You're a solid 10/10. You're eloquent, confident, speak well, video is well produced, music didn't take focus away from your speaking, well dressed, & had me hanging on your every word. You're everything I want to be in front of the camera. Well done!
GAMEBOY! Unbelievable production quality on this one, man! That floating text while you're demonstrating the keyboard sound was sooooooooo sweet. Fav thing is that Govee Glide. Can't wait to see where you take this channel this year, thanks for creating and sharing with us!
I know I’m coming to your video rather late, but I absolutely love watching all the desk set up videos. I am just starting out a second career after serving 26 years in the military. Getting back in the game of being creative is exciting and videos like yours certainly help set my frame of mind. I am a creative at heart and a bit of a gamer. I don’t think I would consider myself a game boy just yet!
Gameboy! I really like the LED light set up you have going on. I appreciate the clean and minimalist look as well. Looking forward to more videos on your channel.
Thanks for the inspiration on the desk. I went with a similar design but I cut 2 ft off the 8ft top and then joined the piece in an L shape with some dowels and glue. Also for your risers Im still looking for something I like, but a tip for yours would be to use pan head instead of oval screws. Thanks again.
Game boy! So good to see another video from you, and this one was great. So many ideas I want to implement in my own set up. Just need the funds 😂 Awesome lighting, and I love the wood aesthetic. Dope set up man.
Gameboy. Walnut is such a nice color. Got my ikea desk in a tan color (cant remember the exact name of it) and just installed standing legs today. Checking desk set ups for more ideas on how to improve my set up
Gameboy 🥳 Excited to see what 2022 has in store for you, Luke - you’re off to a great start! P.s. I would love to see a video about the standalone camera mount 👀
My setup is very similar to yours but how do your Govee led strips behind your desk not reflect dots of light on the wall. Did you add anything to diffuse the light?
Thank you for having a Steelcase Leap chair - so tired of youtubers having a secret labs “gaming” chair and then 4-6 months later have youtubers complain about ergonomics
Gameboy! Bro that is such a nice setup, well done! Also any idea if there is a way to get hold of just the keycaps from the iquinox? I love the way they look and would go well with my setup.
Mine has a little roughness as well. But I like it like that. Makes it feel more real wood, which it is. I use a leather desk pad for my mouse. Thinking about getting one from Grovemade.
I actually thought about this, but the weight displacement of drilling the risers into the table instead of the drawers, would have made the desk less stable. Especially since there is nothing anchoring the desk to the drawers except for gravity.
Is the Alex and Karlby combo WITHOUT the leg stands still too high for shorter people? 5'6 or shorter? Just wondering would a KARLBY and HELMER combo work? Helmer is 26" high without castors but would 2 of these support the Karlby?
I don’t think it’s too high, I’m 5’8 and I have the 2 inch risers and it’s perfect. I think without the risers you would be fine. Also I don’t see why the helmer drawers wouldn’t work.
I wouldn’t say it scratches easily at all, it definitely can get scuffed, but it’s a solid wood on top of a pretty sturdy particle board wood. So there is at least an inch or so of thickness on the top.
the risers are screwed to the Alex Drawer, but the karlby countertop is just held down by gravity. It honestly doesn't really move at all with everything on it unless you really push it.
I screen recorded myself typing, while recording on my camera. Then I overlayed the screen recording on top of the footage of me typing. The site I recorded is monkeytype.com
Hey awesome setup. How do u move the desk back after put everything together and cable management? Doesn’t move from the raiser when u move the desk? Or u do cabling while the desk already against wall?
Yes, exactly. There weight of the countertop is already so heavy it doesn’t really move around. Although if you wanted you could add some rubber pads to the furniture risers, and that would really keep it from moving.
imma have to give you a 7/10 but only because i have an extremely simular setup, and I am ready for a change. You asked me 2 years ago though, easy 9/10. Well done...
i don't really think u should use 2 mouse pads bcz its going against aesthetic ( what u should do is remove the keyboards mouse pad) thats it it would look more clean. thanks :)
The bar in the middle is very unnecessary. The Bowing really only happens with their linmon top and you don’t have the weight that would even bow that.
Funny you should mention that. Initially I had built the desk without the bar, but over the course of about 2 weeks it started sagging in the middle. It’s been almost a year since I initially added the bar there’s been no sagging at all.
So Cool!! Hi, I’m a university student in Japan and I love watching “room tour” videos abroad. Is it possible to introduce your video on my youtube, etc(could be monetized)? Mainly, I’ll summarize your video and put explanations in Japanese.
Very well produced video IMO! Keep it up man!
Thank you my man!

Thank you! FYI I just uploaded another desk setup video!
I stopped at walnut stuffs.... entire video is just a sponsored adverts
I know this is a bit late, but mind telling my the length and width of that karlby countertop? And maybe a link added to that? Thanks alot
He said in the video. It’s the 98”.
Dream setup 😍
Glad to see you back in the mix.
Thanks man!!

YOOO, thank you Luke!!! Means a lot! 👊🏻
That riser idea is Fire!
I can't believe this video only has 90k views. Production value is insane.
Thank you! I've got another desk setup video update coming soon!
Thanks for sharing. I want to setup my office setup like the one shown. I will be only using mine for zoom and some live streaming.
Gameboy
This is a nice and cosy setup. I can feel, that you love to stay for hours in this place.
Great video man. Production quality out of this world
Thank you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Super clean setup. Inspiring me to setup a single space for editing, creating, gaming. I like this a lot.

Thanks for keeping this family friendly 4:52 lol
Haha, I gotta keep my content monetizable lol
Gameboy! Man, your setup gave me some great ideas for my future setup, mainly when it comes to lighting! great great great stuff!
Hey thanks man, that's great to hear!
came from facebook, this is so clean man!!
Thank you!!
Great video Man. Really enjoyed checking out your set up.
Much appreciated 🙏🏻👊🏻
The g305 is truely a bang for buck, I play games without the back shell and its 76gram like that, truly my favorite weapon for fps.
It’s underrated for sure
Gameboy! I really like the LED light set up you have going on. I appreciate the clean and minimalist look as well. Looking forward to more videos on your channel.

Thanks man! I actually did use pan head but not the right size which is why they stick out a little.
If you don’t mind me asking where did you cut your table top?
Gameboy ^_^ definitely the bluetooth speaker so kawaiiiiiiii
Game boy! So good to see another video from you, and this one was great.
So many ideas I want to implement in my own set up. Just need the funds 😂
Awesome lighting, and I love the wood aesthetic. Dope set up man.
Yo thanks Adam!!
Gameboy! Dope setup man, every piece is very cool and useful imo.
Appreciate the support!! 🙏🏻
gameboy hehe. happy to see another vid!!
Amazing 👏👏, what setting you use for this good quality? thank you!
Gameboy. Walnut is such a nice color. Got my ikea desk in a tan color (cant remember the exact name of it) and just installed standing legs today. Checking desk set ups for more ideas on how to improve my set up
That tan butcher block is also very clean! Thanks for watching, and good luck with the setup.
8:04 yes, definitely! amazing video, glad you're black :)
Thank you man!
Gameboy. Really clean and unique setup I enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Thank you!!
Looks good I like it. 8.8/10.
Looks great, dude!
Thanks man!!
Talk about clean talking head 👌🏾
Appreciate it my guy 👊🏻
Here in Germany Grovemade doesn't exist or at least kinda complicated to get them. I don't get why so little views, your setup is really cool.
Oh thats frustrating. Thank you though!
I believe Grovemade is based in Portland, Oregon. I wish they would sell their stuff on Amazon.
Gameboy 🥳 Excited to see what 2022 has in store for you, Luke - you’re off to a great start!
P.s. I would love to see a video about the standalone camera mount 👀
YO! Thank you Carter!!!! 👊🏻
LAYS
Love it and love the keyboard
Thank you so much!
What a great video, then i noticed you have ONLY 12k subs 😨 you deserve many more!
I really appreciate that! FYI I just uploaded another desk setup video!
Welcome back@
Thanks
Amazing home office my dude! How often do you upgrade your setup?
Thank you 🙏🏻
I tend to upgrade my setup every 2-3 years or so.
Nice desk setup!
How do I achieve that beautiful orange/yellow and that blue? I'm using Philips hue products do you have RGB codes or Kelvin numbers?
My setup is very similar to yours but how do your Govee led strips behind your desk not reflect dots of light on the wall. Did you add anything to diffuse the light?
You have to make sure there is a good amount of space between the back of your desk and the wall. I didn’t use any diffusion or anything
You did not mention the wall color?
Looks really relaxing
Can i know the link for neon tubes plz?
Govee Glide LED: geni.us/GoveeGlideRGB
Thank you for having a Steelcase Leap chair - so tired of youtubers having a secret labs “gaming” chair and then 4-6 months later have youtubers complain about ergonomics
What's that thing between drawer and the table top?
Where I can get this digital retro clock? Thanks 💪
are you sitting or standing while filming?
For this video I was sitting
Gameboy! Bro that is such a nice setup, well done! Also any idea if there is a way to get hold of just the keycaps from the iquinox? I love the way they look and would go well with my setup.
Thanks so much! You can actually find similar key caps on their site: iqunix.store/products/f96-keycaps
@@LukePollack Thank you bro!
Nice Setup
Appreciate it 👊🏻
Your chair is actually a steelcase leap v2. The v1 has a thicker rounded armpad and cushion.
Yeah you’re totally right, I completely missed that when I was looking at my chair. Still a great chair
Are those headphones wireless?
Unfortunately they are not
this is nice i subbed
Great setup, nice clean setup. Just curious how’s the matrix coil cable for the keyboard.
It's okay, the coils are pretty uniform, but the cable isn’t as nice as a premium coiled cable
@@LukePollack thanks for the reply. I actually went with the cablemod cables earlier. They were within my budget. Thanks again for the help.
Great choice, No problem!
what carpet are you using?
It’s this one!

did you anything to smooth out the karlby? mine feels a bit rough and it doesnt feel like a smooth glossy countertop like i expected
Actually I didn't, I don’t believe its supposed to feel glossy, although you can add some mineral oil to it, or some wood finisher.
Mine has a little roughness as well. But I like it like that. Makes it feel more real wood, which it is. I use a leather desk pad for my mouse. Thinking about getting one from Grovemade.
I used Sparrow Peak Butcher Block for my desk. Real wood for the same price of Karlby
Oh that's interesting, good to know for the future!
Where is this Iphone wallpaper from?
why not drill the furniture risers into the table and not ruin the alex drawers?
I actually thought about this, but the weight displacement of drilling the risers into the table instead of the drawers, would have made the desk less stable. Especially since there is nothing anchoring the desk to the drawers except for gravity.
Is that an Apple logo you’ve stuck on the PC case?
Haha yes
Is the Alex and Karlby combo WITHOUT the leg stands still too high for shorter people? 5'6 or shorter? Just wondering would a KARLBY and HELMER combo work? Helmer is 26" high without castors but would 2 of these support the Karlby?
I don’t think it’s too high, I’m 5’8 and I have the 2 inch risers and it’s perfect. I think without the risers you would be fine. Also I don’t see why the helmer drawers wouldn’t work.
hi is this version of the desk a wood peace or walnut veneer?
Does it scratch easily?
I wouldn’t say it scratches easily at all, it definitely can get scuffed, but it’s a solid wood on top of a pretty sturdy particle board wood. So there is at least an inch or so of thickness on the top.
I see the risers are screwed to the Alex Drawer, but are the risers also screwed or somehow else adhered to the countertop itself?
the risers are screwed to the Alex Drawer, but the karlby countertop is just held down by gravity. It honestly doesn't really move at all with everything on it unless you really push it.
Please may I ask how you created the typing effect at 9:53 ? Thank you
I screen recorded myself typing, while recording on my camera.
I did all the cabling once the desk was fully setup against the wall
Hello , Congratulations. I love it all. 👍👊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏. Excellent. 👍 Awesome. Someday, I would have it anytime.
How do you keep the countertop from sliding off of the desk risers? Does it just sit on top of the risers and let gravity be the anchor...
Well done...

i don't really think u should use 2 mouse pads bcz its going against aesthetic ( what u should do is remove the keyboards mouse pad)

Do you have the 8ft length?

Nice video! Nice Edit. Keep Going! I just dont like the setup and promotions, sorry. 👀
Thanks for the feedback! What could I be doing differently?
Gameboy- you didn't talk about your pc :(
Thanks for watching. Yeah I decided it wasn't worth it, because nothing has changed since I showcased my pc in my last desk setup video.
Aye you take my hoodie off wtf lol
Haha got the same one?
@@LukePollack yerp lol. It’s pretty dope and very comfortable!
For sure man! It’s clean 🧼
You should really get a wrist rest with the keyboard
That’s a good point. I’ve been meaning to do that, any recommendations?
For a prebuilt Keyboard, it looks great but the sound is meh...
Yeah I’ll be honest it’s a little hollow at times. I think that’s due to the brown switches I was using
