Kind of funny. Just let my buddy at work have my Comspirator and started carrying a Civivi fixed blade Elementum. It’s a little long but I’ve enjoyed carrying it more then I thought. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
Love the video Zac, I've had to cut back my watching of EDC & knife RUclips videos because every time I watch these damn video's I want new EDC gear. I already have an Alpaka sling, Olight, Knipex Pliers, iPhone and a few Big Idea pens. Keep up the terrific videos, I never miss one.
I carry a custom leather bifold card wallet with money clip, Kershaw Leek, regular key ring with keys, leatherman skelotool and NEBO flash light. I’ve been contemplating updating my folder not sure what I want to get $150 max budget unless I find an awesome used knife.
@@kingofoneself9 Civi elementum , Kiser Azo vanguard are definitely on my radar open others. Wood, green micarta and Certain G10 scales what what I’m leaning toward as well.
Zac, I love the channel and vids! I’ve been thinking about scout carry...seems like a great out-of-the-way option... more for convenience, not self defense or tactical reasons. I’m looking into smaller fixed blades...6”- 7” total. You mention it every now and then...How about a dedicated video? Keep up the amazing content! 603!!!
Looks like a simpleshot slingshot that you have. I have two from them and they are awesome. Maybe I should think about adding one to my edc. Thanks for the video 👍
I really like my Ti Maratac AAA light, it's super small but gets really bright for it's size, and the run time is good, that's on me all the time. I have a Wuben X0 clipped to the strap of my junk bag so I can have hands free lighting if I need it.
I have that Tops slingshot in my Garage Built Gear mighty pouch and I also have a little tin to hold about 9 steel ball ammo. Been carrying that for a year or so and it's fun to take it out and plink objects when you're in a more secluded area.
Love that CJRB pyrite. I want the premium model with the titanium frame and micarta inlays. Such a gorgeous knife and a very useful and versatile design. Love it!
If you extend the bottle opener on the gerber and turn it over, you can pry with it. I think they actually count that as a tool. Then if you choose it, it's a hammer/striking surface
I carry a Tesseract Tactical NF1, O-Light Baton 3, Knipex Cobra 4” on my person. Keep a Para 2 and Yojimbo 2 in my sling pack. Looking for my first fixed blade carry. Looking forward to your video on that. Mad love for the channel! Thanks!
My current EDC is a Knafs Lander, Olight i5T, and a Big Ideas pen in a custom pen sheath. Zac if you are looking to get into sling shots you should check out the Sling Rod by Snypit EDC Designs . I think you'll like how it looks being a car guy.
My edc consistently is the “core 4”: traditional slipjoint like GEC, retro 51 pen, lumintop tool AA, and a zippo. I’ll occasionally add a small fixed blade or modern folder. The lumintop tool AA is a no BS flashlight that takes a normal battery. Once I got over the steel/materials/fidget factor war of modern folders I’ve enjoyed carrying traditionals more. Plus leather makers are abundant and keeping a knife in a custom pocket slip allows it to reflect my own interests/personality. The retro 51 pen and zippo are another way to add personality.
I’ve been carrying the Zip Pouch Pro as my wallet for about 6 months now. I only pull out my old minimalist wallet now when I’m in a suit. Every other day it’s my Alpaka. I keep my Tactile Bexar, a Chicago Comb carbon fiber comb, and a Victorinox Classic Alox in it, along with all my standard wallet stuff (credit cards, ID, etc.).
Always much enjoyed Zac and Jamie - this kind of ties into your everyday backpack you mentioned at the end of your video. I just put together an emergency survival back pack. This was actually recommended during a church service (during Covid pandemic) this past winter, but I never got around to it. It makes great sense, you never know when an emergency or catastrophic event will occur- greatly enjoyed the process, and it actually took a lot of thought and planning. I still feel I am missing some important gear though. I would love to see a video about your perfect emergency/survival backpack - everyone should have one. Thank you! Great video!
Zac, my dude. Great to see your setup! Might I HIGHLY recommend you try out the Acebeam Pokelit AA in place of your i3T EOS, I’ve just swapped them out and it’s an absolute game-changer. It has a memory function that remembers your preferred setting (for me that’s the medium beam which is 190 lumens, a little more than the high setting on the i3T), it has a moonlight that’s like 1 lumen and a high that’s 550 for 30 seconds and then drops down to about 350). I’ve not looked back since changing, and though its slightly larger, the versatility you get over the i3T is INSANE! Anyway, nice to see your updated EDC. Thanks again!
If you add the slingshot be sure to grab some Kentucky Coffee beans seeds (tree in Midwest) and shoot them at the cement we always did that as kids to hear them whistle on ricochet
There is a very good reason to carry a slingshot, if you're not a vegetarian/vegan. If you are, that's fine too, and it is fun ... as well as defensive. I hang my fixed blade from my belt, and carry my folder in my pocket. My OS Bag does have much more in it, as well. Nice video. Thanks.
Carried a slingshot every where when I was a kid. You can get very accurate with them great for killing time. Just gotta be careful where you use them. Been EDCing ffixed blades for a few years now. The way my hands and thumbs work the only folders I can use anymore are flippers.
Current edc… Pena X Series Alacran, Tactile KnifevCo Dreadeye, Streamlight ProTac 2L-X, Lynch Ti keychain clip for my keys, Apple Watch, Ghurka leather wallet, leather man’s coin purse with KAI ultra thin nail clippers, chapstick, P365XL in Vedder holster, and iPhone 13 Pro plus.
My current set up: Knife - MKM Mikro. It has such a small footprint that I keep coming back to it over other pocket fixed blades and folders. Lots of exciting stuff from Shot Show, so I am looking forward to the coming year. Multitool - Leatherman Rebar. The most used tool is the ruler, surprisingly. Nice to get a quick and dirty measurement while at work. Light - Olight Warrior Mini. The battery life alone is enough to highly recommend this one. Pen/ paper - Various versions of what was formerly called the Ti-scribe bolt action pen and Moleskine Volant XS. Much like you, the pen is mainly for the fidget factor. I'll use the notebook at work for keeping track of stuff in a place other than my phone. Funnily enough, I was contemplating something like a slingshot as well. Or rather, making a simple sling from some paracord to muck about with.
Alas, it is a peculiarity of my workplace and what I do. I don't use it at all outside of that, but I can't go without it at work at this point. Easier to just have a tool on hand rather than go grab the ready made thing that is provided (and also not easily carried around).
I am a huge EDC optimizer as i am a lot on the go as a soundengineer on stages. My biggest thing is actually the Tale of Knives BIG Boy organizer on my Blue Force Gear Belt. You need a Surge on stage everything smaller isnt doing it. Flashlight more important then a knive on Stage because its always dark . Sharpie TwinTip instad of an normal Pen because it can write on evrything. And with all the knives i have tried, the PM2 is still the King under the folders.
Thanks for another great video Zac and Jamie. Always happy when I see a new one waiting for me to watch. You guys are doing great with getting the content out here for us viewers to enjoy. 🤙🏽
Change is good! Love using a in pocket fixed blade. I always carry a fixed blade in my left pocket for harder use tasks. I recommend a Jakebcreates Chikadee by Jakeb Ginsberg. Great size and awesome steels🤙🏼
Great video mate. I made my first one today showing my own EDC tools and pouch. I have a viperade pouch and use the Knipex Cobra XS pliers. Alongside other EDC tools. Love the channel and it's inspired me to start my own.
I'm in love with my CJRB Pyrite! It's such a great value at $50, and I highly recommend the stonewash finish version. It's a nearly perfect EDC folder!
On the Gerber ArmBar Slim Drive, it does have a bottle opener on the opposite end that could probably in a pinch function as a better prybar, rather than jimmying and (possibly) breaking the screwdriver arm. Just something I rediscovered on mine recently. Great loadout, though!
As of right now I'm carrying a ceramic Mastercraft knife, a Browning knife, little Swiss army knife because of course, and a balisong trainer. Small carry but I've got what I need and want
I’ve been rocking the squid, tpt slide and Gerber chonk for the last couple months. It was hard to take my elementum out of my carry, but the squid has become my new favourite knife. I’m gonna get the Pilar next though because it’s a big bigger than the squid
I carry a SAK SPARTAN and a Kizer Domin, zebra F-701,standard flip phone,(personal) and a galaxy phone for work. Gerber EAB, bic lighter, and an Alonefire flash light daily. Also have a WW1 reproduction of a canvas Map bag (yes a man purse) to carry other things in .Love your videos Zac.🦉
I’ve been noticing a lot of channels featuring fixed blades lately. My most recent addition, the LT Wright Great Plainsman is an excellent edc fixed blade. I cut the belt loop off the sheath and if fits great in the pocket.
12:47 i am pretty good with slingshots and i think a little explanation would help you a lot if you are just getting started. the technology has advanced a in a short amount of time so you have to get onboard with what is new. so the biggest change is that slingshots get their power from speed not from draw weight so tubes are obsolete now they are just too heavy and slow so you need to make your own flat bands and it takes a whole crafting kit but you need to cut them tapered so that the latex moves faster and are lighter and if the pouch size and weight doesn’t match the ammo size and the bands then it won’t work. if you buy ammo pouches you will get a basic description that it’s for 1/4”-3/8” ammo or something like that but it’s perfect for 7/16” works okay for 3/8” is really loose for the 5/16” ammo and will not work at all for 1/4” so if you want to be good at shooting the smaller ammo then you need to make your own pouches too and the only DIY material which works is kangaroo leather because it’s stronger than any other kind of leather and is also thinner so lightweight which is important because it needs to fit the ammunition closely in size. 1/4” doesn’t pack a punch and it’s more difficult to get a clean release but it’s much cheaper and easier to carry on you in an edc application, like it’s the least practical but it looks great on a magnet and it is the fastest way to improve your shooting and it still flies good. 5/16” is probably my favorite to shoot but it doesn’t pack a punch 3/8” is the most common thing to shoot and it’s awesome so that’s where most people start and you with 3/8” you don’t have to make your own pouches. with target shooting i have a 2” bullseye setup 100ft outside my living room window and i can get a 3/8” to go around 300ft but to hunt you need to think differently and get heavier ammo and bands and think 30ft or less. take a fishing weight and hammer it into a hex nut for heavier ammo. the frame isn’t very important but if you diy from wood you have to use a natural fork or it will break and there are a lot of custom makers because there’s a ton of classic designs that you can print online because they are public domain so it’s easier to understand what you’re buying from a custom maker because almost always it’s based on a trusted design but the two best brands for snobs is simple shot or wasp each are around $50 but there are a lot of good chinese options under $20 but don’t get a wooden chinese slingshot because they don’t usually use natural forks so they break easily. DO NOT buy a pickle fork. they look really cool but what is much cooler is not breaking the bones in your hand. people who buy pickles forks takes a special release with both hands or you will shoot your hand and people buy them because they look cool and are smaller and easier to carry but it is not worth it don’t do it. you should take two locking bit drivers with a box end for a ratchet and attach them to the ends of the handle on your knipex pliers so that it turns it into a multi tool and then you could make like a quick attachment slingshot for it to store in your pouch
Absolutely dig these videos. I also would love to see your edc bag. My edc changes quite often due to having different gear but having a knife, multi tool and flashlight are staples for me. Keep up the grind🤟
Good stuff Zac👍 I just recently started EDC'ing a flashlight and now won't go anywhere without it. It's the 500 lumen Milwaukee rechargeable magnetic EDC light with dual clip. Great piece. Other than that, I always have a variety of different knives on me. I change them out every few days.
Can't wait to see the upcoming videos on some of the gear. Made the mistake of falling down the OTF rabbit hole looking at the shootout or the Axial shift. Most of the rest of my edc is set how i like
Currently an XDS , knafs blacked out lander, olight 3t eos. The rest is basic. I always battle what to put in the edc bag. Usually a couple diapers and wipes. Wipes are unbelievably handy.
My edc as of late- my Bugout CF elite, my Victorinox Farmer X, then I have been carrying a white River Knives ATK- a wonderful edc fixed blade. I added some paracord to it. But for an American made S35VN steel knife at $100 is great!
Another great video Zac and Jamie! That Pete’s pirate life fixed blade is really awesome, I haven’t carried a daily fixed blade before but I’ve been looking for a good one for months now. After seeing your video when you guys went to tops and you should your alpaca pocket organizer I went on the hunt for one for myself, I found a company on Etsy called leattweed out of Ukrainian that make a big selection of different size canvas organizers, I got one about the size you have Zac and I’ve had it about three or four weeks now and I love it. Thanks for the green content.
Most of my edc is on the keychain, and it's rather basic. An olight i3e Flashlight, a nite ize doohickey, a peanut lighter, a tiny pill bottle holding about a hundred feet of 80lb fishing line wrapped around a safety pin, and a true utility telescoping pen. Sounds like a lot, but it's pretty compact. In addition, I carry a small multitool I got from cabellas which I use for electrical.

I am adding a Magnacut Buck 110 to my belt because why not ... Can't wait for the next video!
Hi Zac, love the vid!! One note about EDC'ing a slingshot. If you carry one in your pocket make sure it 's legal wherever you happen to be. Believe it or not, even in Alabama where I live it's still illegal carry a slingshot concealed.
This’ll probably never get seen but…thank you WE! Thank you Civivi! You’re sponsoring one of the top review channels on yt. Nice setup. I look forward to seeing which light you end up with. I love my PD36R, which is bigger than what you are carrying. Not a fan of Apple, but the rest of your EDC seems solid.
So I have a suggestion you might dig for your flashlight mount setup. You know those small, half inch Velcro tie down straps that you find on those doggy poo bag holders? Well anyways, just a small Velcro tie down strap is a much more secure mounting option for your glasses, and also looks cleaner on your light. Cheers zac, love the channel
So I carry at least one thing for fun on me all the time. I rotate through a few things (harmonica, jaw harp, sling shot, super ball, etc.) and it’s really nice to just have something on you for the sake of fun. It makes sitting in a park or walking through the woods a little more fun. Definitely would recommend the sling shot carry. I have the brass Carry Commission sling. It’s fun, but I will say, on a smaller sling shot, it’s hard to get a longer distance shot. The small forks make it a little more risky for your fingers that are holding the slingshot.

I'm carrying a Leatherman Free P2 (My go-to multitool for years now!), an Olight Arkfeld, a Fisher Space Pen Astronaut, a Boker Kwaiken Button Lock (one of my latest favorite knives in my rotation), and my Urban Survival EDC pouch!
Great versatile carry!
Kind of funny. Just let my buddy at work have my Comspirator and started carrying a Civivi fixed blade Elementum. It’s a little long but I’ve enjoyed carrying it more then I thought. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
I really like that Elementum Fixed blade!
Totally support EDC slingshot. SimpleShot Scout LT, great sling. Also fun to do w/ the kids.
keep it going Zac.
Hey Zac and Jamie, I would love to see videos discussing the best in-pocket fixed blade knife options and a modern traditional slip joint video.
Really means a lot! Glad you’ve found some good gear selections😁
Love it!
It is an awesome one!
@@zacinthewild - yeah that's my kind of knife!
Thanks!
2022 was the year of the button lock. 2023 looks like the year of the pocket fixed blade.
Yes!
I was thinking the same thing. Fixed blades started to work for me a little less than 2 years ago once it dawned on me to carry it in pocket.
Love my alpaca pouch too, i just added a carabiner and have it every day in my back pocket
My current EDC is a Knafs Lander, Olight i5T, and a Big Ideas pen in a custom pen sheath. Zac if you are looking to get into sling shots you should check out the Sling Rod by Snypit EDC Designs . I think you'll like how it looks being a car guy.
Thanks for the suggestion🤘
Fun video. Good transparency. I'm with you guys. Keep up the great work.
Awesome carry!
Waiting on the Alpaka rig you've got. I let them know I found it on your channel. Keep up the great work.
Hair tie hero! LOVE it. Especially with a granddaughter. I have a hair tie always. You rule
I like your slingshot idea. And they are very useful in certain situations like dogs or other creatures that might like to bother us.
I carry the Olight I3T E0S. It's a great light for the price. Nice to see you trying it
Thanks for the great EDC ideas! Always looking to tweak my carry. I’ve officially reached the point where I have seasonal carry.
Glad it was helpful!
Current edc… Pena X Series Alacran, Tactile KnifevCo Dreadeye, Streamlight ProTac 2L-X, Lynch Ti keychain clip for my keys, Apple Watch, Ghurka leather wallet, leather man’s coin purse with KAI ultra thin nail clippers, chapstick, P365XL in Vedder holster, and iPhone 13 Pro plus.
My current set up:
Knife - MKM Mikro.
I love hearing the ruler as most used! I’ve never had much use for them on tool. I’m really stoked for some of the SHOT show announcements to drop!
Alas, it is a peculiarity of my workplace and what I do. I don't use it at all outside of that, but I can't go without it at work at this point. Easier to just have a tool on hand rather than go grab the ready made thing that is provided (and also not easily carried around).
I love pocket carry fixed blades for EDC. That Pete's Pirate knife is really sweet looking.
First off I’ve loved your contacts and first found you on Blade HQ. And absolutely do a video on what’s in your EDC bag.
Yeah WE/Civivi for the sponsorship! 💜
Great people!
Ranger band around the flashlight also works for me. The band gives it some grip and is a little neater to look at.
Love it!
Thanks for another great video Zac and Jamie. Always happy when I see a new one waiting for me to watch. You guys are doing great with getting the content out here for us viewers to enjoy. 🤙🏽
Really appreciate it!
The 5 inch cobras in a LNW leather sleeve is perfection. I’ve been carrying my Zaan since BSW
Change is good! Love using a in pocket fixed blade. I always carry a fixed blade in my left pocket for harder use tasks. I recommend a Jakebcreates Chikadee by Jakeb Ginsberg. Great size and awesome steels🤙🏼
Going to check them out🤘
Great video mate. I made my first one today showing my own EDC tools and pouch.
I have a viperade pouch and use the Knipex Cobra XS pliers. Alongside other EDC tools.
Love the channel and it's inspired me to start my own.
Love my quad lock, especially for motorcycle mounting. You need to get the quad lock finger ring. I use it so much.
I'm in love with my CJRB Pyrite! It's such a great value at $50, and I highly recommend the stonewash finish version. It's a nearly perfect EDC folder!
It really is so good!
I can't live without a flashlight. Love the hair tie glasses hack
Glad to see someone else rocking the squid!
For the squid or Pilar try to get a G10 or Micarta front scale. Makes them a whole new knife that is just awesome🤘
I’ve been carrying the Milwaukee 2105 flashlight and have been really liking it. It does take two AAA batteries so it is a bit larger.
Awesome carry! I would love to at least bump down to a flip phone!
Nice. I carry a simple shot, cheap accurate great and for passing time while waiting for something.
I now have to get the Milwaukee light!!!!😁
Can't wait to see the upcoming videos on some of the gear. Made the mistake of falling down the OTF rabbit hole looking at the shootout or the Axial shift. Most of the rest of my edc is set how i like
OTF’s are a deep rabbit hole for sure😁
They’re also illegal to carry in New York State.
@@eddiecastellana9339 lucky for me I live in Alaska where it's legal
Currently an XDS , knafs blacked out lander, olight 3t eos. The rest is basic.
I always battle what to put in the edc bag. Usually a couple diapers and wipes. Wipes are unbelievably handy.
Simple and practical! Love it💪
My edc as of late- my Bugout CF elite, my Victorinox Farmer X, then I have been carrying a white River Knives ATK- a wonderful edc fixed blade.
Awesome! I’m going to have to check them out👊
Most of my edc is on the keychain, and it's rather basic.
Hey Zac, I’ve been carrying the knipex 5 inch cobra plyers, Olight S1R baton 2 (stored in the alpaca pocket organizer of course), Bradford guardian 3, and Bradford guardian 5.5.
Awesome carry! Glad that pouch is coming in handy🤘
Love the video! ... My carry remains constant with a folding knife (We Banter 20CV w/ Ti Scales), Wallet (K&H Leather Akita), Watch (Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic), Phone (Samsung Galaxy Fold 4), Pocket Trash (Worry Free Cheese Stone), and Keys which my Olight Keychain light ... I am adding a Magnacut Buck 110 to my belt because why not ... Can't wait for the next video!
So jealous you got a magnacut Buck! Great carry all around🤘
Yes, let's see the EDC backpack setup and gear list!
Zac your doing a great job man. Love the videos and the way you approach things. Thank you. Hope your well.
Thanks man! All good here hope the same for you🤘
Thanks Zac, I'll be getting the knife and the pouch
Hi Zac, love the vid!! One note about EDC'ing a slingshot. If you carry one in your pocket make sure it 's legal wherever you happen to be. Believe it or not, even in Alabama where I live it's still illegal carry a slingshot concealed.
The second what you tell was right Knipex with a hard K because it comes here from Germany!Have a nice weekend!
Thanks!👊
This’ll probably never get seen but…thank you WE! Thank you Civivi! You’re sponsoring one of the top review channels on yt. And I say that in a sense where no product or agenda gets shoved down our throat like some other channels. You support genuine creators and that tells us (the audience) that you guys are genuine yourselves! Thank you.
😂
Nice setup. I look forward to seeing which light you end up with. I love my PD36R, which is bigger than what you are carrying. Not a fan of Apple, but the rest of your EDC seems solid.
Got bullied into the phone🤣. Honestly hate it.
@@zacinthewild escape quickly, before you get sucked too deep into the Apple ecology!
I've used a few of the Alpaka pouches. They're great!
You should do a video at the Civivi factory so we can see all the happy workers.
Zac, you should fix the Alpaka link; it currently opens up to the Olight flashlight, not the Alpaka.
Fixed. Thanks!
Love the music carry! I find having something fun on me helps me not waist time on my phone🤘
Great edc. Looking forward to that edc fixed blades compilation. I'm currently on the hunt for one.
