As an Electronic power equipment manufacturer, l loudly say to Mr Jayashankar..... Corrupted and irresponsible government offices and government officials make INDIA not suitable for " Make in India " Process. Many MSME have risked their savings and Ancestors assets in Make in India process by Modiji's insperations, but at the end of the day looses every thing by inefficient and corrupted government organizations from low to high level.

This problem is deeply entrenched into government servant's psyche. Someone said 90% of IAS officers are still left oriented. Just see what the highest court did few days ago! Shocking. Govt can do so much but bureaucrats stall actions and since there are no strict punishments for them and courts are like what they are, good honest hard working people like you face hardships. GOI is doing work to improve this but as I said officers implementing policies need to have nation first in their hearts or real fear of prosecution without undue help from courts. Instead of creating conditions for profitable manufacturing in india, Jaishankar is schooling businesses the nationalism..... Nationalism doesn't mean that businesses run in losses but manufacture in india..... Instead, u should question yourself about why government hasn't been able to even create conditions to attract businesses to make in india....... And lastly, Nationalism is a tool to mobilise fools and poors, elites don't run by the concept of nationalism....... And people who are schooling indian businesses to show nationalism, ask your government about why corruption still persists so much at every level, why such a bad infra, why extortionist police department, why trash everywhere, why no public spaces, why power cuts as soon as summer arrives, why roads have potholes, why footpath of every big city is used for vehicle parking, where are tax money going, why bureaucrats enjoy power to harass businessman, why waterlogged roads after even 1 hour of rain, why traffic jams in every big cities since long, why pollution everywhere, why so high crime, why so high property prices (even expensive than London and Dubai), why so high taxes on everything from petrol to gst to income.......... Businesses are here to do business, not to do charity in the name of nationalism...... Businesses are not here to make losses and lose all money...... Businesses will buy and move to those places where they get a good deal........ So stop schooling and look at yourself...... U can't even give licences without bribery and u want businesses to show nationalism........ Instead, show your nationalism and reduce taxes, give better quality of life, give better conditions, improve the rotten education system, where only rote learning is been taught to students......... Whole education system tests memory of students till college, instead of checking analytical skills and creativity........ That's why no AI and semiconductor companies from India......

Indian businesses generally chase short term goals and have no strategic vision. Not too mention an absolute lack of National pride.
To be fair to them Indian customers are also generally happy to patronise cheap products, regardless of Country of Origin or quality of the product. But in a Catch 22 situation of the first step had took be taken out of up to the business to do so.

Make India a country which is easy to do business in, ensure Govt officials are not corrupt, ensure transportation facilities for the smooth flow of goods and people, improve the quality of Govt schools, open up polytechnical institutes to train the workforce. Unless these basics are ensured, Indian companies will not be able to compete with Chinese ones.

Until now, it was done by Western Europe and the USA (people don't understand that the East and South of Europe is just a colony like all other non-Western countries?!!), and now it could happen that China or someone else takes over. It can't be like that. Balanced import-export should be agreed. Why should I import wheat, if I have it that I can sell? "And why would I go with that wheat to another country that also has the same ratio of wheat production, so that I would destroy their production, and in this way, without firing a bullet, a corporation can easily occupy a country". And after all, that's what's happening right now.

Its because Government is not doing enough for ease of doing business.. Its difficult to export products due to abnormally high turnaround times at ports, transportation cost and raw material costs are very expensive here in India. So importing certain goods is cheaper than sourcing it from within the country. Its easy to say this but many reforms are required to actually implement it. People are buying from China because they have no other option and because they want to produce and price their products in an affordable margin.
