Hi martin, I'v tinkered with quite a few 2 stroke moped engines and the jetting can be a real nightmare to get right, i was told by a motorcycle tuning specialist that a good guide to upjetting is to buy 3 jets, one + 5% one + 8% and one + 10% larger than the number that the standard jet is stamped with, it can save a lot of time messing around thinking of what size jet to buy next if the previous jet doesn't work might help :)
Martin, Great video & tips, We used this type of variator belt system on our snow track steering when we were in Norway with 45 Comando Royal Marines, They had a turning circle of around 100ft lol. Cheers Dave.
I saved a copy of this video for reference, Thanks. For some reason, my China 150cc scooter came with a "Speed Limiter" according to the paperwork. Since I don't know exactly what the Chinese company means by "Speed Limiter", I'll check all these places plus the CDI.

The outer pulley should have a plastic fan on it and when replacing the pulley you should pull open the rear torque drive pulley and push the belt down to allow slack on the belt so you dont pinch the belt when replacing the front pulley.

Hi thks four your great video I buy a Piaggio Zip 50 2T from 2015 I won’t a little more speed what parts you recommend to buy the sport clutch whit blue springs I buy or ready any more you recommended thank you very much
Just make sure the restrictor ring in the exhaust is removed and check if the variator has an extra spacer ring that restricts the speed. Some carbs also have a restrictor ring on the inlet. After that, you might need a bigger main jet. That should be a good place to start.
Could be wrong as I’m watching on a tiny screen, but a common problem with rotary tools is that the little plastic cap comes off the locking push thing (and usually the spring too) which causes that rattling sound and can get stuck and cause smoking, buzzing etc, it looked like yours was missing, so might be worth checking to see if it is just that.

Friday night kids in bed . wife's a work im sat with a nice whisky watching this happy days. a 66 main jet you may get away with that with a k&n or free flow air filter
Ive tinkered with a few of these bikes and with those carbs to run a open filter you need a really big main jet, something around a 80-90, ive even known people to need to run over 100 with 70cc kits using this carb and a open filter. on a 50cc kit anyway a open filter is pointless, just use a load more fuel and make lots of noise.
