Everyone single human being is a beginner at anything and everything they have not yet tried. Practice, actually sticking those paws to the giiiiteer every single days for 1-3 hours even if all that comes out is random noise at first, is what makes you a player/musician. With enough time and patience you start to see where your fingers make certain sounds, how two or more notes creates a sound pattern that is either pleasing or not, and everyone knows a chord in harmony with itself from chaos and random jazz bologna. DO THIS OVER AND OVER until you no longer feel the tips of your fingers getting sore, nice and callused, but don't make them bleed JUST YET. Then, is you grab something sharp, peel off those suckers which, are tight, but strangely loose and Frikimseduchly attached to the ends of your fingers. Next, Bandage those babies up for awhile until the meat turns into a nice pink rose shade or, if your feelin' free fudge'n Willy in that thaaang, a bit purp de lurp. Lastly, you pick up a guitar and... wha-laa, you are a beginner again!?!?!?! whaaat?!?!

This is a great example of what a guitar player should (and only can) play when totally drunk. Nobody can forget the G shape... so while your head leans over the guitar, just before you faint or fall on the ground, lift your head and slide the same G shape a few frets down until you hear the C chord, then slide it 2 frets more and you get D... Brilliant!!! Then when you´re back in G, hit some basic hammer ons and pull offs you learned as a beginner. Amazing life hacks for guitar players who get drunk as hell but still want to impress someone!! (You always need a plan-B, remember?)
There's tunes like this that work for piano too. (No, this isn't about an ubiquitous YT ad.) In my youth, I played in bands. Often I played guitar, but I also played keys. One time decades later, I found myself at a party in the Pebble Beach home of a client. I was asked to play the piano. I had forgotten more tunes than I remembered. What I managed to do was make medleys of the recognizable parts of popular tunes from the '70's through the '80's. It worked! I must say it helps when other guests have been well-fed and 'watered'. It's easier to make a crowd happy when it's already happy. Good times!

Electrics can be set up, pick ups changed etc. But acoustics not so much. I have one I bought quite some years ago, nylon strings and not very expensive either. Got it to find out if I like nylon strings or not, as it happened I do. So I replaced it with a much better one which cost a lot more. So it sat in a cupboard for some years. I forgot about it until I found it clearing out the cupboard. Nearly threw it but then I thought no, let's see what I can do with it. So new machine heads, new bone nut and saddle and new quality strings. A fret polish and the scale length is pretty accurate to be fair. Sounded ok really for a cheapo. Bit bright for my liking though. So I experimented a bit tuning it to slightly different pitches or frequencies...I down loaded a fender tuner which has the facility for this. I found just 2 "pitches" lower than standard this thing actually sounded quite good. I put medium tension silver and blacks on it. I still play it now. It sits in the living room on a stand, kinda my couch knock about if you like. So this cheap guitar had a voice, I just had to find it.
@@ianrichardson3968 Dude, I'm making Jokes about Girls and using a Guitar as a Metaphor... YOU need to look up "Guitar Set Up" videos, to help you with your Guitar problems...
Can’t go wrong with “Wonderwall” lol. Is it cliche? Sure. Does everyone sing along and have fun? Every damn time, at least at the chorus. I don’t know the second verse myself lol
I don’t play ( and I play really well, for over 45 years) at parties or other large gatherings BECAUSE, even I can’t hear my acoustic guitar with all the background chattering by those who rather talk about stuff instead of listening to music. You want to hear me play, sit down and be quiet, or as a courtesy to those who want to listen, go someplace else to talk.
For a majority of audiences, I bet you can get a bunch of techniques and riffs under your belt within a year to appear to be really good, relatively easily. I was playing with a few buddies one time at a get together... (Just a little thing i remember if anyone wants to muse w me:) This guy beside me played something VERY DIFFICULT and we (musicians) all were a bit stunned (what he played was difficult but not flashy and on top of that, it was completely original). My friend musically retorted with a few Nirvana riffs that were like -first day you learn guitar you may learn this- type stuff (just to be funny and contrast the difficult stuff) and we laughed. A second later, a bystander said, "Wow you're much better than he is!" That's when we about died. You might think this person was simply a bit of a hater, etc... I'm not sure. I honestly believe that this man was seriously calling these power chord Nirvana loops more skillful than this other guy's subtle fingerpicking that none of the rest of us could do. Now, if it sounded better TO HIM, that's one thing. I have zero problem with htat. It's obviously about how he superimposed his lack of any understanding as objective truth. I guess this wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the fact that these types seem to be prone to condemning others with their doggedness. There are moments in life where you see certain behaviors in individuals that are like a glaring metaphor or some kind of a singular microcosmic illustration of a complete way of life - certain individuals being so ultrasure and secure with their vehement lack of understanding. I know I can be this way too. I guess all I can hope for is to not be hubristic? We're all allowed to let our egos run free so often that we've stopped recognizing when they're smudging the lenses of our perception. I wish I could somehow force myself to remain always oipen. sry... went too deep

Excellent video, thank you
You are welcome! Glad you liked it mate!
At the 4:30 mark are you hammering on the note?
Great lesson
Great lesson Tony , I was actually digging that chord progression you played in the last few seconds of the video !
Thanks a lot man! Have fun playing around with it. Cheers! 😊
Can’t go wrong with “Wonderwall” lol. Is it cliche? Sure. Does everyone sing along and have fun? Every damn time, at least at the chorus. I don’t know the second verse myself lol
Love the sound!
Thanks so much!!
Great idea! Thx mate! Cheers 🍻
No problem, mate! Cheers!
Thanks Tone😊
You're very welcome 😊

On the G spot playlist ;)
Another great lesson Tony, thanks from Clonmel, Ireland.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, amigo!
Which giitar is that? Sounds nice.
Nice to use in a blues progression since you use the 1, 4 and 5.
Oh my gosh you killed it! Two thumbs up subscription made a comment
Aw, that means a lot! Thank you! 👍👍
Less than 2 minutes in and I’m cracking up!😂
😂 Love it! Glad you're enjoying it! gotta keep things fun while learning!
Wich guitar you have? Very Nice ❤

You're very welcome man! Glad you enjoyed the lesson!
Great lesson, thank you.
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
For a majority of audiences, I bet you can get a bunch of techniques and riffs under your belt within a year to appear to be really good, relatively easily.
I was playing with a few buddies one time at a get together... (Just a little thing i remember if anyone wants to muse w me:)
This guy beside me played something VERY DIFFICULT and we (musicians) all were a bit stunned (what he played was difficult but not flashy and on top of that, it was completely original).
Im.glad you didmt play over the hills and far away😂😂😂.everyone plays that wrong!!😂😂😂 good vid thanks
