India is non-West, but NOT anti-west! What a powerful statement!
On the other hand, Americans be like, "You're either with us or against us!".

    • @kaptainkc7415
      @kaptainkc7415 9 месяцев назад

The America might change that approach as the world become a multicentric place .
America can't deal with the problems of the whole world alone . They are doing the policing of the world for so many years are we all should thank them for that but they don't have to bear the burden alone .
They were alone and hence have to show a powerful side all the time so that nation keep respecting them and sometimes have to use a stick to discipline some which some people objected.
The times has changed this century will be the century of soft power and making allies .
As modi ji said this can't be an era of war .
As we have seen changes in society kids no longer wants to be beaten with sticks and the laws changes that make it illegal. Similarly the human rights are a big thing you can't discipline some country with military.
World is moving towards diplomacy where we do the talks and use soft power and economy and not war .
With a multipolar world this becomes easy .

America only says, "You're with us or against us," when it comes to terrorist organizations that every other country agrees to side against. There's a whole bunch of nations that are neutral and completely fine with U.S.

@@hamzamahmood9565i agree on that statement as an American. I think it comes from the post ww2 world order and international organizations that allowed for free flow trade and easier immigration among member nations.
Here in the US, Indian culture grew from massive immigration policies that even Indians became part of American sub culture of “owning 7-11s and becoming doctors and engineers” lol
What these western views look at and gets frustrated with India is that the country does not align itself with institutions to sanction and bring to form others. (Russia, Sanctions, BRICS) so they think… “we thought we were helping you and you don’t reciprocate”
That is the thinking in my opinion.
India only cares about Indias concerns… and there is nothing wrong with that thinking.
With that said, the U.S. is finally pulling out of the post ww2 globalization that allowed for such open borders and free flow trade.
The U.S. and specific countries are moving to an interest based model only as countries will have to start figuring things out on their own.
Just like India only cares about India’s needs, I really only care about American and north American needs and interests.
If we find common ground on things then great. The world is a great place and we can all get along… but the open border policies that allowed the amount of people to come, learn, leave, …I don’t care for and glad they are coming to an end.

India buying Russian oil is also benefiting the European countries.
If India stop buying oil from Russia there is no way we can catch up to China because Chinese buying Russian oil left and right .
India will have to increase the purchase from middle East countries which will only increase oil prices in both Europe and India .
India export excess Russian oil to Europe. So they have less guilt they they are not buying from Russia.

India was also one of the first to send rescue teams and help to Turkey and China during earthquakes in the past, despite the shaky relationships with the govt of these countries. Also during covid, India had sent vaccine aid to various countries. I do not wish to , but am compelled to mention these things when such comments are made. Whether one likes it or not, the world is engaged in a political power struggle. As Blinken said 'if you are not at the table negotiating , than you will end up on the menu'.
