    Hello Jason & Joanna-san; 🇯🇵
“I am a 92 year old Japanese man in Tokyo and my family and I are big fans of your fish keeping live streams, small scape and tank talk podcast with John
Mr Kentaro goes on to say:
“I am getting old now and you are guys are of the final RUclipsrs I will watch before old age gets to me and I pass on from this mortal world to the afterlife.
I hope this comment is never forgotten even when I am gone, when only my history remains and my flesh has gone back into the dust it was created out of.
Thank you for all the good memories you have provided to my family watching your content over the years”
Kiki - Translator and typist for Kentaro-san (92 year old Japanese guy) (he is to old to type and doesn’t speak good English)

Shocking to me, but here in my area (outside Minneapolis). There is a small store called Joes shrimp Shack. My hub visited and was impressed. I can’t wait to buy some shrimps from him. We already bought driftwood and plants from him. Love to support a small business.❤

Found something cool out about the red tiger lotus. If you don't give it bright enough light the leaves will be green but twice the size as they normally get.

We call midsummer and midwinter the way we do as hangovers from the Celtic calendar. We currently define the season change by the solstice or equinox, but the celts defined them by the day midway between solstice and equinox. Traditionally, May Day (Beltane) would be the 1st day of summer. The end of July/early August (lughnasadh) would be the start of autumn. Halloween (Samhain) was the 1st day of winter (Minnesota gets this perfect with Halloween snowfall). And Groundhog's Day (Imbolc) would be the 1st day of spring (note it's 6 weeks between Groundhog's day and the spring equinox. It's very likely that the idea of Groundhog's Day was an arbitrary way of picking which spring definition to use.)

I loved my pea puffer in my 15 gallon column tank. Really fun to watch him helicopter all over the tank when he saw me start to walk towards the tank. Definitely used the entire water column.

I have kuhli loaches in my community tank that hang out in the open during daylight, what worked for me was TONS of caves and plants for em to hide in so theyr never more than 1 dart away from hiddden if they get startled, on top of that i have a larger school of 12 and they really started coming out a lot more once i added the last 4 so somewhere around 10-12 seems to be their group size to really feel safe

You mentioned you think Summer should begin June 1st and Winter , December 1st. Here in Australia, seasons do work that way, but in reverse! 😀 Summer begins December 1st, Winter June 1st.

"Duckweed is the headlice of aquariums" that is one of the greatest things I've ever heard! Definitely won't be able to get that out of my head ever! 😂😂

You indicated to introduce stock to a new tank “slowly”. I am about to embark on my first aquarium setup (20 tall). How long should I wait in between adding new stock into that environment? I really love your content. Very helpful for a newbie.

You can add a few fish when you set up the tank as long as you add live nitrifying bacteria (Fritzyme 7). After that I wait 2-3 weeks to add more fish.

It can be tough to put fish with tiger barbs in that size tank? Maybe some green and albino aenus cory cats?
