My boyfriend and I really needed this video! We have such a hard time planning everything and gathering inspiration for our farm! Thank you for this! (:
I scrolled through a lot of comments and I'm surprised nobody said this yet! You can use either the book in the Wizard's Tower (where you build Junimo huts) or Robin's build menu to move your greenhouse after it's restored! I love having it right next to my regular farmhouse.
I did this and then needed wood, but Robin would just NEVER give me the quest to gather wood so I kept having to buy wood from her so I still had plenty of trees to cut down when she finally did offer it.
pro tip: you can use that grass for food for your animals! place some in the area that you keep them and you wont need to keep feeding them hay, only on rainy days and in winter
If you plant grass by your barn/coop, throw a few lightning rods down on the grass starters. Animals can eat the grass around the rod, but they’ll never completely eat it. Then it acts like a perpetual food source and grass starter.
Some tips: would recommend getting mods that allow you to see the area that the scarecrows will cover One junimo hut can cover roughly 3 iridium sprinklers horizontally and vertically (75x75 tiles) if you like automated farming If you want more space on the farm for actual crops or animals or slime hutches, plant tree seeds in the desert (trees will fully grow there and can be sapped!) A good passive way to make more money is also crystalarium farm producing constant diamonds every couple days. Finally, a fully upgraded shed can be used to farm off season crops like pineapple using clay pots and deluxe water retaining soil
@@prettyprincess8187 You probably already know this by now, but if not and for those who don’t know/understand, you can only mod Stardew and other games only on PC. The reason being is because on PC, games have an accessible, “main trajectory folder”, that stores all the coding within the files of the game itself that the user can access and change. “Not all games on pc allows access to change, it depends on if the devs allow it or not”. Inside these main folders are a heck ton of different coding and the codes work independent from one another and are all responsible for pretty much every single aspect of the game. Some examples, there is a code that is responsible for how many days it takes certain crops to grow. Another example would be, there is a code that is responsible for how long days and nights in game could take. So to describe mods as understandable as I can, modding the game means you’re changing the coding around and when you download mods, you’re just using a software that changes the coding for you automatically. So with all that said, switch and every other console/device, besides PC, can not have mods being that there is no way of accessing the main trajectory of the game. The only way console could have, “Mods”, is if the dev made them in game features. (: sorry I know that was a lot, but that’s why the answer to your question is no 😌
i started playing stardew recently so i've been watching videos in preparation for when i feel ready to decorate my farm and this was really helpful ! thank you ! ^U^ you also seem really sweet, and i love how you reply to every comment ! i'll definitely be watching more of your videos
Welcome into Stardew Valley! You're going to have a ball of a time :D And thank you so much for the support! Reading amazing comments like this makes my day. Good luck on your adventures~
Place a grass starter under fences to prevent animals from eating it, and it will still grow, so you'll have permanent grass patches for your animals and will get more happiness points with them
Guys, I recommend updating the farm only in winter. Basically I like to keep one design for one year, and change it later. The reason I do it during winter is because i don't have to destroy my crops/have to replant just to redesign the farm. :P And, since I'm planning for Spring most of the time I can keep the design and not have to worry. Hate how fences erode though so I use them scarcely so I don't waste resources. ^^
Winter is DEFINITELY a time to upgrade/renovate/change your farm! I also hate fence erosion and tend to leave an empty space for them now until I get the golden clock!
You're a wizard! My farm looks a mess and when I tell you, I literally jaw dropped with the sprinkler and tree tip?? I'm gonna chop down most of my trees and re plant them when I get home.
I just recently got super into Stardew, and my biggest thing was efficiency and aesthetics. I wanted an organized but cute farm. This video really helped me out! I never really went the pathing out method, I usually just placed pathing when I already put stuff down. I'm super excited to try this out, especially on the different maps!!
I'm using your tree layout & I was like why do mine look so big. Now I see. Time to start over & lay down a path after planting. Thanks for mentioning that part.
Stardew noob here! I've been wondering for days how to design my farm (once I have enough money that is) and your format is really great! I especially like streamlining the walkway as to visualize where to place stuff. But! I wasn't aware of the shed, which I think will be an absolutely great addition. Thanks for this~! Much love ♡
Thank you for helping this Stardew Valley noob with some tips and ideas, started playing just yesterday, and while I’m pretty game smarts it was a little overwhelming with all the land while trying to learn the game, so I appreciate it much love!💚
This is an efficient way of decorating your farm.. Will try this one when I start a new save. I just started playing like more than 3 weeks ago.. I like putting trees, grasses and decorations haphazardly on some spaces around my farm. I made a huge geometric 'park' in the center (pavements really do wonders), with flower patches, trees, apiaries and other decorations.. The use of space is not the most efficient though, as I chose the 'Forest' area as my starter farm, I had a hard time managing the space as I also kept a patch of forest in the west side of my house. Lol. I'm really enjoying this game right now
I'm just patiently waiting for the mobile update for the game-- that way, I would feel decisive of my plans! Pathways and fences are very important in beautifying the farm. Destroyable items like tree stumps, logs, and large rocks can also be used for designing. I often take considerations if I should loot those three items because it could be use to beautify my farm instead. In my farm, I left the stump alone because it looked like I could use it as an outdoor "cottagecore" table. I definitely regretted it when I chopped down the log and destroyed the rock...
That's a smart way to use them, although sometimes they can get in the way. It was smart to remove them, maybe you'll find furniture that you'd prefer to have outside :D
It's my 1st time to play Stardew Valley and I got a bit overwhelmed because of so many things! Your video greatly helped me to see how I'm going to start my farm design. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Very helpful. 💖
OMG what a great video! This was exactly what I was looking for! Very beginner friendly! I'm in my first playthrough and I was overwhelmed with all the 10 year farm tours! This was so educational as well as entertaining!
Thank you for this guide! I have been using weathered paths all over my farm but I completely forgot about fences and half of the farm is still grass. I’m going to remember this when I log on soon
Winter is your friend. You can move everything around without spoiling your crops. Robin will gladly move buildings for you (or the wizard can if you've finished the community center). Moving fruit trees is a bit more of a hassle, but everything else can be shuffled around like the cards in a deck.
@@nizidafabie Oh, nice, nothing to worry about then. It's a bit more stress to chop down a fruit tree that bears gold-star fruit, as it takes two years to grow back to that stage. But the rest of the farm (except the house and I think the greenhouse) can readily be moved around, and winter is a very convenient time to do so.
Hi Fuzzireno! This video was incredibly helpful. I was upset with how my farm was looking and was really struggling to work out a layout that works for me and also looks good. I was able to follow this and now my farm looks great, and I'm so happy with it. Thank you so much ❤😊
Look up riverland farm tours. My tip is to not make your paths too wide and to only have trees and fruit trees on the edge of the islands and behind your house. You also don't need to use a lot of fences. Tapped trees can be placed outside your farm. Animals are a bit difficult to have because of the lack of grass space but I kept my barn and coop anyway. The slime hutch takes up the most space so only get it if you really want to. I decorated my farm with fruit trees, cabins, paths, small decorative items and a few fences.
For some reason I find it harder to decorate bigger farms (like the standard farm), but I can decorate the riverland farm with ease. I think it may be my favorite farm type.
I got done with the first year before I saw your video and not only am I kicking myself for not following this layout sooner, but also for not getting a shed sooner! I really underestimated how useful it is to have a space where you can put all your processing equipment until I had too much of it surrounding my house, and then I was like "Holy shit, game changer"
I've been playing for a while, and while wasteful I found that if you want to go the multiple coop/barn route you can actually line them neatly along the bottom with room for multiple silos on the left side of the farm (where I put my coops) and have a barn/coop for each animal not including slime
@@fighterflight once you have approximately 90+ kegs making ancient fruit wine every 7 days. Which will bring you $200,000 every 7 days. You'll find the time and money. My struggle right now is making space to move my buildings to design my farm
wow, so gorgeous. i usually place all my stuff before doing the pathways but i think next game i will defo try to put the path down first. i also love to put decorative crops, like the sunflowers, and keep them until the end of the season just to add some spice to my farm.
I started playing like a month ago and my current farm didn't looked very good (or at least maybe because I didn't used a lot of space). Now I have some better examples of how to create way better farms! You first do a layout of the tiles you want to use, then you start adding the buildings and decorate. It's really not that difficult, but I thought it was. Thank you a lot! I'm currently gonna try to redo the farm, as well as removing everything that is on the farm. Again, thank you a lot for these tips!!
I'm new to Stardew Valley and kept starting and stopping before spring ended in the game because I felt confused and like I was never really doing anything efficiently or even remotely well. This channel has helped inspire me with how I can do things like layouts, what I should keep in mind while playing, and generally, etc. Maybe with this video I can figure out how to design my farm, but that might just be something I'll focus on for year two or three.
I like to make small forests in my farm using Trees and Grass and then make pathways through them 🙂 just for an added look you can put campfires and log decorations.
been playing off n on doing everything in the game but the only thing i havnt done was actually have a layout for my farm its over ran by mahogony n mushrooms lol. glad i ran into this vid def gonna use a few of these tips thanx this def will help my game for wen i start cooking everything
Thanks for this video I'm been going part crazy thinking about how I was going to decorate my farm, I'm only in my second year though, but this will be my farm goal for year 3
I'm decorating my farm as of late, and I decided to have my sheds arranged in a sort of neighborhood with a comunal dining spot in the middle, so i put two sheds at the right, two at the left, and in the middle i made a tiny area with some cute flooring, wood braziers (that you can get by closing and reopening Robin's shop), some tables/chairs and Junimo plushies so the kids could play there as well It looks very cute if i do say so myself
I know I'm a little late but this video is timeless. I took these awesome and basic ideas and designed my own farm with little modification. You have helped me a lot, thank you so much! 🥰
this is sooo helpful! thank you so much 😭 i’m on year 3 and some are year 4 and been restarting a lot coz i wasn’t satisfied with my design coz it’s all over the place
Thank you so much, I’m more of an explorer type of player, I got monster hunting, mining and fishing but I don’t take much time for my farms design so thank you so much!
This has been so helpful, you have no idea!! I love how you explained how to set the layout from the very beginning. Brb, gotta go make a lot of stone floor pieces :D Thank you
You said you used Mahogany for decoration but you can also put a tapper on them to produce sap, and said sap can be used to make fertilizer. I also found that IF you do want a slime hutch, you can fit it in the fenced area with the barn and coop if you move the top fence gate 1 block over to the left.
Hi Fuzz!! I just found your channel and its amazing and this video is so helpful! I was wondering if you could post on the community tab or have a bit more of a walk through here we could see the whole farm in case we want to use it ❤❤❤
Fence degradation a problem? Use lightning rods for fencing;) Also use production items for boundries....mayo machines and cheese press as "fencing" around the animals. If you are going with shed crops with pots, plant rehavestables like blueberries and strawberries. ❤
Love this, thank you! I have oodles of gold now and I'm looking to redesign my farm. I definitely wasn't worried about the design to start - usually I wasn't prepared for the size of building I was purchasing so there weren't many locations available. I have been hesitant to move things around since I would lose fruit trees but I can buy more! Thanks for the ideas.
Yess these are all great ideas! Fruiy trees can always grow back, and I've redesigned my farms so many times, just because I didn't like the layout. I hope you make your farm look fabulous :D
I just get so overwhelmed with the amount of space 😭 I love a sort of cluttered look, so it just makes me want to cry. I need to spot choosing standard farm.
Nicely done, I started a week ago. Haven’t really placed anything permanently yet just more of the hustle and bustle to get enough money and make enough progress to open the community center and get Breyer weapons etc. I’m thinking of an outside orchard and a duck house near the pond. I have placed a few stone paths just to have a consistent unobstructed place to walk.
I decided to start playing sv again after a year long break. I was never good with organization or anything so this video is definitely a massive help. on a side note, you have a very nice voice. idk what it is but I really like the way you speak. thanks for the video !
I started Playing this game a few months ago, very fun game. Thx for the tips! Really helps out. Although I wanted to create my dream farm faster, I used some Mods to help me get there faster, even though it spoiled the game for me a bit. But I'm starting to play again! Thanks again for the Tips!
I didn't know that decorating the farm was that easy! I am planning to decorate it later because I am poor in Stardew Valley right now and I will make the farm like seasonal (Just the crops and the flowers because that will be too much work for 1 month in stardew valley)
I prefer 4 iridium and 8 quality sprinklers for the greenhouse, 4 qs on each side to keep it balanced. It doesn't take up any extra growing space compared to 6 iridium and is cheaper on iridium/Krobus money. Alternatively, Deluxe retaining soil recipe from Ginger island. Especially recommended for regrow crops (Ancient fruit, pineapple) Will give you the full 120 spaces for basically ever.
One thing I would add, in your barn and coop area, place a patch of grass and a lightning rod in it. This makes it so your animals will “eat” the grass but it won’t disappear, so it will still spread and you won’t have to replant grass more than once a year.
You can do the same with a fence as well! Although sometimes in my playthroughs it has been buggy and the animals won't eat it. Great suggestion though!
Really cute farm, love how you decorated it! I only wondered about the fact that your animals don't have any grass. I always make sure they have a lot of grass so am wondering if the hearts build just as quickly even without the grass. Although, tbh, I haven't ever really kept track of how fast they build with the availability of grass. So, maybe I should try it both ways and keep track.😁 Oh! And I noticed you were riding a horse but never noticed where you put the stable. Guess I need to rewatch and pay more attention.😂
This is great! As a first long playthrough, I look at farm tours, and it gives me anxiety. Lol. P.S. - yes! Plant lots of oak trees! I've had my greenhouse up and going with ancient fruit and fruit trees for a while and am struggling with kegs now. I wish someone sold oak resin!
I nearly lost my voice when recording this video, so my bad if my voice is all over the place 🙃

It's really not that difficult, but I thought it was. Thank you a lot! I'm currently gonna try to redo the farm, as well as removing everything that is on the farm. Again, thank you a lot for these tips!!
You're welcome! I'm glad you got some ideas from this video. Happy designing :D
i really love the way ypu explained stuffs, it's just straight to the point and really detailed
Great design tips video for beginners! And so relaxing to watch :) Also I love your blouse :D
Glad you found this video helpful! I wish you all the best in your endeavors :D
I like to make small forests in my farm using Trees and Grass and then make pathways through them 🙂 just for an added look you can put campfires and log decorations.
I love this, this is a great idea!
I hate regular trees on a farm. You try to plan out a nice setup and in order to keep it that way you have to seed clear every other day.
been playing off n on doing everything in the game but the only thing i havnt done was actually have a layout for my farm its over ran by mahogony n mushrooms lol. glad i ran into this vid def gonna use a few of these tips thanx this def will help my game for wen i start cooking everything
now i jut need to organize all my chests lol
Thanks for this video I'm been going part crazy thinking about how I was going to decorate my farm, I'm only in my second year though, but this will be my farm goal for year 3
Yay I'mglad it helped! I hope your farm looks fabulous :D
@@Fuzzireno Thanks a lot ❤️❤️❤️
I'm decorating my farm as of late, and I decided to have my sheds arranged in a sort of neighborhood with a comunal dining spot in the middle, so i put two sheds at the right, two at the left, and in the middle i made a tiny area with some cute flooring, wood braziers (that you can get by closing and reopening Robin's shop), some tables/chairs and Junimo plushies so the kids could play there as well
It looks very cute if i do say so myself
I know I'm a little late but this video is timeless. I took these awesome and basic ideas and designed my own farm with little modification. You have helped me a lot, thank you so much! 🥰
Really glad the video helped you out!
I LOVE THIS!!!! Thank you, i dont think i ever hit a sub button so fast. Wonderful video it has helped so much!
I really love this tutorial. It was super cool to see different possibilities for layout. Thank you so much!
This design makes the farm look more expansive. Very cool.
i like this bc this feels the most doable of all the farm layout vids i watched even tho i have the forest farm!
As a fairly newbie to Stardew Valley, I really appreciated this video - thank you !
Glad it was helpful!
this is sooo helpful! thank you so much 😭 i’m on year 3 and some are year 4 and been restarting a lot coz i wasn’t satisfied with my design coz it’s all over the place
You're very welcome! I'm really glad the video inspired you :D
I've been looking for a video like this but never found one, thank you so much! This will be so helpful!
Yay! I'm glad you found it, and it was helpful :D
I love the formatting/editing of this video, and I love that shirt 🥺
I love this comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the video :D
I usually play on PC but got Stardew on my switch recently and I feel so unsure of how to set up my farm 😭 this helped so much, thank you!
OMG LOVE IT! Thank you for giving me some inspiration for my farm 🖤
You're so welcome! Good luck with making your farm look pretty :D
People often miss that you can actually move any building, including your own house and the green house! Could be useful when designing your farm :]
Thank you so much, I’m more of an explorer type of player, I got monster hunting, mining and fishing but I don’t take much time for my farms design so thank you so much!
Glad I could help!
Just started with my farm! This looks so good, thank you! 💖
Always love ur tips. They're always so useful. Thank so so much🥰❤️
Glad you enjoyed the video!
First video I watched from this channel, her vibes are so nice!
Really glad you enjoyed the vibes :D
This layout looks super nice, I’m going to build my farm based off of this, thanks for the inspiration!
🥺 can't wait to transform my lil farm!! Thanks for the advice!!
You got this Dicey, woo!
This has been so helpful, you have no idea!! I love how you explained how to set the layout from the very beginning. Brb, gotta go make a lot of stone floor pieces :D Thank you
You are so welcome!
This farm is so cute and your video is really helpful and well made, thanks!!! 💜💜💜
Aww thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video :D
Thanks for this video! The video is good, easy to understand and help me make my farm layout far better.
I'm really glad it helped, glad you enjoyed the video :D
You said you used Mahogany for decoration but you can also put a tapper on them to produce sap, and said sap can be used to make fertilizer. I also found that IF you do want a slime hutch, you can fit it in the fenced area with the barn and coop if you move the top fence gate 1 block over to the left.
thanks for some inspiration!
love to see the pattern of tree that you planted✨
Hi Fuzz!! I just found your channel and its amazing and this video is so helpful! I was wondering if you could post on the community tab or have a bit more of a walk through here we could see the whole farm in case we want to use it ❤❤❤
Wow. Thank you. I've played Stardew on and off for a few years but my farm always looks really messy. I need to get better at using paths
You're very welcome! I wish you all the luck with your farm :D
@@Fuzzireno yes, but when a fruit tree is already three years old, it will give gold quality fryit
@@ScrawnyQuaggua6305 Thats true... Base the farm around the tree haha!
@@Fuzzireno haha, that's true. Although again I have so much gold I'm not too worried. But that would be a fun challenge to design around.
Great video! Exactly what I was looking for. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, this really helped me start to be able to visualize a good layout for my farm.
You're very welcome!
I decided to start playing sv again after a year long break. I was never good with organization or anything so this video is definitely a massive help. on a side note, you have a very nice voice. idk what it is but I really like the way you speak. thanks for the video !
Welcome back to Stardew! I hope you have an amazing adventure :D And also thank you for your kind words ❤
Another tip: You dont have to grow starfruit and/or ancient fruit in your greenhouse. You can also grow and make tea and coffee (which I'll be doing).
How do you get coffee seeds
tysm! my farm is gonna have a glow up
You're very welcome! I'm excited for your farm to look gorgeous :D
You can also tap mahogany trees for sap, so they don’t have to be for decoration.
I didn't realise this until after the video was uploaded. Yes you're correct!
4:46 I want to make a correction;
greenhouse has 12x10 tiles which is 120 and with 4 sprinklers in it, you should have 116 tiles for crops. Not 96.
I didn't know that decorating the farm was that easy! I am planning to decorate it later because I am poor in Stardew Valley right now and I will make the farm like seasonal (Just the crops and the flowers because that will be too much work for 1 month in stardew valley)
Thank god for these tips
I just started playing this game for the first time
Really glad you found the video helpful!
i’m in my 4th year so i’m gonna start rearranging my farm. this is so cool and helpful ^^
That'll be fun :D Your farm will look awesome!
Love your video, you sound so cute and the contents are definitely helpful for my farm. Thanks!
You can place a floor underneath fences to add a nice extra border
That's true, thanks for sharing!
Wow! Your really underated! Thanks for the help btw!
Omg thank you :D I'm glad the video helped!
@@Fuzzireno :D
dang now my farm can look beautiful:)
Yay that'll be awesome! :D
This is really helpful, thank you!
Ouh this is exactly what i needed!☝🏻❤️
Thank you sm! ^^ after my 5th year I finally started to decorate 😅
HOW AM I NOW FINDING YOU! This was wonderful. You're lovely. Thank you for this! *Subscribed*
I've been hiding apparently haha! So glad you enjoyed the video :D
Those are awesome tipps! :) I will try that :)
Omg thank you this helped so much and I was wondering how people got those paths outside
Thanks for sharing all this, I definitely agree this is a great idea!
I’m new but I was Suprised everyone is so nice thanks for the tips 😁
Really cute farm, love how you decorated it! I only wondered about the fact that your animals don't have any grass. I always make sure they have a lot of grass so am wondering if the hearts build just as quickly even without the grass. Although, tbh, I haven't ever really kept track of how fast they build with the availability of grass. So, maybe I should try it both ways and keep track.😁
Oh!
I'm so glad the video helped :D And yesss, oak resin is sooo useful for those using kegs! That made me so proud haha
