So glad to see you back at it my friend!!! I hope all is well.
Its interesting to see the different laws and things carried across the world.
If i read correctly they allow firearms carried in Israel but are very restrictive on knives.
Where as in Canada for the moment anyways they are after firearms but allow knives. I can carry any fixed blade i want as long as its visible but cant carry any firearms. Not even a muzzle load. LoL
Dont get me wrong its illegal to use a knife in self-defense here but then self-defense is basically illegal here 🙄
In the city i live in we have a river flowing right threw the middle. So i carry fishing gear as well as a good fixed blade.
Ive even started to carry a kukri on a shoulder strap. It really is the perfect tool. Field stripping an animal, food prep, chopping wood, and even some wood work.
Ive taken a liking to the sog powerpint. Even with carrying screwdriver bits with it in a nylon sheath, it is light and very convenient.
I havent found a flashlight that i want to settle with. I carry a basic no name flash light for now. Its about 100 lumens, which for the most part is all i need and as a bonus requires triple A batteries. But its a little long for my taste.
My shorter brighter light, the button is to sensitive and i find it turned on to often and isna rechargeable light. Which i can deal with the rechargeable but i prefer batteries i can change out.
I am a little jealous of your collection 🤣 slowly working on mine though. Anyways i always enjoy your videos, thank you for sharing.
    Cheers 🍻

      Hi buddy! ❤️
Yeah, It really has been a while, happy to be back here with new videos for you guys 🙏
The PowerPint is a fantastic multitool from SOG, one of the few I can actually recommend! 🔥
      (I'm sticking to my Dime/Squirt though 😉)
As for the every day flashlight - honestly just go pick up an Olight i3T and throw it in your pocket for a week, you'll find it very sufficient for most needs and you still keep the ability to swap out AAA batteries on the fly 🤘
Glad to see you back here, buddy!

I have the Gerber Short Cut. It is built like a micro tank. Solid and it has help up well for over 25 years. But....even since new the knife and scissors never cut very well. Infact, I never used a Gerber blade product that ever impressed me.

Really enjoyed this video with my morning coffee! I agree with your view of the bottle opener and package opener on the dime. Best wishes to you and your family!

    Happy to see you back!
Yeah replacing the compact is tough, I tried the same with the Wenger S557 which looks just like yours! Essentially I just wanted more functionality, especially with the pliers. But even though the weight didn't end up being that much of a problem, especially in a Viperade Organizer I still don't like it as much as I thought. I was kinda surprised about the less than ideal build quality, especially since it's technically still a victorinox. Simple things like the scissors not lining up correctly... Maybe it's just a Wenger thing.

Exactly! I feel the same way, it's like a Victorinox but not really a Victorinox, kinda weird to explain until you have it in your hand and try using it 🤷🏻‍♂️
Thanks for watching the video, buddy!

@@Practical_EDC absolutely. I really like the different scales for the grip and stuff. But it's just not as "precise" is how I would describe it

    • @Practical_EDC
      @Practical_EDC  Год назад +1

Yes, I completely agree - it lacks the precision and fit&finish of the actual Victorinox-made Swiss Army Knives.
Same goes to the "Cigar Cutter" I reviewed a while back, also a Victorinox-Wenger hybrid.

I very much recommend both lights you see in this video -
The Olight i5T and the i5R, both can run on either a regular AA or the 14500, I use them heavily and interchangeably on a weekly basis, both are great options for every day carry in my opinion 🤘

I am confused. How is it legal to carry around a AR-15 in Israel but illegal to carry a locking pocket knife?

I uploaded a video going in depth on Israeli knife laws:
