I really love the way you talk to your wife. You can tell you love her very much. Good on you Martin, it’s great to see in this disposable relationship world we live in!
Thanks Ian, yes I love her very much, I am blessed.
Cheers
Martin
Must say I like how you're doing this Martin. Not an open wallet restore, just replacing what is needed, and cleaning and painting. It'll look more 'honest' than if you'd done a full restore, engine rebuild etc.
That's right Malc, its going to be used so its not worth throwing money at it just to say its been restored.btw, what size hoody are you?
Cheers
Martin
What size? Well medium I think. 38in chest now. Thing is I've had all my clothes for years, or they've been given to me. Used to be 5ft 7in but after years measured my height last year and now less than 5/6. Need 5 cushions to see over the steering wheel lol. Jeans are 34 waist 30 leg. Just to give you an idea of my size.
I had the same thing recently Malc, I used to be 5 ft 7 and a half and I measured myself a few weeks ago and I am now 5 ft 6.
Good reassembling video Martin 😁 Love your helping hand lol 😆
Yes, she turned up at the right time lol
Great build video Martin, thank you.
Thanks bud.
nice one martin good progress there looking forward to the next one.
Cheers Dave
Your brother should really like the Vespa nice work on it so far
I hope so Rob, it will be a good-un.
Looks lovely Martin, really starting to take shape now. Well done Cheers
thanks Pete, yes, getting there now.
Nice one Martin it's coming along nicely.
thanks Dan.
Good to see you keeping going whilst ill. Ive only managed to properly get out of bed after 2 days of being laid up.
Nice video again Martin, looking forward to the wig reveal, sorry 'hair system'😂😂 a shout out on that video would make my day!
I'll see what I can do if I remember.
It's not as though I feel rough, it's more of a nuicence.Get well soon Michael.
You're making good progress there Martin. Make sure you get white grease on all your electrical connections. The Acclaims had plenty of the stuff which no doubt contributed to their reliability.
Yes, its good stuff and as you know, repels water very well.
Really looks sweet, Martin. Nice job.
Thanks George, not long now, i'm on target to have it finished fr the 15th March.
Martin, Bike is look great the paint finish is super! Lots of top tips and good info as always! Cheers Dave.
Thanks Dave, it's dusty and will be great once it's polished.
Cheers
Martin

Haha Rog, work comes to a standstill when he's around.

Yes, i've seen them a lot worse than this one Simon.
looking good martin,really nice job................all the best.........dougie
Cheers Doug.
Martin that eye looks like you took a left hook off the misses lol
Haha, its conjunctivitis Bri, its doing my head in lol
Plenty of white grease 😁 piago is looking good 👍
Yes Ian, keeps the water out.
That moped will be better than new. Martin, if you could restore a bike for yourself, which bike would you chose? Nice to see Sharon again. You should do some cooking vids again.
I have restored a few bikes Bri but i'd do a Yamaha RD350 LC again as I loved those. Gotta get these projects finished first.
The vespa is coming on well martin
Cheers Dean.
Not long now looking good
Cheers Leon, yes, not much to do really.
Good show ,you make very good videos, cheers best regards..
Thanks Ray.
Nice job Martin . Your eye looks frigging toast more drops needed .
Pete.
Just dosed it with Apple cider vinegar Pete.
I am presuming the video`s for the moped and such is because the cold weather is holding up the work on the Reliant ?
I've got to get this scooter ready for my brother so it is taking precedence at the moment.
I got one of theses mine is a 1999 T reg ill use these videos if I need to work on her .mine only dose 30mph
Good video martin 👍
Cheers Will
I'm looking forward to seeing Lee's syrup lol
Haha, we all are lol
You must have a good memory with how many things you have on the go Martin I can't find things after I've put them down lol. The bike's looking great will you be taking it on it's test drive for the mot?
I'm lucky to be able to look back on the videos when I forget something Rob lol. Not sure yet but we will get it MOT'd.
Lovely!
Im a 16 year old from boston was wondering how much you'll be selling this for when its done (bearing in mind im not a millionaire), doing a good job on it I see, nice vid
I'm giving it to my brother Thomas but I'm starting the other scooter after in my bike playlist.
When I have my wife holding something for me, I usually tell her, "Just hold that and I'll be back in an hour or so..." LOL
Haha, She just timed that at the right time George so I had to take full advantage, bless her lol
Sorry about that eye , Vespa is looking sweet !
Thanks Shawn, Yes, bike coming along now. Eye still needs work lol
Bet you are glad you are jetting up with a 4 stroke and not the nightmare plug chop and check, run down the road, wait for the heat seize nipping at the back wheel of a 2 stroke Vespa so drop the jets by a factor of 5 and see if it runs better hehe I have seriously considered getting from my mate who works in LML over in India a 4 stroker which should bolt straight in where a 2 stroker was as the gear changing can be wearing on the ol' dodgy shoulder and I do like the CVT engines (the tech originally came from Daf Variomatics, do you remember them horrible Dafs?).
Yes I remember the Dafs very well Ian. You don't see them any more. Thgis is a 2 stroke though.
Sorry my bad as I thought it was a 4 stroke version, it is easier on the later Vespa's and others like the Italjet to dial in 2 stroke jets, you coulda gone postal on it and slapped a reed valve in between carb and inlet for more pokies :)
Not expecting too much but a restricted 50cc is rubbish. I've derestricted similar and got just over 50mph so we'll see
Where`s whiggy ? nice work as usual bud
Building himself up for the wig reveal lol
Looking good Martin your eye certainly isn’t.
lol I know Col,getting on my nerves now.
Terminator eye Martin?
Haha, yes it does look a bit spooky lol
Eye eye fishy pie :)
Haha, its conjunctivitis Pete. had it for 5 days now.
retrorestore i remember you saying in previous vid .looks sore tho . You like that lithium grease :) great stuff to use on boats as its water proof . What bikes do you have ? Do you still ride ?
Sold my last bikes about 4 years ago, 2x 350LC's and my RD400F. Had many bikes over the years from a FS1E to an R1.
retrorestore never owned either but they would have to be my goto bike or kh400 with microns on a summers day just to let the youngster have a sniff of vegetable oil being burnt apart from hanging out the back of mac-donalds. Why did you not keep one ?
I didn't use them Pete. You can see my RD400 and one of my 350LC's in my bike playlist.
Be careful u don't get best dust in your eye mate
Yes, thanks Ed, I had the safety glasses on whilst drilling that terminal out.
