  • 45min flight with an ultralight Atec Zephyr to our training area for some steep turns and simulated engine failure gliding.

    What engine do you have in that Zephyr? It does not sound like Rotax to me.

      It's a standard ROTAX 912 UL 80 HP :) Maybe the GoPro has done something to the audio.

      OK :-). I was not sure :-). I am going to fly in Zephyr this week. I flew in Zephyr in flying school. Good plane for a lot of fun.

      That's nice to hear :) Zephyrs really are a lot of fun and make you feel the air nicely. My school uses Diamond DA20/DA40NGs so Zephyrs are a great choice for just enjoying the feeling of freedom up there :)

    i m 1m90 tall, do you think I will be good in the zephyr ?

      I think you might have to bend your knees a bit more than comfortable, because the Atec Zephyr 122 doesn't have adjustable rudder pedals. Instead, there are optional and removable lengtheners to compensate if you are shorter. I am 175cm tall and can't use those parts so I could have my legs almost straight when pushing full rudder. It's that tight in there. Hope this helps at least some. :) Still, you should try somewhere, don't take my word for it!
