely horrible
For my personal projects I always used jQuery. Those didn't make a lot of $$$ though

just make a single js file with state, getters and actions, import it and call it a day
$('.hassle').remove();
I will use jQuery even after WW3
