For sure. But on what basis do we determine when that's the case? From practical personal experience, and a psychological understanding of this, uniting that with a grasp of the definition of love within Scripture, it's good to think about whether if it's entirely centered on ourselves and consists of a more lustful and impatient quality; or if there's a rather inherent one of selflessness, integrity and compassion/willingness to understand on both ends about it. The former of which would determine the opposite, that is; demonic. Or something akin to it.

@Send that chicken To the police Well, that's tough to deal with. We are not to covet another man's wife, for women it would be husband, when someone is married they are off limits. I think it was the old show Dragnet where the policeman said ""Just the facts, maam". It's hard to shift gears but I try to look at it in black and white, if a woman is married she's DQ, disqualified. Doesn't matter how attractive she is. Our commitment to God and Jesus MUST take top priority, Jesus said if we follow him we should deny ourselves, take up our cross daily and follow him. So to deny ourselves something in the long run which will hurt us is actually a good thing.
I think God can also use these feelings to remind you to pray for that person. It's never a waste of time to pray!
Absolutly. I prayed earnestly for every single men I was ever in love with. And I know God used those feelings so I could have done that.

@@Scoop2380 I no longer want them either. As a matter of fact, I am going to the wedding of one of them. In my case, I wasn't misstreated by any of them. It just didn't happened that none of them were part of God's plans for my life. But I saw one of them recently carrying his newborn son, and I was genuinely happy for him. He has the life he've always dreamed. But is not my life. And that's ok. As for you, keeo on working on your devotional life and sanctification, and don't lower your standards. A truly Godly man wilk treat you with love and kindness and you will feel safe with him.
How you can pray saying?? May be he is not meant for you and God has other plans??
@@UmwariC0DY well of course you can pray anything you want, but you know him well and you may know the things he needs prayer for. I just see it as a more constructive way to handle when those feelings come up rather than obsessing.

I broke up with my bf of 3 years and until then I was unsure about him being my life partner.
After breaking up, I started developing stronger feelings for him, so strong that I would tell people that I am engaged when in reality I was single but in my head we were together.
I loved him to death in his absence.
We had zero contact, in fact I didn't use my cellphone for 5 months. Didn't see each other on social media either.
I was loving him more and more each day.. but never knew if we would ever get back.
One fine day we just happened to talk and reconnected.. it had been 10 months by then since we hadn't heard about each other.
3-4 months later we were together again.
We have been together for 8 years now.. would get engaged this year..❤️

I also block someone whom I respect the most to whom I love most. Someone who inspired me most. He is one of the most wonderful human being for me I ever meet in my life. I believe if we are meant to be our relationship will find way. I am waiting for my dream day to get married with him❤😇

I to once fell in love with an imaginary character like god, it was Jessica Rabbit. But I grew up and realised how irrational I was as a child...it's weird when adults continue to do that to be honest
I have fought hard to stop loving my ex of 11 years after 18 years of marriage. He has remarried and that still doesn't stop the pain I feel. I have prayed dozens of times to remove the feelings because I know he wasn't right for me. He stood for things I abhor and detest. But I can't let the feelings go even though I really want to. I'm 70 years old now and don't have any prospects for love again but I don't want to have these feelings anymore. Please pray for me to forget this man.
Focus your prayer more on you. Pray for peace of mind, for your heart to be healed completely and to get closer to God. Keep your prayers on you, don't even mention him. Pray for guidance and order for your next steps. Pray for God to release you of any ties and bonds that are not of Him. In Jesus name. Amen.

Only Jesus can set you free. Pray for your deliverance. Begin to go to a Christian church and if you really want to let go and accept Jesus into your life which is the man who has truly been waiting for you then you will be free. But always ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the right church. What you have is a soul tie but you also have Jesus and he will set you free. I know he will.
4 weeks of no contact. I personally believe God wants us to work on ourselves individually, love ourselves and will rekindle our relationship and be stronger than ever the second time around.

But it’s not necessarily a bad thing. During this time I’ve grown so much especially in my faith, self development and with my patients.

I’ve come to the conclusion that God is still working on her and for good reason and I wouldn’t want to interfere with that. He’s working on her and he’s working on me still.

Lastly, I still have hope however I’ve created some really good questions for myself that have allowed me to not worry so much and just trust in God during this time that has made things 30x easier for me.

1. If your ex or whomever does come back today. Right now this very moment.. has there been enough time for you to make a drastic change or improvement since they left?

2. Ask yourself am “I” a better version of myself today than I was last time we were together.
3. Ask yourself Am “I” in a place where improvement is obvious to the other person as well?
4. Am “I” truly happy with myself. After this breakup. (When you look in the mirror are you proud of who you are/what you see?)
Basic questions but also tough. They make you look within ( even if you believe you were perfect in the relationship).

So for me, I’m well off as a single male but I’m not truly happy and not walking in my purpose (whatever that may be) and I don’t think I can make someone happy if I’m not complete within. I hope this makes sense and helps. It’s definitely saved me from sending a few texts or looking too hard into social media etc.

Been working at this gym for 2 years now. This girl was working part time in the pool, never thought twice about her. Was saved after my divorce. My prayer was to bring her back or allow me to let go. Over those few months He showed me that she would never change. Almost 10 years later, the same still holds true.

This has been a journey for me as well, as some of you have shared. I've had a crush on a beautiful woman for quite some time now. I opened myself to her, and she said it was beautiful that I am capable of expressing myself. Then she said that what is meant to be will be. We haven't talked in about 4 months, but i think of her all the time and just pray that she is happy and healthy. I've had 4 dreams about her, but not sure if they come from our Creator - or are just random dreams. In one of my dreams a beautiful woman appeared, and a voice told me - this woman in your dream is the same woman you like, she is your woman, but she is around the corner. I have no idea if this is coming from God or if my dreams are just random. I've learned to move on and just pray and wish her well every time I think of her. No expectations now, just complete trust in Christ. It would feel amazing to have her in my arms one day though.
Man I know how you're feeling rn. I haven't talked to the woman I've been thinking of in a while. I had a dream that she got in a car accident and needed money. Next time I talked to her, she said she was in a car accident. Then, I asked God if she's someone I should be with, could he have her appear in a dream and she did. Lol we don't know if it's God or just our dreams reflecting our thoughts.

It is probably, you and I, as well as many more who are trying to understand these same things. There is a section in Jeremiah, that says how God talks to us through our dreams. But I know how difficult it is to know which dreams are an actual message from above, and which ones are of our own making. I'm learning to pray more and more, and I think this is the purpose of these situations. To come closer to our Creator, and to also learn how to trust in him completely. Time will tell whether my dreams came from Christ or not. I've prayed that if this woman comes to me, that she may come with Christ in her heart, and in her hands. If she comes in this manner, I will know my prayers have been answered. Stay joyful cultivating the fruits of the spirit, my brother. This hits home so much. I was so mad that i started having feelings for this person because i didnt want to but we have SO much in common. I'm looking for a reason that this person isn't the right one so I can move on but its proving to be a difficult task. Idk if I need more information or more time to see how it will turn out

I have a peace from God either way but definitely want to make sure that I heed to His directive because this person and I do business' together and I don't want to mess up that aspect of it. It's funny because I am not in communication with the person, and we haven't actually had a real conversation, but my feelings are getting stronger. There's just something that pulls me towards this person. I'm pretty sure the feelings are mutual. But my real focus is God, when God says it's time He will make it happen. There was this girl I made a move on but she told me she wasn’t ready because she had a lot of struggle going on in her life, this was almost two years ago. The start of this year we started talking again and got closer because we both have been struggling with loss of family members. We went out a couple times even ended up holding hands which we’ve never done before. Then one day it all stopped once her aunt passed away. It’s been a few weeks since we last talked I just can’t seem to let go of the meaning of everything, deep down I still care for her and want the best but sometimes it’s overwhelming. I feel like it’s bad timing again

Train them up right, they won't be a permanent assessment. Spouses are not are purpose that's why we have to take it to the alter and ask God to bless this marriage that we only get one chance at. Two most important days of our life one, the day you were born and two the day you find out why. It is not our children nor are spouse. It's are purpose are calling. I know he is a good God but I just don’t understand why I’m not getting blessed like a lot of people I see. I can’t say I don’t believe because I have seen a lot of miracles in other people I know. He is real I just don’t understand him.
One night I told God that if weren't meant for each other I don't wanna see him anymore or heard his name to anyone but when the moment I was on my way to deactivate my account he chats me and still pops up to anywhere I don't know I don't wanna give myself a hope and another disappointment again

It’s weird. I pray one morning and your videos always pop up the very first things when I turn in this app in my current situation.
I’ve helped my crush significantly, but sadly, she’s with someone who doesn’t respect her and she can’t see that.
Me and her have built a great friendship until he had enough and told me to stop and she agreed but was saddened by it.
I prayed why because I cried and cried why.
Then these messages, at these times, “wait, now’s the wrong time.”
I did pray about it one time when I was calm, and I was at peace. But my answered prayers can sometime turn to doubt by my emotions.

I am requesting prayers over my current situation please. I have never been able to let go of my feelings for my ex wife. I believe the Lord spoke to me regarding she and I one day being back together, however I am struggling to remain patient. Prayers for this situation, for my patience to be strengthened, that her heart may be opened, and that the coming together of us one day again soon. Thank you. There's this friend I work with that I've been thinking about a lot. She knows how I feel about her, but she's also going through a very hard time and has experienced relationship trauma in the past. I asked that when she was ready for a relationship again that she would let me know, she told me yes. I would like to believe her and wait on her, but I also don't want to waste time not exploring other options.
It's hard, I've never met another woman like her, I have strong feelings for her and I'm convinced God is directing me towards her for a specific reason. It just might not be because she's the one. I don't even know if she even thinks of me even remotely close to the same way.

Hmmm, if she has relationship trauma and needs to heal that will take sometimes long time. Also someone with a lot of baggage is usually better off being single and getting healthy mentally before entering a relationship. Ask God for wisdom. He will guide you but also being with someone who has trauma can be very toxic. Be careful. Move on and explore other options

I really needed to hear this brother, was in a friendship which was i trusting the Lord that it would progress into courtship/ marriage but it did not turn out that way, and i think about this person almost everyday waiting to see what God does.

I loved someone with all my heart and was to be married, but I was too needy and pushed them away. I tried my best and was good intention but I made mistakes and they left me. This was right before the Covid pandemic and I did not get to see them again.
I felt such guilt and pain for two years and then prayed I would see them again to apologise. And low and behold that very week they were sat alone on a bench on my path to work eating lunch. I sat with them and was able to say sorry and get their forgiveness. We got along as old friends but sadly they didn’t show interest in restarting. I felt better for a time and then I had some hardships and sadness.. so I prayed again, I needed to see them again and have them back in my life. And the very next day I did, from a bus window and they were with someone new, smiling and happy.
My heart was destroyed and I thought it was a cruel joke. For two weeks. At which point I realised something. God had given me the chance to make peace. God had given me the time and solitude to work on myself and overcome my dependence on another. God had helped my ex and made them smile again. And God had shown me that it was time to forgive myself and move on. I prayed a third time, it was selfish but I asked for a blessing and good fortune for me.
And now a month later I have met someone new after 3 long years of hurt. In that time I have been promoted in my job. I have gained confidence. A much better understanding of love and attachment. I was taught lessons and I grew. And while I will not presume the new relationship is the one nor ever rule out reconciliation with my ex, I feel strongly that this is Gods plan for me right now. My faith was tested and throughout these years I haven’t always felt him, but whenever I’ve asked he’s given me what I needed ☺️.
I met this girl on social media we started talking and getting to know each other by hearing our testimony’s and this girl has really encouraged me to seek God than ever before reading his word daily and praying constantly throughout the day and singing praise and worship in the midst of all that I’ve began catching feelings about her so I had expressed to her about them she had apologized and told me she’s not ready yet but in the future she wants to be with me and she wants to take this time of being single strengthing her relationship with God than ever before like I have been as an example she told me she wants to have a strong relationship with God like I do with him since we last spoke I haven’t heard from her I’ve tried calling and texting to even leaving a few voicemails I don’t understand I’m confused what just happened when we last spoke everything seemed great it’s like she disappeared I just keep praying for her and I hear a voice tell me be patient she’ll come back just focus on me and that’s what I’m doing
This hit home really hard, I've been ignoring (better said: rejecting) my feelings for someone and we're very good friends to be honest and I'm somehow convinced that he has feelings for me also, I know because of the way he acts around me and what he does for me, I feel more than a friendship there. I've been trying to ignore it because I'm just so uncomfortable, I myself don't know how feelings and love work, I've never really cared for relationships. I've been praying about that for some time and I know, that it just doesn't happen overnight, I believe in process and that God has His plans and purposes🙏🏻I think, I don't know how to adress those feelings, I've never done that before. I'll continue praying and I'll always seek Jesus. This is so timely! There’s someone who I never dated but only interacted with them at the gym, and I’ve seemed to have “fallen” for this guy. I’ve prayed multiple times for the feelings to be taken away, but it’s been months and they’re still here. I’m not sure how God wants me to approach this, but I’ll pray about it soon.

I wouldn't have the knowledge or skills I have now if it weren't for it either. Not saying it doesn't feel screwed up, but how can I argue with things I barely understand. I couldn't have done better, I know that much.
This is a very painful journey. You move on yet you never forget them. Its like they aren't replaceable. The heart struggles to love someone else.

#1 is very convicting to me right now. There's currently a girl at my church I have strong feelings for. We spend a lot of time together, and many of my friends, pastor, and family agree that she's interested in me based on how they see us interact.
She recently got out of a bad relationship and I know she's going through a hard time. After I asked her out on a date, she said she wasn't ready to start dating again.
For clarity, I asked her if it was possible to ever be more than friends and if I could take her on a date once she was in a better position. She said that she wasn't sure, and was sorry she couldn't give me a better answer.
Really hoping I am taking the right path by waiting for her to heal, and still investing in a potential future relationship.
Even if the relationship doesn't happen, being an amazing friend will help bring healing to her and propel her towards Christ, as well as bring the possibility of relationship closer. All that matters is becoming like Jesus.
Also, just straight up ask God! He will give dreams and prophetic and direction. He is a Good Father that has the best one in store for you.

We know from 1 Corinthians that love is patient 😁 just be there for her and be her friend for now. Ive gone through a similar experience as her and healing and Jesus is definitely what she needs right now. It sounds like yes, healing is what she needs and wants! But that also hinders movement forward for you and her. Only time will tell and God will answer through what happens. Don't close other options if another woman is great. Shutting down other women is dangerous if you want one specific woman. You need to decide if you are willing to wait. As you wait, you will eventually see other great options or not. I would say right now move on, be content just being a friend, shes made it clear she is not wanting a relationship so that may not leave room for you both to get to know eachother either. My exes mean a lot to me though I know they might not know it. I’ve grown a lot slowly through each heart break. Maybe even more it what I’ve learned about myself after all of it. When I come up I will bring them up with me because they are good people who have been dealt hard hands. My hand hasn’t been easy but I’m waking up to my greater mission in life.

Also you can be attracted to someone to fulfill parental woundings… sometimes the longing for a romantic relationship is to fix old hurts we often aren’t aware of to be seen, heard, loved, accepted, valued etc… I think sometimes when you can’t let go of a person it’s also leading you to old wounds that need healing.
I know this is the case with me and one big reason why i crave true closeness with someone and acceptance and all that you have stated. Because i never got that from my own family and i live in constant wounds from them, old and in present too. It never ends and never gets better 😰😥 but i never found that one person for relationship who will give me all i never got from them. I doubt i ever will honestly. It's very sad and painful

Recently I was praying about this and the feelings won't go away. And the timing is just right because there is a situation in my life right now that can help me explore a relationship with a particular person. So, I was wondering what I should do and if should I accept the invitation to go to a place where I can get to know him better. I believe this is a confirmation of the Holy Spirit prompting me to go there and spend some time with him to see if there is a possibility for a deeper relationship to develop. Thank you so much! :)
